If a country has any sense they will realize how unreasonable and ineffective it is to ban travelers base on their nationalities.
I don't know what effect to ratcheting up of the quarantine has had on the short time rooms and motels in El Centro. I know that Motel Ibiza and many of the other, more expensive motels are currently closed.
There are some Motels in San Antonio de Prado, which is located south of Itagui off the Autopista. At least one of them was open as of last Thursday and the rooms look pretty good, big jacuzzi, clean. Rooms were available by the hour, versus for 6 hours like Motel Ibiza and several others, so price should be pretty good.

While most people are scared of flying, I have taken advantage of cut rate prices and empty resorts in Mexico. Officially, you are supposed to travel to Mexico for essential purposes. In reality, no one asks you anything. I have been cementing relationships with the 10's I have met in Mexico City, and the traffic here is blissfully way down.
By getting myself a job with great time flexibility, I have been able to travel to Mexico often. I took a Mexican beauty to a resort where I paid half price and spent 3 days with her. The total I paid her was $600 for all three days.
I was at her place yesterday. The most upscale neighborhood in Mexico City is Polanco, and she lives there because it is safe. Quite frankly, it was refreshing to see this beauty be so happy with so little possessions and a tiny place. Thing is she is paying only $450 a month for her place. I have been having $100 mil 3 some every day for the 2 -3 weeks. Trust me, the Medellin that you may have known before March 15,2020 is not the same Medellin that it is today. People are starving, businesses are suffering and Bogota has stated that it's healthcare. I cannot tell you the benefit of having a list of girls that you want to bang. Everyone knows that my girls of choice usually come from Centro, Parque Botero or Parque Berrios.
Maybe there are BM's who are not ready to admit it, but the Colombian economy is going down the drain and going down the drain rapidly. I have given up hope of leaving Colombia in September, so I began to look for an apartment for the long haul. Many agencies told me that I could not rent an apartment without a cedula extranjero, so I had kind of given up hope and decided that I would stay where I was for the remainder of the time in Colombia.

Well we found an apartment, a brand new apartment in Buenos Aires with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room and sitting room for an incredible price. After looking over the paperwork once we viewed the apartment, the deal was a no brainer. So now I am prepared to be here in Medellin at least until August of 2021. (Apartment is unfurnished, but with the price of furniture and other items, each month I will buy a set of furniture piece by piece). My apartment came with utilities, cable and WiFi included for the year, that was one of my demands.
Girls are calling everyday trying to get me to have a date with them and no one has asked for more than $50 mil. I can tell you from the reports and things that I have seen with my own eyes, this Pandemic is not going to let up. I have gone from paying $150 mil per date down to nearly $40 mil per date.

If you're on a budget, I'd do 2 things. First try to find ways to cut current spending and put more aside for your trip. Then I would push the trip back to a point where your budget will be less strained. You can also play around with your travel dates. Sometimes it's cheaper to stay a day longer, or to fly the next day.
There are plenty of ways to cut your costs while in Medellin. Some of them depend on your comfort zone and mongering style. Some, almost anyone can use.
1. Don't stay in Poblado. You can find suitable places for much less. Laureles is popular. You can also find places in Envigado and Sabaneta that will save you money. If you're comfortable in a very urban setting, you can save a lot by staying in El Centro. It's not for everyone, but there are some nice places for 300 k per week.
2. Use public transportation. If you're hitting the casas in El Centro, you can save 20 k per day or more by using the Metro or the buses. Sometimes, especially at night, a taxi or Uber is necessary, but for daytime excursions I almost always use buses or Metro.
3. Menu del DIA. You can go to a nice restaurant and spend 20-50 k on a meal, or you can go to a basic Colombian restaurant and order the menu of the day. Cost is from 8-15 k, depending on where you're at. Meal usually includes your choice of meat, soup or beans, a small salad with avocado, rice, potatoes and or yuca, a fried plantain and drink. You can find breakfast for 5-12 k at similar restaurants. If you're not comfortable walking around the neighborhoods looking for restaurants, try a mall. The food courts have lots of options. Mitos is very good. Macondos is pretty good and a bit cheaper.
4. Visit some casas. About 50 k gets you 30 minutes. If you do a casa during the day, it'll free up some money for having a girl come over at night.
5. If you're renting a full apartment with kitchen, buy some basic groceries to eat at least once a day in the apartment. Fruits, vegetables, milk, rice, eggs and chicken are all inexpensive.
