I generally budget $150 a day. And I seldom have more than one "session" a day. Sometimes none.

And, no, I don't spend 100 a day on booze. LOL.

Alcohol 50k
Girls, including bar fines, 80k
Transport 5k
Tailor 30k
Gifts for family at home 25k

This works out at just over $US300 per day, those of you on a tighter budget mat think this is a little over the top, i can assure you it is not.

At this point I've got a better idea of how arrange my trip.

I read that not all user agree with each other's budget but I will assume an average of 3. 500 bath per day, making a balance between wilder and quieter days.

Still, I don't want to wait for a later trip when season is hotter, so I will probably reduce my holiday and cut on days rather than cut on fun.

I think that Thai Airlines is the only way for me to get there with a nonstop flight. It's getting me crazy to see rates raising and lowering from week to week, from date to date, it's hard to get an insight on when you might book at best price (same date, same company), sooner, later? All through last week flights for incoming December were cheaper than flights for January. I don't get it, nobody from north Italy going there for Christmas and everybody going in January?

Blu-express is the same to Blue-Panorama. Flights are available only on Friday, so you have to make either 2 or 3 weeks square, but most of all fares are close to Thai (you don't save much) and they now results "full" for my dates (I think they play some tricks too with that).

Can you link me one of the site you mention? I keep scanning company to company and each gives me high rate.

I would have to say that you will have to pay the bar fine anything from 200bht to 1000bht depending on the where you BF from.

Then you will have to pay the girls fee 500-2000 ST 1000-3000LT


If you get a girl Free Lancer from a night club like Marine, Lucifiers or from the Beer Garden or Beach road then no BF but you will have to still pay the girl 500 ST or 1000LT.

Prices are not much different nowadays than they were back in January 2008. But, if I am not mistaken, US$ is lower and euro is higher now than (almost) two years ago. As you are coming from Milan, I guess that you are an Italian national, so, it's better to indicate what is your budget in euro.

You probably can save around 150 or 200 euro on your flight though. I don't know exactly what are your vacation dates in January 2010, but I've found a round trip ticket Milan-Bangkok at 722 euro with Emirates Airlines on [url="http://www.govoyages.com/"]GoVoyages[/url] with a departure on January 9th and return trip on January 30th 2010. You might even find better deals depending on your actual vacation dates.

Return taxi fare from Pattaya to Bangkok: You can find almost everywhere in Pattaya taxi fares at 800 or 850 baht, but usually not including tollway fees.

Accommodation: You can find a decent hotel room with A/C in the 500-800 baht range per night, and even cheaper (however, the location is not always great then or you won't have A/C but only a fan in your room, but it could be only 250-350 baht per night approximately).

Food and drinks: If you eat mostly at the street stalls and Thai working class restaurants and drink moderately, for instance mostly water and only 3 or 4 beer cans (or bottles of iced tea, soda water, coke, or whatever) by day and buy them mostly in the 7-Eleven stores, you can spend only 200 or 300 baht (approximately) per day on food and drinks. But don't forget that you may have to pay also food and drinks for a girl if you find someone who wishes to stay 24/24h with you.

Girls: You can save on bar fines if you only pick up freelancers. A lot of them will agree to go with you for 500 baht ST or 1000 baht LT. Older girls (and/or the less attractive ones) might even go for 300 baht ST. You also might have better deals if you negotiate a price for several days with the same girl (but you should be very careful and select your girl wisely for not being stuck with a boring or a too jealous one, for instance). If you want to have a girl that will stay 24/24h with you, not only you will have to buy food for her too, but also entertain her and probably, offer her a few gifts too.

So, if you can save a bit on your flight ticket, it's probably possible to spend 3 weeks in Pattaya with a total budget of 2000 euro (including your flight ticket), but you must be very reasonable on everything and you won't shag many girls (one LT or two ST per day mostly with freelancers) and can't do many extras (almost no shopping for you, and no expensive non-mongering activities).

For various reasons I went with Devil's Den girls on two nights, and on both those days my expenditure was less than average...

Knowing that I have a hot totty booked for the night means I'm not tempted during the day (so no visit to Soi 6), and I'm pretty relaxed in the evening (so no need to trawl the bars and buy multiple lady drinks at several bars). A couple of beers in a quiet bar is enough.

the ambience and appearance of the place is vastly improved, the sleazy atmosphere is gone. chose a smiley-type girl or should say she chose me but must she have misread her duty description because she was more interested in tossing my salad than blowing me but i will never pass up an opportunity to enjoy that pleasurable event. all the girls seem to be very happy and in upbeat spirits with a couple of them saying come back and get me tomorrow, while others were smiling and giggling.

Prices do increase but you also have to take into consideration the exchange rate as well on my first trip in 2005 i could get nearly 70bht to a £. In January this year I was lucky to get 50bht to a £, now it is around 55 bht to a £. So this makes things more expensive .

Do you reckon you can get a better rate changing currency in your country before travel or once there? Or not much difference?
