I've been mongering, particularly in Aksaray, for almost 7-8 years but I have never seen this area such quiet when I come back after a 6 months trip in abroad. Seranda is no more available, Bacardi is closed, Bulvar is closed, Balance is empty, Irmak's street is empty at 3 a.m. What is happening in Aksaray?

My brief report on istanbul

Was there last week and my bit of info

1. Taxim. This area is full of guys trying to take you to nightclub and they only fleece you. NEVER go with any stranger to a nightclub. The damage could be easily 100$ for just a couple of beers.

2. Aksaray

Bacardi is open. Lots of girls and crowded too but is also expensive. Just to call a girl to your table to discuss would cost you 180YTL and then ST cost is generally 150-200 USD

Good place to be in for sometime.

Balance has entry fee of 40YTL with a free drink. Here you can go to the dance floor and negotiate with girls directly. This was a good place and girls rate were in the range of 100-150USD plus room for 100 YTL.

Went to a couple of more places but balance seems to be the right place.

First of all, Istanbul is not very easy as a place for mongering. Not if you are used to the rest of Europe. And by all means, forget about a car. Take taxi.
