I agree with Menteng and MiamiHeatLover. As with all places.
Watch your back! It's not like they are targeting tourists in Mayorista, but shit does happen!
They let you hang out there without getting a room? I thought that wasn't allowed.
Dude,
I was hanging with Aussie Greg, Robert and Boyd before the Mansion was even a thought.
Way back before the gringo invasion and the Mansion, maps of el Central, etc, etc.
Robert was running a "marriage agency" from a hotel lobby, and him and I would explore el Central together before any of these casas had ever seen a gringo.
Boyd was just another adventurous guy visiting and hoping to escape the pussy prison.
Aussie Greg was new to the scene, and hanging out with us. I remember him once buying me a chica for translating for him, at the old San Diego, back when it was more like a wild west saloon and the chicas were sweet.
I pop over to the Mansion to say hey to these guys and hang out a bit. They always let me in :)
I normally stay at the Castillo anyway and sometimes at Robert's apartment.
PS. Did I mention I was the FIRST official guest at the Mansion when it first opened. I remember I had the place to myself for a week. No other guests, no maids, nadie.
Can't imagine that happening again :)
Taker easy amigo.
I would NOT categorize Mayorista as completely safe of even "safe" for that matter, pick pocketers, bar fights, ladrones.
... Used to be many more "diamonds in the rough" than now though in my opinion.
I agree amigo. There used to be a far greater number of 'diamonds' hanging out there.
Seems to run in cycles, hopefully it'll improve.
Justemp,
Yo Frank. Why describe someone's looks on the board? You just broke a big unwritten rule of the board; never do anything to out another monger's identity.
Bad move.
I value your reports. Have been for a few years. However I have to *politely disagree with you on this one. The zona in Tijuana is a totally different animal. You might need the same smarts but the danger and annoyances in Tijuana are very different.
*I would relate the centro SW areas to have similar dangers as to those in Tijuana.
*IMHO mongering in mayorista is safer (Don't quote me) than SW mongering in the centro. Why? There are more cops and the smaller radius makes it easier to police.
However there are dangers in mayorista like anywhere. One guy I met on mayorista was showing off his new tazer and asked me and another person if we wanted to hop in a cab and go clubbing. He spoke perfect english and lived in america for a while. People who have lived in america then go back to SA worry me. Tijuana is full of people like these. That is what makes Tijuana so dangerous amongst other things.
Mayorista is an industrial area with a little red light section of 4 blocks. If you walk 2/3 blocks in either direction you are nowhere. There are a few little bodegas where you can buy your beer and peanuts and a meal if you feel brave. Thats it. I stand there for an hour and I'm already bored.
My old friend we can always agree, and agree to disagree... Its what makes us unique and offer concrete opinions to our brethren.
Cheers as always!
By the way I claim to make girls cum at least 2 in most case and seldom run into girls who cum 5-10 times.
You're slackin' man!
EVERY chica I"m with cums at least 5-10 times. Minimum.
Just kidding amigo, but I have to admit; from your Clint Eastwood, "go ahead make my day" gun battles in Cali, to your knife fights at the Mayorista, and your orgasmic sexual abilities with the working chicas, I certainly do admire you.
Best of luck.
O did I forgot to mention that frank's apt lock doesn't work well? Sometimes you can open it at first try but sometimes it may take 5-10 min to get it open. One time I had to go bathroom really bad but the dam lock wouldn't open. I almost shit in my pants until other guest heard the noises for long time and decided to open the door for me. Few other occasion where I tried to bring chick into my room and we were stuck outside few minutes to get the door open.
This did not only happen to only me as another guest who came later into frank's apartment had trouble opening the door himself.
Frank, did you get that lock fixed yet?
I remember that you telling me there is problem with lock.
Everyone who stayed at his property will agree with me that lock is annoying as hell.
Again worst part about frank is his business ethic.
He will not consider his guest's identity being kept confidential
Be aware
And sharing bathroom between three guests and 3 chicas! Wow.
What a place to stay
For the same price or less, you can get your own hotel room with private bathroom right at Mayorista. More privacy!
so it happens to one mongerer and all of a sudden la mayorista is not safe anymore. let's see, how many times did that happen to how many guys? so are we speaking of 1 % or maybe less? c'mon guys, look around and compare that to other places. justemps report is ok as a reminder that shit happens, but that doesn't mean that shit happens all the time, 24/7. the exeption proves the rule!
i'm asian and i go to mayorista alone as often as i can find an excuse to. never had a problem.
yes shit happens everywhere and to everyone. traveling in colombia, everyone must know and expect it. traveling colombia itself isn't necessary child's play. it is for more seasoned mongers.
joey smith is new to this forum with only 5 post. it is his 1st trip to colombia. he had questions on safety issue on mayorista. that is the only reason why i mentioned this story about crazy chic with knife.
not everyone posts on this forum or even know that this forum exist. just because it is not mentioned here doesn't mean it only happened to me. that is only your wild assumption that it happens less than 1% because you have no solid data to back up your theory. for many other reason, people may not talk about getting their money stolen from a chic with a knife. maybe shame, fear, laziness. i didn't post about this girl for about 2 month because i was lazy. but i felt joey smith should know since he questioned about safety issue at mayorista. yes mayorista is safer than centro street walkers. but no it isn't safer than casa/mp girls, strip club girls, and reputable call girls.
here is the fact.
i visited near 20 countries for monger.
over 200 girls in total
not a single girl pulled a knife or had one but here at mayorista.
that is the fact.
i also had gun pulled on me while in cali, colombia
that is also the fact. no assumption or opinion of any kind.
i only provide fact as i encounter it.
it is your decision to take the risk(chance even if it is less than 1%)
yes there is risk everywhere in colombia and not just mayorista.
there is risk everywhere when you are traveling at foreign or home country.
my experience is i had knife and a gun pulled on me at colombia.
would this stop me from going back to colombia?
no. as i see that benefits for me far exceed the negs.
but as far as mayorista, talents of diamonds. numbers decreased as we all know.
i ran into many drunk, high-on drug girls on mayorista. never at casa/mp, mansion, or other call girls with reviews and reputation.
i questioned many girls in mayorista to see if they carried their cedula to take them back to mansion.
here is the fact. don't flame me without fact. i asked about 10 girls and only 1 told me that she had cedula with her. most of them don't have it with them.
even if they have it, they usually leave it at home when they come to work in mayorista. keep that in mind as you might find yourself in bed with **** girls and big trouble.
always check for cedula.
Hi guy,
Well, hells bell, when I was living in Youngstown, Ohio, 20 years ago my girlfriend, and live in partner, was pissed because I wanted to break up with her. She tore all the condoms, started an argument and pulled out a knife on me. I made a hole on the wall striking her hand against it to force her to drop the knife.
Shit happens, get over it. This doesn't happen every day in la Mayorista. As a matter of fact I never heard of it happenning ever in La Mayorista. And it has never happenned to me after having phucked just about every half descent looking girl there in the last 3 years. It has also never happenned to any of my guests or the gazillion gringos from the Medellin Mansion and other places that come to pick-up girls there. So you had a bad day, get over it, but don't go making it sound like this happens regularly in La Mayorista, because it doesn't. What happenned to you can happenned to anybody anywhere in the World.
I don't mean to be rude, but I suggest you stop dying your hair blonde or red when you visit Colombia, because you really do stick out! That's my two bits of advice to you!
Frank Casio!
Frank,
You could have used my story to promote you business instead of creating enemies. I guess you are not such a good businessmen after all.
Don't ask me how. Because I won't tell you. After crap you said to me there is no reason for me to help your business. LOL
Here is my two cents worth of advice. If you don't want to go bankrupt, don't make enemies. Only friends. No matter how much pissed off you are for any reason, do not make false accusation without any proof!
Again, when I had gun and knife pulled on me, I was with my natural black hair color. A proof that your two bits of advice is WORTHLESS!
Because nothing bad ever happened to me traveling 20 different countries visiting 200+ girls while I had my hair blonde. Bleached not dyed. Have facts straight.
And you said "I don't mean to be rude" but you were very off topic and very extremely rude!
If you have a little extra time on your trip to Medellin and want to take a break from chasing. Let me take you on a get away for a day or two, whichever you like?
Yes shit happens everywhere and to everyone. Traveling in Colombia, everyone must know and expect it. Traveling Colombia itself isn't necessary child's play. It is for more seasoned mongers.
Just because it is not mentioned here doesn't mean it only happened to me.
A French guy told his story of being stabbed twice in the chest in Bogotá last year, without warning by some guy who wanted an old photo camera he was carrying.
He had to be medically evacuated to France (PM me if you want the link to the report in French).
Colombia is a country for experienced travelers.
I stayed on three occasions at Frank Casios place:
1). The place was always clean.
2). There was never anything in need of repair.
3). Frank introduced myself and others to many girls, most being his personal friends.
4). Frank drove me and others around, without ever asking for any type of payment.
5). Frank without any form of payment, took the time to take a group of us out to the casas, bars, and show us the lay of the land, despite on one occasion having a case of the flu.
6). I know of many repeat customers of Franks, Vics Picks for one, who would never return if the place was dirty, smelly, or needed repairs, as there are many other opportunities for economical housing available. That in itself says Justemp is full of shit, and only trying to retaliate for the comments of Frank Casio.
Justemp is only posting his negative review because Frank called him out on something that he believed needed to be pointed out in the far fetched posts by the "Macho Asian" Justemp. Never previously have we read a negative post about Justemps experience with the accomodations that Frank provided, despite the fact he seems to be very detailed oriented in his posts.
I would also like to point out that I have had no contact with Mr. Casio other than when I have stayed at his place. I found him to be very well liked, very helpful and respectful. He was also very generous of his time, and provided clean accomodations for a economical price. I have also referred friends to Frank, and all have been very well satisfied with Frank and there accomodations.
Boyd is a good amigo.
It amazed me when he told me in the years he has been at the mansion/castillo, that I was one of only about four guys that have paid for him a chica when he take them on a casa run. He even said that some of the guys expected HIM to pay for the taxi!
I'm not telling anyone how to spend their monies, but at least pick up the taxi fare for Mr. Boyd.
Peace
I have to second that. Boyd is the man will show you the entire town and lookout for you big time. Fellas we tip the girls. Why not buy the dude that took you to all the girls a piece of ass. After all it is only $20 USD!
neither do you to conclude that mayorista is not safe, based on your experience. i remember reading an fr about someone who's money was stolen in one of the casas. does this make all the casas a rovers den? i don't think so, but it is a good thing to not forget that it can happen. like what happened to you.
for many other reason, people may not talk about getting their money stolen from a chic with a knife. maybe shame, fear, laziness. i didn't post about this girl for about 2 month because i was lazy. but i felt joey smith should know since he questioned about safety issue at mayorista. yes mayorista is safer than centro street walkers. but no it isn't safer than casa/mp girls, strip club girls, and reputable call girls.

i don't want to brag, but i have visited way more countries than you and the only time i felt threatened was in soy cowboy in bangkok. does that mean that it is not safe there? hell, no, but one has to be alert. there and in all other places.
let me tell you something about the cedulas of the wg's. many are reluctant to show it, because their real name is printed on it. as you may know, the girls almost always use a fake name by which they want to be known to the john's. so if they "can't" or don't want to show it, that might be the reason. but, you're right. be cautious when they look very young.
btw, do you think i was flaming, only because i did not agree with your opinion about mayorista being a place that is not safe? you're sure touchy!
