I met a girl today whose profile said Cebu.

When I chatted with her she told me she lived in Taguig so I arranged to meet her at Mkt Mkt.

We met (at least she was exactly on time) and she told me she had 3 rides to get there because she had come from Antipolo where she now lives.

When I tried to untangle the Cebu-Taguig- Antipolo link she then told me how her family was flooded out in the Marikina floods in 2009? WTF?

At that stage I gave up and thought exactly what FF said (see above).

At least she was worth it, no matter where she actually lived or had travelled from.

When I asked her about it she said she just borrowed it off some other site. I told her that some guys will get angry if they meet her and she is not the same girl and her reply was "Well guys feed me bullshit stories all the time so why shouldn't I give out some of my own".

I couldn't disagree with her basic premise.

Com) to find someone to marry, and most guys are there to find multiple sex partners. Very few are there to really find a date.

I agree that the deception of posting a fake photo on the profile is very irritating. But I can also understand the desire for a certain amount of anonymity. For a long time, I did not post an image on my profile for the dating sites, because some of the women I have met go nuts and spam my inbox every time they see my accounts online. I ultimately decided that I was missing out on to many potentials hook ups to worry about it. So I posted my pic again for the girls to see. I have learned to use the blocking function quite well these days.
