The only ATM that does not charge that rip off fee, regardless of ATM type, is AEON but they are far and few and they are Japanese based.
You are right there are some ATMs, from the UK and Germany, that do not have the fee at the Yellow ATMS (sorry forgot name of bank).

let's get this straight - Ayuthaya Bank (the "YELLOW ATM BANK) DOES NOT CHARGE the fee. The PROBLEM is that they give a LOWER EXCHANGE RATE (about 1.5%) to make up for it. IF you withdraw 20k B, then it costs you LESS to pay the 150B FEE. IF you have the time, go to a bank (NOT AYUTHAYA) and make a point of sale withdrawal inside (same rate as with the ATM - BUT NO FEE)
of course, you would need to do this during normal banking hours...

Was in Far east rock yesterday afternoon, quality of girls average did notice a sign displayed saying Bar fine before 17:30 850 Baht, I decided to have a 200 bahter from Dre's bar on Soi Buckao I am a tight wad. After being here 2 days now I am pretty sure tourist numbers are down lots of bars struggling for 1 customer. Had a drink in the meeting point, some of the girls been there years same atmosphere and cheap drinks as usual. LK renaisance as good as usual breakfast is now available free upto 14:00hrs, maybe I am wrong but I am sure it used to be 12:00. My bar fine is in the shower at the moment so once she has finished take her for Pad Thai then pat her arse on her way.

i had to support the notion that thai girls in general(and i really mean that) cannot be trusted especially the working girls. here is a case and point.
spotted what i thought was a cute pregnant girl on beach road. approached her and she was friendly. i was only after the milk rather than banging a pregnant girl. she looked pregnant-no doubt about it-atleast that was what i thought. when i asked her was she pregnant she said no! i was taken aback at how quickly and resoundingly she said no. i asked her did she have milk and she said no! again. now unless this girl was hiding a chicken under her jacket she was pregnant. she even had really hearty tor**** tits-like women get when they are pregnant. nevertheless i offerred $500 with pics and she said no problem. when we got in the room she took off her bra and those tor****es sprang out of that bra! her areolas were dark like a women will get when she is pregnant and nursing. she still looked pregant to me-about three months. but despite all of this she refused to admit she was pregnant. i did not understand why she was lying. anyway i took some pics, did the deed and let her go.
i can only imagine she was lying because maybe men were turning her down because she was pregnant. i am not sure but i even think i have seen this girl in the photo forum before. does anyone remember her?

I can confirm that Ayuthaya Bank has changed from 0 to 15 B fee. I recall having read about different currency exchange rates a while ago so I gave it a test on 23 November. I however got feedback that the fee varies, some get charged and others don't. also worth noting that when I reurned to Pattya I was not able to withdraw money on the two Ayuthaya Bank ATMs I tried, so I had to use a reguler one which charges a 150B fee.

Here we go again with the never ending topic regarding the extra ATM fee levied on foreign cards in Thailand. Last time I was in Thailand in September the yellow Bank of Ayudhya ATM did not charge the fee. But someone on this or maybe another forum claimed they gave an inferior exchange rate, which sounded quite weird to me. The Thai bank surely does not charge me in my native currency NOK. That conversion I firmly believe is done at my bank with a 1.75% extra to the official currency exchange rate, wherever they get it from.
At the corner of Soi B and Soi Diana there is a Bank of Ayudhya ATM located next to a red Siam City Bank which charges the 150B fee. I wanted to check out if there was any difference in the currency rates so I took out 10 000B at the yellow one and a minute later the same at the red one. Siam bank charged as usual 150B, and Bank of Ayudhya ATM now charged 15 (fifteen) bath. That was new to me. Then when I checked my bank statement the 10015 B was 1740.84 NOK and the 10150B was 1764.30 NOK. This gives an exchange rate of 5.75299 and 5.75297. Pretty much the same rate I would say.
So my conclusion is the yellow Bank of Ayudhya ATM.

well, you might have shown us a picture of her belly so we could make our own judgment, but my own instincts tell me that you were dead wrong and she was not in fact, pregnant.

Interesting to note that things barely closed for the birthday holidays. On the day itself, Saturday, there were maybe 50% of bars truly closed, but the next two days everything was as normal.

Unusually high BF for a low key bar like that. Presumably the charge is higher after 17:30, can’t imagine they get many takers.

I'm assuming you are referring to the higher end go-go bars right?
Even the go go bars lady fees are negot. and I've never gave in to 3000b.LT and 2000 for ST is a bit riduculous because this could mean only 10min/or one shot for some guys-I think these prices are for newbie suckers or desperate men or the Japanese guys that are willing to pay anything the girls want.
I find some of the regular bars (non go go) sometimes have nicer /cuter girls than the go go's and at 1000b LT max.-anything over this is overpaying.
Just from my experiences of Pattaya over the last 5 years.

well Tim, I was there in August. BAY didn't charge a fee but gave about 32B/$ (US). On a 10,000B withdrawal it was roughly $306 - plus the roughly 1% additional fee from my US bank. They made me agree to the exact withdrawl $$ amount before the transaction.
The Bangkok Bank and Siam Bank charged me the 150B (I didn't have the opportunity to go in for the withdrawal - I needed cash for some purchases and had left the passport in the room) The exchange rate was $29.94 per 1000B - or for 10,000 $299.40+4.50=$303.90, so about 1% difference. By your numbers, BAY has apparently changed to the "international rate of exchange".
Since I have not had the time to make it back (yet! - both English and Thai translation of the word applicable) I cannot say whether or not there some better rate available from BAY (or not as the case may be - if it IS then for "fast money" I would go back to BAY). By the way - there was one down by the market area heading toward Central where Soi Buakhao swings to the right then to the left by the new hotel. Is that the one you were describing? It's a ways from Diana IIRC.
That's just my 2 baht experience, your experience may be different. Like I said, though, go INSIDE the bank and avoid the fee entirely. It's ONLY charged for the ATM withdrawal

I am doing quite well this visit, finding time to file a report sorry no pics worth posting. There must be a serious yeast infection going around Pattaya, 2 of my girls have had serious smelly cunts, I have never encountered this before on previous visits and before you say it I haven't had an operation on my nose.
These were regular bar girls 1 only aged 25 and no kids, as usual after 3-4 days I have got to the stage of saying to myself maybe this is my last visit to Pattaya but I have no doubt once I get back to farang world I will be planning my return. I just can't believe how quiet it is here, we are now in High season and many bars are closed or have no customers, I was in Wonderful 2 bar around 18:00hrs today and even that was quiet, I have also noticed many girls are prefering to have short time. I have not been down soi 7 & 8 in the evening this visit so I will have a look tonight, paid a visit to Happy dreams massage this afternoon 500baht for 4 hands ok but 1 hand is all that mattered.
