Pattaya Reports

When I'm in Pattaya, the girls that I bring back to my room are mostly FLs from Beach Road or Walking Street. I've never had anything stolen so far. I don't act like a fool, I am reasonably careful and I often take my time to select a girl for a LT session. For instance, when I've just met a girl, I usually have only a ST session with her at first, and if everything is fine, I may take her again the day after for a LT session. Even for ST sessions, I speak a bit with the girls first and if something in their attitude seems strange to me, I don't take any risk and don't make any deal with them.

Of course, shit can happen! But I too believe that Thailand is a very safe mongering country, provided that you are reasonably careful.

Funny enough, on several occasions, a lady of the night did forget some of her belongings in my room after a LT session (including some gold jewelry and even a wallet once... but never a mobile phone!). :D In every case, I've been able to give them back their forgotten items.

I go almost exclusively with Street freelancers - but not skanky ones. I've never had anything stolen out of many dozens if not hundreds of encounters in Thailand. I also don't make it tempting for them by leaving valuables out there for them to take - but I've never had one go through my bags, nor try to steal my room's in-room safe or my entire suitcase.

I second that. I'm strictly FL too... the skankier the better! (just kidding) If I had never been to Thailand before these guys would be scaring the shit out of me. I do keep my pacsafe tied up in the closet with my extra cash, credit cards, plane ticket, and passport, however I have only had that for my last 2 or 3 trips. Before that I still had never had a problem with people trying to take things nonetheless. Maybe it's because I'm a cool mf and I don't mix getting sloppy drunk with mongering.

Also, before I leave the room to do a pickup the only money I'm going to have on me is what my final offer to the girl is plus a little spending cash. For instance, if I'm doing a BR pick up then I will carry with me 500 for the girl plus 300 in case I want to buy snacks or food. Rare soapie event, 2000. If I am doing a Lucifer run then I carry 1000 for the girl (in case I end up going back to her room instead of my hotel) and another 700 for misc. I don't get caught up buying the expensive drinks in the club. The faces I have seen on guys after they get those bills in excess of 3000 baht, when they could have used that to session for 3 different all-nighters.

Arrived from Isan 6pm, Nov 3rd, at the Ibis on 2ND Road for 2 nights as the Pasadena Lodge was full.

After de-clogging from the slog South, I ventured into Soi 6 for some well earned relief. Took a slow stroll towards Beach Road and decided on a sexy girl who took my eye outside Kiss Kool. Upon entering I was immediately aware of 2 guys sprawled on the couches to my right, each with a bobbing head between their knees, classic.

I opted for a beer and made my way to a more discreet room upstairs, where upon I had a lovely BBBJ, after some nice foreplay and FK. Quick clean up and then into round 2 in which I indulged in some full on doggie.

I then went to the Bier garden for some food which was good, as always, not many ladies about but then still early.

I Spent the rest of evening in and out of various haunts, Beach Club, Angelwitch to name but 2 just to gage any changes from my last trip.

Day 3 checked into the Pasadena at lunchtime for 8 nights. A top place in my book and found really helpful and charming 2 girls who run the reception. Standard of rooms would put many other more well known establishments to shame, especially for the price 1200THB for a superior room. Note, cash only taken as payment, no cards.

I checked out Champagne, Oasis and Club Blu that night. Found the girls in Oasis uninteresting and certainly not as good as those in Champagne, where there were some lookers. Club Blu also had some very nice girls in.

BFd a girl from Champagne in the end but just for ST and she was more than accommodating back at the hotel with some energetic doggie and cowgirl.

Days 4-6 I spent with a cute 25 year old who I have known from Casanovy since June, I used to be a big fan of the place, so a very TGF time but decided on the 3 night rule as she was having some financial difficulties and I could see the question being popped for me to help her out, big time. Good sex, everything is available but I'm not into anal. Her English is very good and so very easy to communicate which ups the time spent together.

The best and last part of the trip was with an old TGF from December last year, days 7-10, 33 years old, looks about 27/28, classy and a great body and knows how to use it. Went to what was going to be a great (Safari) party at Club Blu which got raided by the old bill bang on midnight as the free Champagne was about to flow. I still had a great 2 and half hours there. All Thais had to go upstairs for a drugs test, except those who were customers brought along, as in my TGFs case, by a Farang.

Shame it was just boiling up nicely and some of the dancers they had were terrific.

Had drinks a couple of times in Armageddon bar, in LK Metro, only 5-6 girls there but the Mamasan was very pleasant to me and the TGF.

I also had a couple of afternoons at the Dream Teen MP and they really have got some very nice and young girls there, I took the same girl each time, only 22 and absolutely farm fresh. Gave a good service in the end but first time had to be persuaded that you do not pay 500THB for her just to take her kit off!

I also enjoyed the breakfasts at Witherspoons, good quality IMO, although all were eaten around noon. I also enjoyed a nice evening with the second TGF at the Cabbage and Condoms restaurant, strictly for GFs only unless you need to impress IMHO but a lovely setting to have dinner in.

Opened a bank account the day before I leave Thailand so I only deposited 1.000 baht. Got my ATM card right then right there and all the necessary gear for internet banking. Some more info on that was send to me next day by e-mail. A lady clerk helped me to set up my new pin on the ATM outside the bank, without her looking of course, and that was it.

Next time in Thailand I intend to do what you are saying. Change the euros into baht and deposit them there and use my ATM card onrwards. Don't know about foreign currency accounts. Ask them and let us know.

I forgot to ask about fees. I think they do not charge otherwise my Greek friend who took me there would have told me.

Have your money well spend there. Plenty of holes eager to take it in.

Which branch of which bank? What particular documents and personal information are needed to open the account?

What is with all these renovations going on along Walking Street? They are tearing half the place down, gutting out bars, sometimes for the second time in a year on the same place. Just take a walk from the North side down to Soi 16 and up. I saw an escalator that was less than a year old being removed.

Is the future Walking St all glass and metal ala SoHo Square?.

I'll admit I prefer the funky original buildings to the Soho style and I know things change but do all these renovations seem overly excessive to you all?

And do all these renovations seem to be in good for business sense?

Or something out of control?

Sorry to inform you of this, but Thai Banks require 2,000 Baht in the account. If there is not 2,000 Baht in the account they deduct 50 per month as a bank fee until there are no longer any funds in your account and it is closed.

You have been lucky so far that you have not had anything stolen or caught any sexual related disease. Over a 300 Baht bar fine, is it really worth the risk? You really can’t be that cheap and then brag about it.

I figure that a 300 baht bar fine, times the 300+ or so girls I've gone with, adds up to 90,000 baht, or roughly $3000 US. Since there's no way that I leave anything close to $3000 US available to be taken outside of the safe, I am WAY ahead of the game. And as for STDs, they make rubbers to protect you from those. You are a fool if you think that bar girls are any safer than any other prostitutes with respect to STDs. So it makes sense to take simple precautions no matter what type of Thai hooker you are going with.

You are entitled to your paranoia, but it is just that, paranoia. When one takes simple common sense precautions, going with freelancers is not risky at all. BY FAR the biggest risk I have ever taken in Thailand is in trying to cross Sukhumvit road without getting killed by the traffic.

Maybe I just have a lot more money than you and prefer to operate on the safe side.

All you have to do is read the Pattaya Mail and every week there is at least one story, if not two or three about tourist picking up freelancers and being drugged and ripped off.

Maybe you just don't read the paper, it is free, you can read it on line. Just think how much that would save you. Besides, as I am sure you already know, it only takes one time and you have been lucky so far. So for your sake, I hope your good luck keeps up.

Of course, shit can happen, but the news media only report the worst stories and dramatic events. And in probably more than 99% of encounters with freelancers, there is nothing worth reporting for the press.

We often don't know all the details of the story when shit happens, but most of the time (of course, not always), it could have been avoided provided that the punter has not acted foolishly. Common sense is your best protection, not a barfine.
