My first visit complete, in Seoul now. Spent entire time in Sukhumvit area.
1) no sirens at all. In Seattle & Bellevue one hears them constantly.
2) streets fairly clean, but nearly impossible to find trash bins, especially on BTS.
3) each time in an oily, I was only customer in waiting area, various times (7 or 8 shops), is business way off.

I didn't post from my 1 nighter in BKK.
Things I successfully checked off my list:
- walked through Thermae. Interesting place. I didn't like it, but maybe it was just a first impression. Did not negotiate with anybody, but the solid line of girls that completely surrounds the room must make for some awkward negotiations. I just has it see it though.
- walked around Nana Plaza and saw the FLs in front of the hotel sign across the road.
- Soi Cowboy of course. Craziest place seemed to be Crazy House around the corner. Turned and left because the place was packed packed with narry a spot for 1. Looked like a ton of fun there though.

Generally, the girls out front are just there to lure you inside. There are plenty of regular working girls inside pretty much every bar and, of course, inside go-go bars in Nana Plaza and on Soi Cowboy.
2. There are numerous short time hotels in Nana. The ladies will know one. They are cheap and safe.
3. At go-go bars the prices are generally 100-200 Baht for a lady drink, 500-1,000 Baht for bar fine, 2,000-3,000 Baht for short time, 3,000-6,000 Baht for long time. Everything is negotiable.

You can get a private room fairly cheaply like 800 Baht is possible in the right location however ST hotel is cheaper. You probably won't be able to afford bar girls so you should be considering Freelancers on the street to get a fuck for a really good price like 1000 to 1500 Baht.
The price of hostel plus ST hotel 350 baht could come to same as a very cheap private room.
consider also if one girl was no fun snd then you got another one on same day.
If you go to massage shop they have a room to use. However will still cost more than a freelancer on the street.
Try all options to see what works for you. Bargirls can be a lot of fun but they tend to have been spoiled by customers that are relatively big spenders. Plenty of guys in bars are not on a tight budget.

However, to answer shortly:
1. The girls are mostly prostitutes standing in front of the clubs. However, a few may not be willing to go with, though I have never experienced that.
2. The prices for full service in go go bars differ from short to long time and could be in the range of 2000 to 4000 baht for ST and 3000 and above for LT. But note that these are not standard rates and could vary at different clubs and with girls as well as your negotiation skills. If you had paid $ 150, that too, 8 years back, you have been thoroughly ripped off. That is not the price even now!
3. There are a number of places available for short time for as little as baht.

Don't see a lot of reports on this place, so I thought I'd contribute. I was only interested in getting a slave so can't speak to the mistress side of things.
Went in a couple of weeks ago at about 8 pm. It's located on Sukhumvit Soi 33 near Akane Massage. The dress code is plain black t-shirt (I think they will give you one to wear if you don't have one) and I think they don't allow shorts / flip flops. As it's a BDSM club, they want you dressed accordingly. You have to ring a buzzer to get in and they have a speakeasy type door where there is a small sliding opening at about eye level. They'll ask if you've been there before and then let you in if dressed properly. The place is DARK. I mean like, I had to watch the ground closely as I walked so as to not trip on anything. Keeping with the gothic feel I guess. There is a 900 baht entry fee which includes 1 drink. Your next drink is 300 baht, LD's are 280 baht.
I was taken to an alcove seating area which is meant to be semi-private. I was then given a mistress-slave show with 2 girls where they demo and then allow you to test drive what is allowable. You can lightly whip (not exactly a 'whip' per se but has multiple strands of heavy cloth on the end) the slave, paddle her, tie her with rope, and drip her with hot wax. I skipped the wax and was only interested in how hard you were allowed to hit. Not that I wanted to hit hard, but rather wanted to avoid hitting too hard.
