El Trocadero, Las Cucardas, etc. (notes from trip)
Thought I'd post notes from a recently completed trip, even though I only did the mongering part sort of halfheartedly and didn't break much new ground. Maybe there's a detail of use to someone.
Stayed in one of the hostels that had private rooms for $25 (tiny shared bath) in Miraflores for 4 nights. Not a great setting to bring anyone back (and I'm 98% sure they wouldn't allow), but the location was outstanding and the room pretty good for the cost. Other activities included a touristy thing or two around Miraflores, trying the food, and going downtown to rummage some of the collectibles places around Quilca Street. That last activity put me near plaza San Martin, so after getting s7. 50 pico sour or two at Roko's I took the taxi in search of El Trocadero.
Some of the taxis would hold out the "Callao" sign and were shared and at s10, if I remember correctly, which got me to Minka center (a big but not distinctive looking mall). I figured the taxis from there would be more knowledgeable anyway and I speak Spanish based on 5 years of study 35 years ago and not much practice, so I knew enough to make mistakes not available to the average visitor.
The guy looked like he was practically taking me to the port when I decided we had to be on the wrong track. I repeated "El Trocadero" several times and said it was acerca de Minka (close to, not far). Finally something clicked and he took me down this busy and dusty side road through a desolate looking area to a lot and busy drop-off area. "Oh, El Troc!" he said...I guess that that's what locals asked for and what he understood. After some arguing I gave him s13 for the trouble even though the ride probably should have been more like s5-10.
This was around 6:30 pm On a Wednesday evening, by the way. It was s10 to get in, as mentioned. I started walking around. Someone mentioned John Waters. Well, most of the girls could have auditioned for one of his female characters, as the "before" of Rosie O'Donnell would be cute by comparison. The place was sprawling, but looked like it could have been a cellblock except they keep the prisons cleaner. I forget the pricing guidance, but with maybe 40-50% of rooms occupied I found only one girl that might be semi-doable, and she looked a bit zoned. The rest were maybe 3-6 at best and possibly as heavy as you. About the only thing missing compared to the dump in Iquitos was the level of heat and humidity.
You know you're in a dodgy place when there are signs on the wall asking customers not to try to do it without condoms. Am sure some guys try offering extra money or making "sin condon" part of the negotiation and a few of the women accept. That kind of place.
I'd seen some pretty dumpy places with tiny rooms and all-locals crowds in places in Southeast Asia, so the concept wasn't new. But unlike over there, in Peru the low price point really pinched the quality. Writing a description of the place would be worthy of a final exam in a descriptive writing class, what with the pink lights, dark corners, general filth, etc. Reminds me a bit of the legendary Chungking and Mirador Mansions in Hong Kong, which aren't brothels but do have lots of areas that don't get cleaned. Am glad I got to see it but won't be heading back.
Got a taxi to head back toward downtown and Las Cucardas. Admission is s35 including a coupon for a free drink (though it's only good at the downstairs bar, not the upstairs (and a Cuba libre is the only stated firewater choice (or gaseosas (soft drinks)). They're VERY security conscious and pat down everyone and want you to check everything, notably cellphones but also other stuff. I had a pen in my pocket and they wanted that to go with my checked stuff. The manager was good natured about all of it, though.
The difference in girl quality was immediately noticeable, with about 85% I'd consider doable and some real stunners. A favorite from the last trip was able to rock a Brazilian bikini, which few girls could pull of. Most weren't quite at that level but could wear swimwear tops or skimpy outfits to show off assets.
Standard rate is s80 and most girls collect in advance. Rooms have bidets and you get the Nevada-style washing of the important parts, often self-serve. I always being my own raincoats from the USA And haven't had a problem with that. There's no official time limit, but you have to try to get a sense for attitude and it's better to go in less-busy times to get a longer course of service. You can also tip, though I was unsure of protocols there and didn't want to ruin the market.
Once again without asking nationality in advance I picked one from Ecuador with the waist-long black hair and nice shape. I guess I need to go to that country (porn star Zoey Kush is from there. Take that, Shakira!) She got the job done with the CBJ and three positions or so. It may have gone slightly over the usual time, but I left satisfied.
For the trip back to Miraflores, by the way, I went all Cheap Charlie (or Carlos Barato?) and walked the short walk past La Playa to the main street (on the north side) and caught a taxi at s5 to Plaza Dos De Mayo and the Metro back to Miraflores.
On night #2 (Thursday), it was the same sort of plan, though I took the taxi straight from San Martin Square to Las Cucardas. The driver wouldn't go below s10 and I could see the problem was traffic at the 6:30-ish hour. It moved slowly to and through the 2 de Mayo Plaza and finally cleared not far from the soi (hehe. I mean, calle. You can tell I've been to Thailand too much).
This time I chose initially too much based on looks and did so on the first pass, and I got another one from Ecuador who was about a 7. 5 but either did the session too quickly, was too loose down there or both. Almost happened but not quite, and she wasn't as patient as the girl from the night before (who I'd looked for but wasn't there). So I took a rest break in the bar and the comfy seats, bought a Cusquena at s15 (cocktail prices look steep but beer is semi-reasonable) and relaxed a bit. I was the only obvious foreigner in the place, though locals were totally cool about it.
When I thought I had some energy back I reminded myself of the don't-pick-the-cutest-girl bit and went for a curvier but still proportional one who was second-tier but gave the right attitude vibe. Not from Ecuador, it turned out, but from Piura, which is close to Ecuador. She got the rest of the job done by mid-session. It felt totally cool to be able to afford to take two if needed.
Night #3 (Friday) was my last before moving on to Chile. Crowds were NOTICEABLY larger even by 7 pm And I could see supply-demand would be a problem. I took Piura girl again but didn't get the desired result in the allotted time. Maybe the blue pill was a dud, as I remembered it had been from a different (generic) batch and not the ones I'd gotten locally. Sensitivity has never been easy and I'll use the thin polyurethane rubbers, but usually a buildup (like an oil massage) produces much better results. Places I've been so far in South America are oriented toward people who can do quick shots, sometimes even in cramped quarters were uncomfortable positions are the only ones possible. I guess they haven't gotten the memo that not everyone is 18-30.
Oh, well. The girl was pleasant, I can't complain for the price, and I sorta knew there was less chance of success on a third night in a row. I decided against trying another chica, as most rooms were in use and there were far more guys than girls that night (payday and all that.) They had the strip show going with the smoke to give the guys waiting some entertainment on the first floor. It was more like a costumed striptease for most girls and very tame by USA Standards.
So the place is highly recommended overall, especially if you were in my situation and wanted a piece-rate solution rather than a more time-consuming take-home and possible GFE. I would definitely favor going on a weekday, though, when supply / demand would be more favorable. It's not nearly as fun when guys outnumber girls 2-1 and nearly every room is busy.
Do not be fooled with fake photos online
A recommendation to tourists visiting Peru request to meet the girl to check if you are seeing in the picture I look on the internet from a web limaanuncios.com name and contact a girl that looked very hermosa photo and when I saw her reach was not the same, really did not look like the picture so the next day between back to the internet and contact another girl and asked to meet in a bar near the hotel in Miraflores the girl accept and whether it was the girl of the photo.
Looking for a GF apartment in Miraflores San Isidro or Barranco
I realize that a lot of the apartments on AIRBNB are not likely to cause a problem when bringing in girls from the bars, but I am hoping some member can recommend to me a place where my friends and I can relax, perhaps even quietly party without being worried. We are not smokers or trouble makers, but then again, we like to bring 3-4 girls back from time to time.
I need three BR for 5 nights and money is not an issue.
Please PM me (or post, I am fine with that).
Thanks! F.
Short layover near the airport. Any hope?
I have a 5 HR layover between Bogota and Rio. Is it worth trying to find a Peruana experience? I have never been to Peru before. Would need something close to the airport for late afternoon, early evening action. Will need to clear customs as well. Given Bogota and Rio, am I likely to find that class of working girl? Please give honest opinions!
Thanks!
Rodeo.
Leave carry on in a locker
You can leave your carry on in a locker by the escalator going to the second floor next to the national arriving section.
El Trocadero is much closer to the airport than Las Cucardas is. So you probably should go there and stay closer to the airport. There's also Anaconda, that's close to the airport too (to the north).
Are you checking all your luggage? What kind of carry-on do you have? If you don't mind rolling your Samsonite 21" spinner through a dirty brothel you can make it work. But don't expect to blend in with the locals though. Even if you don't wear shorts they can tell you're a tourist by your suitcase.
