Ops! Forgot One Thing from My Previous Report!
For those of you that want to travel to Russia on a business visa without actually having business there.
Advantage of business visa: No hotel stay required, can stay in an apartment and travel freely anywhere in Russia without approval.
Disadvantage of a business visa: You have to register it in the Ministry of Commerce (not 100% sure of which ministry but there they will direct you when you go) and there is one lady there that I nicknamed Witch Hazel. She really has a problem with any American doing business in Russia and makes every effort to disapprove it and make you leave Russia (within three business days of entry).
Since it was my responsibility to get the visa for Russia, I did an internet search for buisness visa for Saint Petersberg, Russia. I only had a selection of three or four and went with the cheapest. I had to wait for about a month for the paperwork to be initiated and approved in Saint Petersberg and then sent on to me in the states, before I could send it on to the Embassy in San Francisco, CA. I was so close on time that I really didn't pay any attention to all of the forms, but it had all been approved with every office stamping it, so I thought it was correct. When I tried to register it in Saint Petersberg is where I found out that the sponsor of my business visa was also a marriage agency (didn't say that on the link that I applied for it on) and Witch Hazel spotted it right away. BIG PROBLEM! She was convinced I was there checking out women and wanted me gone!
It took many faxes from my host company to convince her I was there for legitimate business. And it really looked like I would be returning to the states without a chance to bid on the contract I was there for. So for those of you who would like to take a short cut to get a business visa be very careful or you will be going home in three business days. Luckily, there was a Russian holiday there or I would have had to leave.
A word to the wise!
Probing the domestic market. Part I: Visiting apartment girls.
This research took place during 7 days in December 2004 but because of problems with WSG server during the months thereafter my post was delayed. I will describe how I found girls and how they performed in their apartments and in my place. Prices varied between 600 and 2000 rubles per hour.
As I was a newbie at that time I ran into some basic problems. Therefore I decided also to include a lot of practical information for beginners. I will include information about prices, public transport, taxis, safety and how to find a girls’ address. As I speak intermediate Russian, I herewith reflect what a Russian speaking foreigner will find on the domestic (=Russian speaking) p4p market in St. Pete.
Reading the St. Petersburg and Moscow threads of this forum, I got the feeling that all action is currently happening in Moscow, given the posts of some honourable members to whom I express my gratitude. Special thanks to CA Traveler, Dr. Skank, Shostakovich and Stravinsky. I hope to meet some you guys for a beer one day. St. Petersburg has a lot to offer and I hope that Piter will be back in the spotlights after this humble contribution.
Going to their apartments
Being adventurous I wanted to try some of the apartments in St. Pete that host working girls. You can find listings of them on [url]www.omen.ru[/url] (only in Russian) and in two printed magazines that are distributed on the streets (also in Russian, forgot the names). If you want to make a booking in such an apartment, you should speak Russian at least at intermediate level because their knowledge of English is mostly near to zero. I met a few exceptions though. All directions are given in Russian, so you have to understand the grammatical concepts of time (when), space (where). By the way: the Russian language has a steep learning curve, so keep in mind that you do not speak “intermediate” Russian after studying the Berlitz phrase book. You might be able to splutter a phrase or two but you won’t even get close to understanding the answers.
The reward is worth the effort however. If you travel, like I did, to apartments in the outskirts of St. Pete you will get laid for two hours for 2500 rubles with beautiful Russian girls who rarely see a foreigner during winter.
In the beginning I felt a little insecure about travelling to the outskirts (up to 45 minutes metro ride from the city centre), especially after dark. And in December this is already after 15:30. However after some time you get used to the desolate metro stations, black-dressed, never-smiling people and large blocks of Soviet flats. During my metro journeys I killed the time by reading a book, which often attracted the attention of the dyev sitting next to me because it was in a non-Russian language. This little trick worked, at least in winter in the outskirts and not during rush hour. I would not recommend doing this when men sit next to you.
The quality of the apartments varied from dark and worn-out komunalkas to recently western-style renovated flats with laminated floors. They were always occupied by friendly girls who were happy to help you, albeit it in Russian.
The apartment girls
Once you have mastered all hurdles you suddenly find yourself in a spacious, completely renovated flat close to metro station Park Pabedy. There I spent two hours with a 23-year-old beauty called Nastya. She did her best to create a romantic atmosphere by lightning about 10 small candles in the room and putting the light out. Got a CBJ which was OK and fucked her nice shaven pussy in doggy position. I spent almost half of my paid time talking to her. 1 shot / 2500 rubles.

The girls stay there because it’s cheap, not to frighten you. And the quality of the apartment is no indication for the quality of the girls. You might well find some hidden jewels.

Safety in the apartments
We probably heard stories of men getting robbed (or drugged) when visiting apartments but I think it very seldom happens (if ever). I suspect that those men were already drunk before they entered the apartment which made them an easy target. During my apartment visits I never had the idea that something might happen to me. If you feel insecure, follow your senses and take the usual precautions: go by daylight, only drink mineral water from a sealed bottle (or don’t drink at all), “accidentally” walk into the adjacent rooms to check who’s there, or simply leave. Don’t carry more cash then strictly necessary (about 2 times the price you are planning to pay for the girl) and leave your credit cards at a safe place so when you your wallet is stolen it wont be a disaster.
Travelling to the apartments and back
Travelling from/to the apartments in the evening hours must be planned carefully if you use public transport. All public transport in St. Pete is dead after midnight. Plan your last visit to end around 22:30 so that you have plenty of time to return home. Remember that a walk to the metro station can take half an hour or more. When there is no public transport you can take a taxi (expensive for foreigners) or stop a private car and negotiate about the price. The latter is not advised for beginners. The best way is to let the girls arrange a return taxi for you.
Taxis
There has been written a lot about taxis in St. Pete and the prices they charge for foreigners. A reasonable company is Taxi Blues (271 88 88). They quote the approximate price for the journey beforehand. For a ride from the city centre to the airport they charged me about 500 rubles which is not a bad price, given that most hotels and apartment rental companies will charge you anything between 750 and 1500 rubles. Every now and then they have an English speaking operator.
Finding a girls’ address in St. Pete
Finding an address in St. Pete can be a pain in the ass if you don’t know how it works. When you have called a girl and decided to go to her, she will give you the address of the apartment where she resides. Addresses consist of three to five parts: street name (ulitsa, улица), building number (dom, дом) and apartment number (kvartira, квартира), often preceded by the closest metro station (stantsiya metro, станция метро). Buildings can be as large as 200x200 meters with multiple entrances (all closed) and code locks. Building numbers are often not visible and apartment numbers are frequently hand-painted on the walls and worn-off. Another thing you need is the door code (kod, код) to unlock the entrance door which leads to the staircase to the apartment. Otherwise you find yourself outside in the cold and you can’t get in. And because you forgot your mobile phone you can’t ask them. Or worse, you don’t have a hell of an idea where you have to go to because you can’t crack the stantsiya-ulitsa-dom-kod-kvartira series....
A short “worst case” beginner’s guide for finding an address or apartment in St. Pete:
Let’s assume that you want to visit a girl in St. Pete and that you have the address containing of metro station – street name – building number – door code – and apartment number (stantsiya-ulitsa-dom-kod-kvartira) . This is the most complex case.
Now what should you do? The first thing you have to do is get a detailed street plan that covers the whole of Sint Petersburg. Street plans that only show you the city centre are useless if you travel to the outskirts. Then take the metro, travel to the metro station (stantsiya) and find the right exit to the city. Once outside you have to search for the street name (ulitsa) where the building is located. When you found the street, you have to locate the building (dom) with the right number. If building numbers are not visible (which is often the case), you have to ask a local or try to estimate it from adjacent building numbers. Sometimes building numbers can get quite confusing. I have seen buildings numbered “3-5” followed by “1/7” (pay attention to the use of the “-” and “/“). It actually meant that the first building contained the buildings numbers 3 to 5 and the second building contained the numbers 1 and 7. The confusing thing is that, in this case, building number 3 actually comes before building number 1 which you normally do not expect. Because of this I once walked into the wrong building, knocking at the door of the wrong apartment. Had to explain an old babushka what I was doing at her door.
When you have found the right building, it’s time to find the right entrance. Buildings can be very large (up to 200x200 meters) and have several entrances which are not interconnected. You cannot simply walk to another part of the building when you entered through the wrong entrance. You have to go outside and take another one. Take some time to walk around the whole building. Your entrance might also be at the back of the building, which sometimes seems to be another street but still is named after the first street. Normally, every entrance lists the apartment numbers that are behind it. But sometimes the apartment numbers were hand-painted on the wall years ago and worn off, or are not listed at all. If that’s the case, ask a local again or call the girls on your mobile phone and ask them which entrance to use or that they meet you outside.
When you have found the right entrance, you have to open it. If you have done your work right, you have asked the girls for the door code (kod) to open the entrance. If not, then it’s time to get your mobile phone again and ask them. The coded door lock is a small iron box with 10 keys numbered from 0 to 9. The code (mostly 3 digits) has to be pressed *simultaneously*. Many newbies including me try to enter the digits sequentially (like typing a phone number) and don’t get in. Modern-looking digital locks accept sequentially entered numbers. When you have opened the entrance, you will be in the staircase. Sometimes you see an elevator and sometimes you don’t but when you see one you probably won’t dare to use it.
The last step is to find the apartment (kvartira). Apartment numbers are small numbers, often nailed to the door frame at the very top. You easily overlook them. Finally you have to ring the bell (or knock on the door if the bell doesn’t work) and you’re inside. It’s easy. If you know how it works...

Probing the domestic market. Part II: Come to my place
if you don’t want to go through the trouble of finding a girls’ apartment, you can also ask them to come to your place. i managed to see a fair number of girls in my apartment. not all the girls i contacted wanted to come to me, especially when they lived far away or late at night. in that case, they proposed to come over to them (which i already described in part i). if an advertisement lists that they also do outcall visits (Выезд) they will mostly be willing to visit you. prices varied between 600 rubles per hour for a russian private worker to 2000 rubles per hour for an english speaking dyev who worked for a pimp.
directions
when the girl visits you, you have to give her the directions. this is the opposite way as explained in part i where the girl gave directions to you. the first thing she will ask is the closest metro station. then she will ask you for street name, building number and apartment number. one of the most difficult things will be the correct pronunciation of the street name. some street names (like nevski prospekt) are easy to pronounce, however if you live in one of those streets with a tongue breaking name you will have to practice first with a local, otherwise she won’t be able to understand where you live. mostly she will be in your apartment within an hour. if you live, like i did, in an apartment behind steel doors and two code locks, ask the girl that she phones you when she has arrived at the building. you can simply walk outside and pick her up. or leave her there when you don’t like her.
the “come to my place” girls
sonya was an 18-year-old beauty who told she was going to marry soon with a man she did not love. as with many young (and not so experienced) girls, her performance was mediocre though her shaven pussy, silky skin and young soft c size tits were very nice. as an exception to the rule, she looked better (younger) than on the photos. 2 shots. price: 2500 rubles / 2 hours.

take a lot of time to choose your girl. i looked at literally hundreds of photos and descriptions before i chose a few. about 1% of the girls satisfied my needs but spending all those hours in choosing them was already half the fun. i called two of the omen.ru girls before i flew to st. petersburg so i got laid already a few hours after arrival.
condoms etc.
except for yana, all girls had their own condoms. i did not see any of the infamous russian condoms anymore. it might be handy to take a few with you from your own country however, just for the case.

25+ Freebies
I did some attempts to get a freebie in the 25-35 range. I contacted four women over the Internet using ICQ and email. All of them had a daytime job, children, and sometimes even a jealous husband. All of this made it complex to arrange daytime meetings. Only evening hours or weekends were possible. Sometimes I tried to set up a meeting but they did not show up (e.g. due to problems to find a nanny or their husband suspected something). On another occasion they unexpectedly called me that they wanted to see me on short notice but I couldn’t because I was busy. Furthermore none of them could come to my place after the first or second meeting. For a woman whose primary intention is not having sex with you, you need to invest in time, attention and some small presents. Unfortunately I had a lack of time (1 week) and I was busy arranging p4p with other girls. For this short 1 week period, trying to have sex with these women turned out to be a waste of time. Maybe I just had bad luck and found the wrong girls. However at minus 15 degrees it was not very inviting to have a romantic walk outside. If you are going to stay for two weeks or longer, or if you concentrate upon finding freebies (e.g. in a bars/clubs) it will most certainly work out. Clubs
I went to the Tribunal, be it with female company. After some negotiation with security at the entrance so that we could leave the club without paying (working girls seem to pay money to the security to leave with a man) we went inside. It was about 23:00. You can spot the working girls miles ahead, just as the expats doing their best to look like "western men". It looked a little bleak/pathetic to me at that time. The quality of the working girls was far below my expectations and some of them looked as if they have been working here for ages. However at midnight they started a show (which wasn't even that bad) and at 01:00 the club started to fill. At 02:00 there was a more diverse choice and even some younger student like girls were coming in. Haven't asked for prices but I think they will charge you something around $200 for a night. It was a quiet evening, so the girls flocked together chatting. I picked up some scraps of their conversation. I think they called us "wallets". We left at 03:00. Don’t take a taxi or private car close to the Tribunal when you leave. They are overpriced. Instead of that walk one or two streets further.
London Club/Pub is a Russian disco. I went there only to have a quick look. Seems quite laid back and there were some shows going on where the (mostly female) audience participated in. Female to male ratio was about 4:1 that night. Thursday is Ladies night and men are only allowed to get in after midnight.
La Plage looks like a beach. Any girl coming in bikini gets free entry, though in December this was a little difficult. From the second floor you have a good view on the boobs on the dance floor. Maybe not as good for finding freebies but still worth a visit for all the eye candy.
Safety on the streets
One of the first warnings I heard in St. Pete was that I shouldn’t walk alone on the streets after midnight, and most certainly not when I was drunk. But isn’t this true for most big cities in the world? Nevsky Prospect itself is safe after midnight but some far away side streets can get a bit scary. Ask locals where not to go. I didn’t have any trouble at all though I frequently walked alone to my apartment after midnight. I followed some basic rules however. For example, when I walked to my apartment there were two ways of reaching it: one dark and empty but short road and another well lit, longer and always people walking there. Guess which one I chose?
I know the stories of people (mostly from Asia) who were attacked by hooligans. Unfortunately when your skin colour is other than white, you might draw unwanted attention in Russia. When you look like someone from the southern states, it’s better to stay low profile. Due to what happened over the past years, Russians get very nervous when they see people which appear to come from Chechnya, Kazakhstan etc. However compared to the size of St. Pete with 4 million inhabitants, your chances running into trouble are very low as long as you follow the Four Golden Rules: 1) dress like a Russian, 2) act like a Russian (but don’t drink too much), 3) don’t talk to people you don’t know and 4) follow your senses and stay away from places where you should not be.
In general I think that St. Pete is equally safe as most average European and North-American big cities. There are always some suburbs where you must not go to. But a little fear is part of the overall Russian experience. It keeps your senses sharp and you enjoy yourself more intense when you finally relax in the arms of a Russian beauty.
Apart from that, Russian drivers are your biggest hazard. They drive like madmen and pedestrians are – from their point of view – annoying obstacles. The Nevsky is often more like a race track. Be careful when you cross the streets. The traffic over here isn’t comparable to anything in Europe, the USA or Down under. Think of that when you try to cross the Nevsky and a Hummer is approaching you at 80+ km/h, tooting loudly. The probability that you are hit by a car is higher than being harassed by some lunatic.

Probing the domestic market. Part IV: Peculiarities / tips
Having fucked a number of Russian girls I have the feeling that “Russian sex” is still a little mechanical. I assume this is a leftover from the good ol’ Soviet times when sex officially did not exist. Sometimes I thought I was fucking an inflatable doll instead of a girl of flesh and blood.
Nearly all of the girls wanted to turn off the lights while having sex. This might be a strategy, shyness, or both. You might want to investigate her pussy and ass with a little light for any visible signs of STDs before entering them.
If you pay a girl, don’t put the money on the table but hand it over. Putting money on the table is considered as a bad omen in Russia. Russians are very superstitious.
When you visit a girl in her apartment it has two big advantages: 1) There will be no hassle with the militsia at all because you travel alone. You will be just one of the millions of anonymous commuters who use public transport every day. 2) You don’t need an apartment or a girl friendly hotel.
Most of the photos I saw at omen.ru and in the magazines are correct, so you can see (more or less) what you get. Some girls look better in reality, some worse. Pay attention to their height/weight ratio because voluptuous girls only show their best parts (eyes, face, shoulders, breasts etc.). Photos that look too good to be true are generally too good to be true. I saw one or two photos of Moscow girls in the St. Pete magazines, so some “pollution” is certainly present. Some girls are heavily photoshopped.
In the rare case that something happens to you and you have to report to the militsia, ask for special assistance for foreigners. You cannot reach this assistance directly, but the ordinary militsia should call this number: 278 30 14. When available, this special assistance also provides an English speaking translator.
Do not waste your time with talking with the dyevs when you have booked p4p for a limited amount of time like 1-3 hours. You will find yourself talking to her half of your paid time, though it can be interesting sometimes...
I preferred 2 girls for 2-3 hours instead of one for the whole night because the sex vocabulary of most girls will be exhausted after a few hours anyway. After that, it is only repetition. When you take two different girls for 2-3 hours per girl, price & duration will be about the same but the fun will be double.
Don't ask the girls "may I do this or that with you". They will always say no because it is not common for a man to ask for permission. Just do it and they will say you anyway when they don't like it. Some girls persisted not to have anal when I asked them though they explicitly listed it in their advertisement. The best way to avoid this is to agree it by phone before you visit them.
Some girls want you to take a shower before having sex. Take any valuables with you when you cannot lock them away. Don’t leave them in your coat. Girls like Irena will check your pockets while you are showering. Check your belongings before you leave the girl or the girl leaves you. It doesn’t happen often, but it saves you a lot of wasted time when you can avoid that they steal your phone, credit card or passport.
From some girls I heard stories of drunken foreigners that entered the apartments escorted by a male Russian translator/friend. They hate those men and it ruins pleasure in their work.
It will be difficult to get a girl into your apartment after 21:00. Eventually you will succeed but you might have to call up to 10 girls or more to find one (plus 500 rubles extra for a taxi).
Buy a Russian prepaid GSM SIM card as soon as possible or you’ll be surprised what the Russians will charge you for their network roaming services. There are dozens of phone shops along Nevski Prospect and its side streets. If you are lucky, you meet an English speaking sales person. Be aware that when you buy a Russian prepaid SIM card, you need to show your passport, visa and registration.
Get at least one Russian girlfriend, not necessarily for sex. She will show you places and (underground) clubs you never find on your own. You can use this information on your next visits, or even during your current visit.
Given that a monthly wage for a teacher in St. Pete is about 3000 rubles, I think that 2500 rubles for just two hours of sex work is a lot of money in Russia. It would be comparable to a working girl in the USA asking for $ 1,000 per hour. There must be cheaper alternatives inside or outside St. Pete but I just haven’t found them yet. But then again, you might get what you pay for...
In general I paid about 1250 rubles per hours for the girls. When I add all the overhead costs (flight, hotels, apartments, transfers, visa etc.) and smear them out over all the girls, their price would be close to 2500 rubles per hour.
So, after 19 shots with 11 different girls in 7 days I went home. After the 10th girl, it felt a little bit like a rehearsal, though still exciting.
