The names are : Nana Hotel, Circuit Hotel and Bolina Palace Hotel. All 3 offer rooms for around $20 a night and should be a notch up quality wise from the overpriced Flamingo.

Some of the girls in the hotel bar are quite cute and go with customers. I've heard good things about the Circuit Hotel, from Flamingos walk past Heart of Darkness and take the first road on the left, the hotel is on the right.

I stayed there for 4 nights. Paid 24 bucks a night for a twin room. The rooms are adequate. They have tv and good beds. There was no safe in my room and I asked for one. They brought it to my room for me at no extra cost. I know that sounds weird but not every guest asks for one so they transport them when required. The hotel has security and is GF. When I brought one girl back she only stayed about 2 hours then left. They called my room to make sure it was ok. Good service.

I really liked their cafe on the 2nd floor. Good breakfast there every morning. Any guests of yours was free there. Girls liked it too.

Overall I would give them 9/10 for their hotel.

I'm looking for something in the $40 range. A bit more up market than Flamingos etc for my next visit. Tried Silver River Hotel on Street 174 last year. Guest friendly and quite good value at $28 pn.

Nice place and guest friendly too. Other than that there's Bluetongue next to Walkabout which is in about the same price range. Not sure if guestfriendly though, others might know.

Checked in to Blue Tongue Hotel today after hearing good things from a fellow Walkabout patron staying there.

First impression is that it's certainly a step up from Flamingos.

Same owner as Walkabout (Aussie Glenn) , and they are most definitely girl friendly.

Their website claims they have the "best shower in SE Asia", and I would have to agree!

I'm paying $2 more than what I paid in Flamingos, but the difference is unbelievable.

It's a proper western style & quality hotel with SE Asia prices.

And they upgraded me to the Superior Double room at no extra charge.

I will check out the other hotels recommended here, e. G. PC Hotel, Nana Hotel, Circuit Hotel and Bolina Palace Hotel, and compare them to Blue Tongue.

While we are discussing hotels, has anyone tried Hotel Circa 51? I thought I read somewhere that it's guest friendly.

Well on their website they say "Sex Tourism is not welcome at Circa 51 Hotel"
