This should post on the travel plan section ,I am also a US citizen you no longer can get china visa in Thailand it is only offer to Thai citizens as china is getting restrict on visa .
It is best for you to get it in the US before you leave or get it in Hong Kong ,you can get single or 2 entries tourist china visa can get in one day at cts travel service ,they stop issue business visa back in april not sure they do now or not but you will need a letter from your company.

Well Nana is not a great place agreed.
But to be fair, the street in Nana is no worse and probably better than the street in Guangzhou, China as soon as I exited my Hotel, where was swamped by very ordinary looking girls with massive padding in their bras. The quality was no located there in the street.

It all depends on personal taste.
Stunners are around and you just have to get lucky to bump into one. One day there was a stunner working on the door at Christies. I would have acted except that I was just going to the 7eleven and already had a girl back at my room.
