Recently, I went to one of nana place's popular bars and had a few cokes. I doubt you will choose Citadines Soi 23. I hated it. I recall Tansak panning it and I tried it anyway. Hard beds and unhelpful staff poor breakfast options. He was right. My GF did not like it either (a few years back now). Plenty of better options in the area. Perhaps okay If you love a hard bed. I don't recall any other guys suggesting Citadines 23, possibly the worst of the Citadines Hotels. I thought nearby Admiral Premier was easily superior or Mermaid, or Silq Soi 19, or Fx Soi 21. So many other options.Still to be fair, Booking.com gives Citadines 23 an 8.3 very Good rating. Surprises me. Maybe they improved, but I bet the beds are still hard.

If don't want to walk from Nana to Cowboy, take a motorcycle for 60 Baht (or Taxi from Suk Soi 5). Taxi from Nana Plaza not a great option. Sky train would be silly, since you have too much walking to get to and from skytrain anyway, plus wait for train and could be crowded. I take a motorcycle regularly since it is so quick, even though 60 Baht is a slight ripoff price. Sometimes walk as takes only 15 minutes. Taxi should take much longer than 15 minutes if taken from Nana Plaza, simply because it cannot turn right into Sukhumvit. Motorcycle is a far better option.

Pattaya can be a hit or a miss, I really never liked it. Also citadines 23 is really bad, I have stayed at the Citadines in London and expected this to be a good one however was highly disappointed, the shower did not even fit me properly, forget the girl fitting there with you, the distance is less agreed. However the place is bad. Try something else. I recommend the Legacy suites on Soi 29, Novotel on Soi 20 or even the holiday inn on Soi 26,5 minutes walk but worth it. Taxi from Soi cowboy to Nana is not more than 50 baht, if you take a taxi by meter, however after 10 pm mostly the drivers know you are a punter and they will never agree by meter, offer them 80-100 and they will instantly agree. 30-50 baht here and there should not really be a bother.

Just booked petals inn (maybe quiet to be away from the main Rd). Seems more people prefer Cowboy to Nana. Will see.

When you negotiate it with the girl, say, ST 90 min. Does it start from the moment you step out of the bar or arrival at yr hotel?

Do you pay before or after service? Got poor experience at Tijuana here, some girls got poor manner once they got money.

I've budget for a decent hotel for the trip. , but not interested in a too fancy one. I just hope it is Quiet and Clean (good rest) and fairly close.

Soft beds as found in upper class hotels make my back ache. Also I find a hard bed better for making love.

I found the staff quite helpful, but indeed don't take the breakfast option. You have a kitchenette in your room, so it is easy to arrange your own breakfast.

For some guys that could be less than 30 munutes. I take 90 minutes often but that is unusual. Girls don't want to just hang with you once you popped so could easily leave before 90 minutes.

Because I take so long, I am willing to pay not absolute lowest. I try to be fair without being ripped off.

Quite a few girls are happy to be my regulars because I am not too stingy.

[/QUOTE]I've been to Tijuana many times, but have only spent 3 weeks in Thailand. IMHO, they are not similar, I find Thailand much more enjoyable. More places to find more girls, lower prices, better service, longer time for the basic short time (ST) session, more kinds of places to meet girls, more slim girls, fewer heavy girls, cleaner people (shower before you meet, before sex, and after sex), never feel rushed, BBBJ is common, BBFS is sometimes offered, lower priced drinks for you and her, street girls (freelancers) are not locked into one particular filthy hotel, many more girls on stage than you will ever see in Tijuana, and never feel in danger from police or street thugs.

Tijuana might have a couple of advantages for some people. I never looked for it, but I never ran into a Thai girl that offered 200 peso quickies like the alley girls in Tijuana ($11 or 400 baht). In Thailand you need to be on careful outlook for ladyboys, they are everywhere in the Thailand hooker zones and in higher concentrations than on Ninos Heros in Tijuana.

Of course, it is a much different culture. I've always met nice people in TJ, but more nice people in Thailand.

If you like the look of Thai girls, you will surely enjoy your stay.
