Rio de Janeiro Reports

Seen Lots of storma in Rio but none like this. The wind and rain are unprecedented. Best to stick to indoor activities.

As has been said, Good Friday saw everything closed. But I went by Balcony late that afternoon and some talent was already gathering. I guess after you go to church and confess, it is time to get back to the business of sinning. I didn't hang around as I thought it best to rest up for Saturday. After all, one day of abstinence in Rio is cause for a geat celebration when it ends.

So, Saturday found me in L'uomo surrounded by friends. The place was decorated with pink baloons on the ceiling and the girls were in bunny attire. Really charnimg. Only one problem: the fur.

A very nice touch was the fur around the top portion of the costume. While quite suggestive and alluring, someone forgot about the insullating properties of fur, albeit fake. Now, these girls are pretty hot to start with, literally, so they didn't need the extra insullation. So they were all grabbing menus and fanning for all they were worth while bumping and grinding to funk do Brasil. LOL. The upside, they were more anxious than usual to get out of those tops.

Hung around for two sessions. nearly R600 after buying too many drinks but well worth it. They continue to cycle in new talent. BUT, I ran into an old friend, Giselle. Man, have her tits grown. All natural too. She does not come in much any more so it was good to see her. If you are into tits, this is it.

Rain should stop just in time for the weekend. Amother excuse for a celebration.

I am scheduled to arrive in Rio on the 13th. Work is putting me up at the Intercontinental, but I am staying a few days more.

It appears that the Intercontinental is not that close to much, but I am still doing the research on distance and locations of some of the places to visit. Does anyone have a suggestion on a nice place to stay that isn't that expensive ie: hotel, or is an apartment for a couple days better?

Also somewhere that is close to the good action. This is my first trip to Rio and I would like to make it as memorable as possible.

I appreciate any assistance that experienced mongers can provide.

I am traveling to Rio on the 13th for business and I am being put up at the Intercontinental, which seems a long way from downtown. Does anyone recommend a nice hotel closer to the action or maybe even an apartment.

I was looking at a hotel near Copacabana beach, but they still want about 180 a night.

This is my first trip and I want to get in as much as possible. Any assistance or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of the Rio mongers in advance.

My heartfelt sympathy. To everyone caught up in this. The death toll is now reported at over 100. Worst rains in 48 years, the news services are telling us. And even for those whose life is not directly at risk - and I trust and hope the people in this board are safe - it must even be such a difficult time.

My thoughts especially to those of you who are in Niteroi, which I am told is particularly affected.

Let's look at it from the point of the Carioca GDP. Guys who take Copa freelancers during reasonable hours either have a lot of money or don't know where to find pussy at a lower rate. Otherwise they'd be mongering Centro balls dry during the day and wait until early morning to pull from Copa, if at all. For not much more money, you can go have a room in a termas and have some assurance of a quality fuck.

I agree, things are a little out of hand now with the Real and the garota's expectations. Mongers can thrive on the harvests from impoverished countrysides and urban slums...not on middle class princesses with a perverse streak and costly addiction to designer shoes and handbags. I'd suggest that dedicated sex-tourists of modest means consider Jakarta as an alternative to Rio. As for me, I am not a sex tourist in the pure sense and come to Rio primarily on business, so will be stuck paying the going rates there. However I will be happily stuck.. paying *centro* rates for the equivalent pussy and perhaps better service, not Copa rates! Can't wait to pound ground on Ave Rio Branco and similar again, and to pound the mattresses in the apts above!

All that said, in my personal interactions on ISG I have found that the board membership contains many high intelligent, creative, and sometimes entrepreneurial people who just happen to be hard core sex addicts. If all these minds were working together, a strategy could be devised to manipulate the GDP market prices back to our advantage??...Like opening up a new Help somewhere else and providing canned, plausible, and family-friendly excuses for several hundred girls of negotiable virtue from the countryside who would like to come to the city and make money the old fashioned way. The existing GDP's would have to lower prices. I am confident that they would do tricks at half the current prices, as I doubt they know of any other way to get money at all, other than stealing.

Last week in Jakarta, a WG offered me FS at 1/30th the market rate at ladybar closing time because she saw that it was either that, or go home with nothing, so she tried to undercut the rest and assure a transaction. Now that is a beautiful sight to behold when it comes down to that basic level and all the artificial inflation is taken out of the pricing. Amazingly, I didn't take her up..there was something unsavory about the desperation of it all and the look she had in her eyes. I think she didn't have cab fare to get home, and needed to session at equivalent $1 USD just to break even and get back to her place in the morning. Others have assured me that girls will sometimes show up with empty pockets and have to session to afford the ride home. I bet that Rio was once like this, back in the 1980's glory days that the vets talk about.

With due respect PP - I thought you were going to say something I would agree was eminently sensible and all those other things. But having only worked in the night club industry in my own country and that briefly (not quite the stomach for it) I am guessing that Brasil must be far more advanced. High intelligence is not required in my country of birth, other than street intelligence and the ability to to wield determinative physical force (eg in last resorts, kneecapping, arson, kidnapping someone's wife or trashing an opponent's home/work/hideaway). Useful characteristics are large amounts of money, cast-iron underworld connections, and high-priced bent lawyers that can always win. Knowing bent police is also quite good on a CV.

I guess such things aren't so important in Brasil - what progress eh . . .

Jakarta is pretty mental and I understand quite different when you know your way around (I don't - both times I went I thought someone was trying to kill me). An exciting city. If you know it well I'd probably enjoy a crash course some time. But the idea that a group of mongers could manipulate the Rio Market is unrealistic. Even with ISG on side, there are many more mongers who just do their own thing. The P4P garotas are organised and often well networked. It's not hard for them. We on the other hand, are not. If there's any manipulating, they will do it, not us. You can, as you sensibly point out, just choose the least manipulated option should you so desire. Just my opinion. (Dusts used condoms off VM palatial foam mattress, goes up and down a dozen RB elevators, then occasionally pays up in Copa cos when in Disneyland the rides ain't free ;))

I think these are the same tools that foreigners have been using since the ~1500's to manipulate Brasil, correct? No reason why a couple of the resourceful and connected people here with capital couldn't choose to follow suit. Maybe slightly far fetched but I know there are people here with local connections and understand "property rights" in Brasil, so I just want to point this out and plant the seed..so maybe somebody takes a chance and we can all plant our seed at lower prices. It's sensible...not easy, but sensible and plausible. I didn't say manipulate the whole market, just the freelance market where guys are having such hard time. Some guys like me don't really care what the freelance market is like..I like the point-and-fuck flat rate backroom scene which isn't negotiable anyway. Freelancers are just too much social interaction for me. I like to approach like the animal, throw down my money and start humping air and salivating like a salty dog before I ever see pink... haggling with my fuck-to-be just totally turns me off. In any negotiation, there is a winner and a loser by at least some small mutually *tolerable* margin. Tolerable is not a fun feeling.

Did you go before, or after you had been outside vanilla Western civilization to places like Brasil and Cambo and so forth? :) I am sure it is culture shock for someone visiting a place like that the first time, but not for someone at your current level of experience. You should try again. Sao Paulo mongering scared the shit out of me the first time I was there, so I know what you are saying.

I am just a rookie to JKT but had no problem based on information and tips gleaned from the board here. I think if someone has been to Sao Paulo, or Rio Centro and feels comfortable traveling alone and vulnerable in sometimes seedy places where foreigners are seldom seen, and you know there is no one to back you up, then JKT prime spots should be no problem. I trust the Indons far more than our Brasilian or Mexican friends.

True, I am thinking in terms of every Rio monger being a lurker or poster on this board when in reality it's probably what, 5%, of the total. Most guys probably stumble in thinking all the pussy is free. I know guys who think the beaches are lined up with girls who are poor and wanting to fuck everyman Joe Gringo and to hopefully marry them and love them forever in their home country..haha, for real. The Brasilian tourism ministry does a great job of doing nothing and letting people form their own wild visions of Brasil. :) Still, with the right publicity, even non-ISG guys would get a clue. Just like the prices leveled out to where they are now, they would level out again to something like half if you doubled the number of girls and tourism remained flat.

That is what I am talking about. Sperto's list and a good pair of walking shoes are all that's needed to avoid the problem. Although it's less of a stereotypical Brasil experience for sure, sitting in a small room full of Brasilian businessmen at 11:30 AM waiting for a girl to free up, or climbing up the stairs at BA85 trying to squeeze by the local low-end mongers in search of the one gem in the place that day. It's more the Indiana Jones kind of survival-mongering versus the Jay-Z kind of rap video gash bashing with a whole termas full of big booty like 4X4 shaking T&A or all of hooker beach laying on a yacht somewhere in the bay...And then you are absolutely correct, at least once it is necessary to hit Copa (termas) to get your pride back and be able to say you did Brasil classic style. You are correct about not having to pay higher rates in Copa. I've noticed that a lot of guys go to Rio without learning anything of the culture nor the language. Because of this they have to go where the pack goes, i.e. "Ho beach" or Copa. Even the guys who go to Rio and stay quite some time but don't learn the language, are paying higher prices than they should be for pu#@y. In fact what is best to do, is what the cariocas do. Speak the language have a couple of GF's and go and f%^k at termas(high end/low end)as the need arises.

Does Monica Santiago, Joyce(used to work at 4x4), Natasha work at any known termas or escort services?

You are right about the ideal situation, but I think the basic expectation is not that someone should learn a lot of the particulars about a place that they want to monger, and try to live as a local..rather they should just take the time to inform themselves on the spectrum of offerings and typical rates in the locale, so that they don't come in and pay too much and screw up the market for guys who make place X their primary hunting grounds. Anybody reading this thread has the ability and shouldn't come on here telling us how he paid some excessive price when the whole world of pricing info was available by clicking at the top right of this thread, keying in a few letters and clicking the 'go' button.

For example, I went to Jakarta on a whim and learning Indon language or culture wasn't practical; however, I did take the time to RTFF on ISG and make sure that I was not paying too much or asking too much of the local market and ruining it for the regular foreign visitors and expats. I think that is the basic expectation...read a year of back posts on ISG and apply the best practices you see there. For example, there were nights when I went back to the hotel alone because I was holding a hard line on ISG-stated market pricing in the lady bars. I could easily pay the top girls' firm prices, it is nothing in USD, like 20 bucks over market value, but I don't want to be 'that guy' and am willing to walk away from even the most stunning girl if she tries to rip me off on pricing. It sucks to see some other guy take her out the door 5 minutes later, but not too much because I have already done good deeds in the daytime at lower rates in fuckshacks and don't have the burning desperate need to take a nightcrawler. We have those kind for free back in the States, since it's illegal to sell buceta there and they would send a girl to the internet and newsprint stockade for trying to sell what her mama gave her to a bunch of foreigners in a bar somewhere. Even if they weren't sweaty, stinky, drunk, overweight, unable to speak the language, and ridden with STI's that they caught during a 5 girl session in budget hotel in BKK two nights prior to flying into town for 'fresh meat' because LOS simply didn't have enough to offer them. :)

I think that someone reading a year of backposts will know enough to not overpay in Copa..just like Carlos. He came to the scene and mongered this locale for whatever reason, maybe time or understandable hesitation to leave the tourist areas, but at least he knew that R300 was a rip off there and stood his ground, or rather walked right away on it. In America, where he is from, that would be a cheap price to pay for FS. So it was a good showing. The prices that the guys were paying in Help were ludicrous, especially from guys who had many posts to their name on here and should know the difference. Maybe it really is a good thing that Help closed down, cause maybe the convenience and atmosphere made paying higher prices seem worthwhile, maybe? I know the environment in a termas makes me willing to pay more than I would for the equivalent girl in the little cheap Centro apartments...but there is actually big brick and mortar, utilities, taxes, high priced bent-lawyers, bribes, bribes, and more bribes (nod to Christopherd) and other overhead at the termas to justify some level of higher pricing, while Help girls had no overhead except the cover charge to get back in and score another stick if I remember correctly.

I would never say that you were foolish to pay $250,000 for your Bentley when you could have bought a Chrysler for $35,000. I don’t question why you pay $50 for a meal at Mondego when you could have purchased a Happy Meal ® at McDonalds for $5. I cannot understand why some people are so harsh with others who pay more than ‘average’. There are too may variables in this hobby to have set prices.

I read a post on ISG maybe 15 to 20 years ago, when this was a static site (pre v-bulletin and I think labeled as WSG). The post was by someone who STRONGLY ridiculed Americans (in particular) and Italians who frequented Brasil and paid 3 or 4 times the price he paid for GDP’s. He said Americans and Italians were ‘stupid.’ It was one of the most strongly worded posts regarding payment that I have ever read on ISG and of course it provoked a heated discussion. I took strong objection to being labeled as ‘stupid.’ I know I pay more than average, but I have particular tastes in what I want and I am willing to pay for it, just as I do with my cars and food.

I have a suggestion that could conceivably (but not realistically) eliminate the constant bickering about the number of Reals we donate to the GDP’s. I know this will never happen and I’m sure my suggestion would be about as well received as a fart in church, but I’ll make this suggestion just to provoke a different line of thought on the subject of payment.

My suggestion is to list what we pay our GDP’s as a percentage of our weekly salary, rather than in how many Reals we paid for services rendered. If everyone pays the same percentage of earnings, then no person is any more ‘stupid’ than the other. It’s a tongue in cheek suggestion, but hopefully you get my point.

We all have different tastes and desires in our providers. If you can lay one of these stunners [url]http://www.desejosecretos.soelas.com.br/[/url] [url]http://www.prazertotal.belasvip.com/home.htm[/url] [url]http://www.garotaacompanhante.com/home.htm[/url] for the same price you pay a GDP from Villa Mimosa, then I will bow before you. But my preference is to bed sweet stunners, and I am more than willing to pay more than ‘average’ to do so. Unless I pay a much higher percentage of my earnings than you do for their company, I should not be ridiculed for it. I would be willing to bet that if you could learn how much the previous 100 posters paid for their cars you would find vastly different amounts. Same thing for how much our bill was from our last meal at a restaurant. Why not allow each other the same latitude with our GDP’s?

The links are to providers in SP where I think the selection of beautiful GDP’s is superior, but I list them to make a point. You can also find stunners like this in Rio, although not nearly in the same quantity. I love Rio for its scenic beauty and it is my preferred destination in Brasil, but I love the stunners from SP. My point is, the higher the quality, the higher the price. What’s in your wallet?

Went over to VM with Cho a couple of times two weeks ago. The first day I hit Camila, a girl who looked like Kimora Lee. Excellent service, but I thought I got ripped off (not complaining though). I gave the mamasan R50 and she only gave me R12 back. I asked her where was the rest of my change. She said it was R38. I asked her since when? She said that was how much the girl charges. Oh well. We walked to the train station and took the Metro back to Copa. The walk didn't look too dangerous to me. Then the ride/map was a bit tricky because you have to transfer when you get to Estacio (the next station south of Sao Cristovao). If you do not exit the train it will take you back north to Sao Cristovao, as happened to us at first.

The next night we met up with some friends in Niteroi and hit the spots there. Most places were empty. We ended up settling at what we were told was the best one. It was R10 to get in and that included 2 drinks. It was half of a notch above 22 Siqueira Campos but much cheaper.* The cabine looked exactly like the ones in 4X4, complete with the spring-less mattress. I hit a girl for R40 then took a nice cool shower. She said she had only been at that termas for 2 weeks. She used to work Balcony but said some gringos were too crazy so she prefers the controlled environment of a termas. Beautiful girl. Excellent service.

When we left that termas my friends dropped us off in VM. There, I hit a cute 23 year old baby-face loira with a big ass. Her body was smoking. Once again great service. R26. She said that she works at a termas close to VM (can't remember the name) but it is closed on the weekends. And since she still needs money to support her kids she comes to work in VM on the weekends.

*One friend told me that him and another one of our wingmen went to 22 Siqueira a while back. His Portuguese has gotten so good that the manager thought he was Brazilian so he told him that for him a girl is only R40, but for his friend it would be R90.

What a lot of people are saying is that when mongers start giving a gdp x+y reais who has historically received x reais it will screw it up for mongers thereafter because the gdp will from then on demand x+y reais.

GDPs are not able to discern that I work at the sandwich shop and have been saving up 10 years for this dream vacation on a shoestring budget in Rio from you owning your own widget business and being able to afford going to Rio 4 times each year. What they see instead is that I was able to withdraw x+y from Walking ATM #1, so Walking ATM #2 MUST spit out the same amount. People who may not have as much or choose not to spend as much money as you are just asking that you not haphazardly raise the stakes so that they can continue to play in the game as well.

Since I am from the US I tend to think primarily in dollars. I like to think to myself how much am I giving her in dollars/hour. To feel comfortable with myself I am definitely not going to pay a third-world gdp more per hour than I am making myself.
