It's my first time in Dubai, I am planning to stay at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. Can anyone tell me if this is a good place to stay? Is it GF?
1) Should I try the bar here (Cu*ba)?
2) Should I go to bars in the downtown and bring back to the hotel?
3) Should I order from the internet?
4) Should I try a different hotel?
5) If so, which hotel is best?
6) If I need to go to bars, which ones?
And finally (I think) , Can I bring a wg to my room?
I know this is short notice, but any help would be appreciated-

No, the noise from Mariner's Club should not disturb you. In fact, I stayed twice and had no problem. Rooms were decent. At one occasion, the receptionist called me down to pick up my girl. Just now checked on.

You cannot take two girls at the same time, but you can have several girls during the day, I had two girls per day, once three in one day.
Mariner's Club is not disturbing since it is in other building, Arabic club may disturb you but did not disturb me at least.
Rooms are fine and clean although not so big.
Internet works only in hotel lobby, in my room network was not strong enough
I walked to the reception of the former Dar Es Salaam hotel, whatever it name is nowadays, I forget.
Receptionist told me that no visitors, not in daytime, not in night time.
So my favourite hotel is now red, sad sad
One year ago, I stayed long time in Jormand Suites, so last week I walked there and asked what is their policy nowadays.
They told me that about one year ago they changed policy, no more visitors anymore, there were too many problems.
All my regular hotels turning red
I walked to the Richmond hotel and asked receptionist about their girl policy.
He told me girls are allowed, and recommended book room for two.
So something green still in Dubai. I have never booked Richmod before, but year ago I went to see the rooms.
Rooms were old, but then again Richmond is cheapest hotel in Bur Dubai area, walking distance to Bur Dubai bars, although little long

(I personally can't see the need for obscuring place names, but what the hell, I'll go with the flow).

I have just been chatting to some girls I know in Kubu.
They say that the hotel changed its policy few weeks ago.
You can take a girl only if you actually pay for a seperate room.
I find the convenience of a few bars / club on the premises suites my adhoc Dubai visits. Besides, I am concierge level on their loyalty scheme, which means I get upgrades and often very good rates.
So now it's a different hotel, and probably more use of my phone contacts.
So lets hope this does not last too long. (. Maybe its for the Season.)

However, if you really want a great time and only have a short time in Dubai, you MUST go to Club Saudi Saudi! Best club in town.
Over the past month or two, I've been in and out of Dubia and have been very lucky with hotels. I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza (SZR) , Crowne Plaza (Festival City) and Emirates Towers. At all three I was able to walk in with no challenge. But this was around 10pm each time, so I guess this is a safe time as they cannot tell if you're going in the lift to go to one of the bars or restaraunts.
I would be interested in any options or suggestions in Bur Dubai. A bit closer to the action. Let me know.

I will be staying at this new hotel in a few weeks and was wondering if this is green. I have stayed at the JW Marriott a few years ago and I had no problems. I will report after stay as I expect an active four nights.

Rush[/QUOTE]I know you wouldn't like this answer but I advise you to call hotel front desk and confirm their policy regarding bringing girls to room. You might say what is the use of this forum. There are two.
1. It tells you which hotels are red so that you don't waste your time on them.
2. It gives you a list of hotels that are reported to be green. But still there is always a risk of this turning red as hotels frequently change their policy. To give you an example Regal Plaza used to be green until a few months back. I had stayed there when it used to be green and I reported that in this forum. A member booked a room in Regal one week after my report and to his surprise the hotel had turned red and he found out about that after he checked in.
So use this section to get a list of "possibly green" hotels and then call the hotel where you want to stay and check their policy before you book your hotel.
