Regarding your long wait at the border, it seems from OldGoat98's two very helpful links, the times to avoid the border are the 14-hour window between about 6:15 AM and 8 PM, especially Saturday and Sunday, followed by either Monday or Friday (the 4 worst days for that 14-hour window). It seems there are only 10 good hours daily to make a run for the border.

Here are benefits that I use:

(a) 20% discount on rooms for thre day. That is $10 savings per day. I doubt you can do an online reservation until you have the card.

(b) Longer time in the short term room. Your normal 30 minutes gets extended to 45 minutes or even longer.

(c) First drink of the day is free.

(d) No cover to pay on weekends. Just walk in and out as much as you please.

(e) Free limo to the boarder. A taxi would cost $4+$1 tip, and I give the drive $3 tip, so it doesn't save much.

(f) Free limo pickup at the boarder. I've never done this.

(g) I never use the personal waiter. Pretty silly to me, there are already too many waiters in that place.

When you take the girl to your prepaid room, that is all you do. You just taker here there. No checkin proceedure is needed. If you think you have the squirter, get a different room because you don't want to sleep on sheets that she has honored with her squirts.

I just bought my VIP card this Friday. It's good for 4 months. I go to Tijuana at least 2 times a month for a couple of days at a time so for me it's really worth it. On Friday and Saturday nights they charge a cover. With the card all you do is flash it and you go right in every time. 1st beer is free and half off the lap dances upstairs ($11). You can make a reservation online and say you have a VIP card then before you checkin to your room go to the front entrance and buy the VIP card. Once VIP card is in hand then go to check in and now you have your 20% discount. This is exactly what I did this weekend. When taking a girl from HK upstairs just tell her that you have a room upstairs. All you will need is to buy condoms where you checked in. I suggest to bring your own condoms from the USA. You can also take girls from tropical and las chavelas to your room. Also the street walker hanging out in the alley in front of the back entrance to cascadas will go up to your room. Some other Street walker might also come up but it's not for sure. Once you plan on leaving Tijuana go to the front of HK and tell them you want a ride to the border. They'll ask to see you VIP card. Then a limo will show up and your off to the birder. If you plan on staying 4 days then you will definitely get your money's worth.

I wonder if it is 20% off or 50% off (Mon., Tues.) for the mastersuites as well. At $100/ night that would be a real value!

I agree that it is worth it, barely, for four days if those four days include a Friday or Saturday. The money is about even, but what pushes it over the edge is the convenience of bypassing the cover charge.

I never filled out any paper for a free drink. Never. I go where I got my VIP card. I tell the girl that I want my free drink and she gives me a ticket and you take it directly to the bartender and I get my free drink within 3 minutes.

I emailed the Cascadas and they told me that a VIP card can be used for 20% off any room including the $100 Master Suites and even 50% off the Master Suites on Monday and Tuesday nights!! That would pay for the card with a single nights stay!

I first discovered Tijuana back in 2002 and man, that was some good time. Being young and stuff, I was there almost every weekend (I live in LA). I still remember when Chicago club is the place to be, followed by AB, then HK was just a small ghetto bar with those lap dance booth upstairs. When all those drug cartel news, I stoppped going there for maybe 5 years now, so fast forward to 2014 and here goes the story.

So my buddy haven't been to Tijuana yet, so I took it my personal mission to take him there.
