Pattaya Reports

Warning for NicFrenchy and others who may not like like it, I will keep on using the initial letter of my friends names.

It is 01:30 in the morning Friday 4th December and I’m back at the airport. I was considering spending my last two days in BKK, especially since it’s so late. But Pattaya is still my choice for sinful activities. One of the other passengers is on his mobile phone and among the French words I can hear Pattaya. While waiting for my luggage I ask him if he is heading to Pattaya which is confirmed and we decide to share a taxi. We get a taxi at the arrival level who has just dropped off his passengers, for 1000B including toll and off we go. I’m a bit skeptical of deals including the highway tolls after a taxi taking me from Pattaya to BKK wasted half an hour of my life to save 40B. Also this time we end up on unfamiliar roads. And yes he saves himself 30B by avoiding the second toll station. But it’s hardly any traffic so it still only takes 90 minutes. I was trying to guide him in to Soi B, but suddenly we are at Beach Rd so I change my plans and get off at Honey Lodge. I haven’t stayed there for a while since there us no Internet in the room, but with the Waawee coffee shop opened next door who offer WIFI access for 50B for 2 hours and makes good cappuccino, HL is more attractive to me. The location is just superb on Pattaya Tai where it meets Beach Rd and Walking St and they always have rooms available for 600B. The rooms are a bit old but sufficient for a short stay.

I drop my bag and take a shower and hit Walking St where there are still quite some people. However I notice a fairly large amount of Ladyboys. First I try Lucifer’s and then I take look at Marines. On my way to Insomnia I change my mind and have a beer et a beer bar complex still open, but don’t see anyone who would qualify to spend the rest of the night with me. I couldn’t find JP Bar which is supposed to be the place to go when everything else is closed; probably it’s still too early. So I’m back in Marines where I find the overview and lighting better than at Lucifer’s. I spot some girls dancing by themselves obviously marketing their availability. One of then is quite pompoi, or to be honest fat. But she dances and moves very well and I have a fantasy about doing a fat one. So I ask her if she boom-boom as good as she dances and we are game. We dance a little bit and down our beers and we are back in the room by 4AM.

Damn it turns out that the doctor found some streptococcus in my throat this time as well as when last time I returned from Thailand. So now I’m on a 10 day cure. The trip started badly and then didn’t finish too well either. But what was in between was excellent.

Was clear to me the first time I read your reports Tim, thanks for taking the time to post them. Your reference to Winner Inn bough back memories to me as it was one of the first guesthouse/hotels I saw in Pattaya.

It was my first time with any bank in Thailand and had no way of knowing prices. So either overcharged me or they have raised their price.

I opened a new account at K Bank Friday

Cost for an ATM debit card was 300bt. (100bt for the card and 200bt for 1 years service -renewable annually)

Just realised they did not give me a receipt.

They charged you for credit card insurance. They tried to run that on me when I opened my 2nd K bank account up country.

Agreed, but it gets worse, during this last week in Pattaya I have seen so many (shirtless) Russian blokes I thought I was in Moscow, except for the temperature and the prices of course !!

I thought most bars had a Dress Code, however it seems to be more of a Baht Code I suppose - as long as they spend they can wear or not wear what they like.

Bare male bellies in the street are bad enough, but in bars and restaurants, no thanks.

Still I will continue to enjoy Pattaya - so long as the ladies dress correctly :)

Back in the UK with treasured memories of my latest visit, found the best day time massage to be on soi 13/2 "Happy Dreams" the girls here are by far the pretiest on this soi and much better than where I went the first few days soi honey. Prices are the same 1 hour oily for 300 and 500 for the HJ, be careful they will try for 1000 by offering to take their top off while they polish your shaft. I can recommend Jont and Lyn, Lyn actually did a little first knuckle rimming which was what I was looking for. One other observation, head from Apex on 2nd road towards soi 8 you will come to a cluster of bars on the same side of the road as Apex, there are probably 20+ bars all together. Spent a few hours 1 night here and basically there was probably 100 girls for about 3 farangs the whole time I was there so must be a good hunting ground.
