I went several times a week just as a place to drink for free and smoke a cigar in peace in a nice surrounding while looking a real "eye candy." I figured it cost me, on average, $75 a month (THB 2,500) which was nothing. Plus I could take friends there and basically we could drink for free. I thought it was the best deal going. At the time it was 2,000 for a regular girl and 4,000 for a model, I don't know the current price structure. However, the regular girls were better than the average found in Soi cowboy or Nana.

Well, of course I have no first-hand knowledge, but this is what I picked up, hence the questions to clarify. Don't know what PR stands for, but it's the lowest level, the models run into 5000-6000thb range

Memberships:1 year: 30000 Baht (9 free whiskey bottles + free entry & discounts)

Entrance with 2 drinks: free for member
Lady sit and give you company: 450 Baht for members

PR girls: 1200 Baht for members (don't know what PR is)
Short Time charge: 1500 Baht
Whole Night charge: 3000 Baht

"You can opt for paying the lady charge, 1200 Baht for a PR girl. This will enable her to drink from your own bottle so you don’t pay any extra drinks and also you don’t have to pay the 45 minutes rate. This price is for the whole time she is sitting with you and will save you surely some money."

I think this is the equivalent of the bar-fine.

"If you pay this you can also take her out to wherever you wish, you have to also pay the short time or whole night charge, depending on what you want."

If these figures are correct, then they are not any more expensive than the girls at the Sports Bars around town. That's why I want some validation.

PR actually stands for Public Relations girls. It's the lowest level.

However, if I remember correctly, and I often don't as a member there was no barfine and no charge for time spent with the girl in the club. Your membership should include X number of bottles and Y number of bar fines.

If you live in Bangkok full time it's definitely worth the membership.

Here's an excerpt from the long explanation on pricing at Pegasus given on a Bangkok Website. I believe it is the one Mick is citing. Bottom line for non-members, according to the poster, was, "Drinks, lady charge and short time / long time fee will add up easily to at least 10000 Baht, probably more in the region of 12000-15000." (I'm not sure about the rules in linking to that site, but if you do a Google search for "Pegasus Bangkok," it will be the first link to come up. Starts with ww w. private...)

But that post is old. Now there are only two categories of girls at Pegasus, sideliner and model. But not all the ladies are available for barfine. Some will only sit with you. Nothing else is guaranteed for the "companion" girls. That's the way it is at most high-class gentlemen's clubs. You may be able to arrange to meet the girl after she gets off work. You pays yo' money for drinks and the girl's time and you takes yo' chances.

At Pegasus, there is an explicit fee for takeaway that guarantees some of the girls will hop into bed with you. It has to be paid upfront before you leave the club. On top of that, the girl expects a tip for services rendered.

My personal experience of Pegasus is limited, as I was only there once as the guest of Taiwanese associates who paid for everything. That was a few years ago, when there were three categories of girls. I really couldn't see what the fuss was about. The girls to me looked very much the same as the girls you see on Soi 33 or even Nana Plaza. There were some stunners, but you see the occasional stunner just about everywhere. If anything, the attraction seemed to be that they had light complexions, or at least were made up that way.

This will enable her to drink from your own bottle so yopu don’t pay any extra drinks and also you don’t have to pay the 45 minutes rate. This price is for the whole time she is sitting with you and will save you surely some money. If you pay this you can also take her out to wherever you wish. Now if you want to take her home you have to also pay the short time or whole night charge, depending on what you want. Drinks, lady charge and short time / long time fee will add up easily to at least 10000 Baht, probably more in the region of 12000-15000. A proud price but like I said, you gotta try for yourself to see if its worth it or not as reports are too different to really say how it is.

It's complicated. There is a fee you pay for the girl to sit with you. If you are a member, she can drink out of your bottle. If you're not a member, you have to buy her drinks. If you want her to provide sexual services, then you pay an additional fee that is a combination barfine and service fee. So as a non-member, to sit with a sideliner would be 1,800B entry + 2,200B "time fee" = 4,000B, plus whatever drinks you buy and then 2,000B S/T or 4,000B L/T. If you're a member, you don't pay the entrance fee, but you still pay for the girl's time, although less than a non-member. So it would be 1,700B for the time fee, then 2,000B S/T or 4,000B L/T. Plus even if you have a bottle behind the bar, you still pay for mixers and ice and that ain't cheap. Even if you are a member, figure on a minimum of 7,000-8,000B to take the girl home and then she's going to expect a tip on top of that.
