Over the past month or two, I've been in and out of Dubia and have been very lucky with hotels. I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza (SZR) , Crowne Plaza (Festival City) and Emirates Towers. At all three I was able to walk in with no challenge. But this was around 10pm each time, so I guess this is a safe time as they cannot tell if you're going in the lift to go to one of the bars or restaraunts.
I would be interested in any options or suggestions in Bur Dubai. A bit closer to the action. Let me know.
Cheers,
SW
I stayed in Citymax and it was green as of 01-Dec-2012. It's on Al Mankhool Road. The rooms are just about good and obviously not as good as Crowne Plaza. But they are cheap. I booked at 7pm for the same day on booking. Com and I got a price of 330 AED all inclusive.

Can anyone confirm if this Hotel is still green?

JW Marriott Marquis
I know you wouldn't like this answer but I advise you to call hotel front desk and confirm their policy regarding bringing girls to room. You might say what is the use of this forum. There are two.
1. It tells you which hotels are red so that you don't waste your time on them.
2. It gives you a list of hotels that are reported to be green. But still there is always a risk of this turning red as hotels frequently change their policy. To give you an example Regal Plaza used to be green until a few months back. I had stayed there when it used to be green and I reported that in this forum. A member booked a room in Regal one week after my report and to his surprise the hotel had turned red and he found out about that after he checked in.
So use this section to get a list of "possibly green" hotels and then call the hotel where you want to stay and check their policy before you book your hotel.
Thanks for the reply. I understand the purpose of this thread, but since this hotel wasn't even open when I made my reservation, I wouldn't have expected a post on this particular property. I have never had a problem with a Marrott, anywhere in the world including Dubai. Even if web-based escort (haven't had much luck other than in Hong Kong with web-based escorts) are coming to my room, the front desk will just call and ask if they are expected and send them up. I am a high level member of their awards program, which is why I stay at their properties (to rack up the points).
Thanks for the reminder. I called a few hours ago and the front desk said guests are allowed. Of course, asking if WG's specifically are allowed, would probably reveal a different answer. If I run into any problems while there, I will pack up and move to a different hotel.

Sheraton deira
I can confirm that sheraton deira is completely green.
There are some black girls waiting in the hall and the white ones (Chinese included) are allowed to stay at the chelsey arms bar.
You have also WG working and waiting. In the hall of the metropolitan deira and in the movenpick deira.

Grosvenor
Hello Gentlemen,
I will be staying at this new hotel in a few weeks and was wondering if this is green. I have stayed at the JW Marriott a few years ago and I had no problems. I will report after stay as I expect an active four nights.
Thanks,
Rush
I stayed at JW Marriott Marquee on shaikh Zayeed Road on Dec 2 for three days and I can tell you that it is green. When arrived, I asked at concierge desk and I was told that guests are allowed with I'd. They did make a copy of WG's ids. I had WGs for all three nights from Ratsky, Premier & Pakistani from Howard Johnson without any issue.

Last night at the Kempinski at MOE. Same.
My findings are that all high end are green. No I'd. No questions. Shangri-LA; Fairmont, Grovesnor, Kempinski, Ritz. Expensive, but privacy is one of the things that I believe they are proud of. Of course, anyone I have taken have looked the part. No working girl costumes. Enjoy

Holiday Inn Deira

I did try to read the forum but I couldn't find anything conclusive as to whether Holiday Inn Deira is Green or Red? If anyone has any idea, please share.
Thank you!

Great info, but you probably mean the Sheraton Dubai Creek; that contains the Chelsea Arms, arguably the oldest pub in Dubai! The Sheraton Deira is a few klicks away on Al Muteena Street.

Broadway
I heard that Broadway has gone red after it re-opened again. WGs still available but strictly not allowed in the rooms. Is that true?

Green Hotels
Will be in Dubai from the 26th thru the 30th, this month. Used to stay at the JW Marriott, and the Fairmont, both green. This visit, however, I'm considering the Moevenpick Hotel and Apartments (I believe, used to be close to the revered Cyclone) , the Meridien Fairway, or Sheraton Deira on Al Muteena. The Marriott and Fairmont managed to price themselves out of my budget. And after RTFF, so have all the other luxury properties. So, any advice on these three for red or green. The Sheraton Deira is a crazy property. Do they still have the ground level club that used to cater to the CIS clan? The late House of E used to be across the street, sigh. The last time I was there in March, she told me NOT to stay there. Got to book in the next 48 hours-I'm leaning towards the Moevenpick. Thanks!
