I mentioned that a 25k tip for DATY and DFK is way too much. Usually DATY is a part of the deal or there is no deal.

DFK is unique and deserves a 10k tip. None of the girls I was with complained when they received my 10k tip.

I do not discriminate on who I give tips to. For me it's all about my personal satisfaction and I do not give one rotten egg about messing up anything for whomever. That's not what I am thinking about when I leave tips.

Tipping people no matter what profession is what I do. I tip the waiters and waitresses at Denny's $5. 00 for a $11. 00 breakfast, I tip my barber $10. 00 for a $15. 00 haircut, which means no matter when I walk in, I have an appt and am always next. I tip the hotel bellhops $5. 00 for taking my bag from the lobby to the room, I tip the taxi drivers $5K extra for taking me down to El Centro, etc., etc. So tipping 40% or more is not unusal for me, No Matter Where I Am.

Some people are big tippers and some people are NOT. Perhaps if I had to worry about counting pennies then I would not tip the way I do. Fortunately, for me I do not have to count my pennies.

We don't want you to come back one day and say how Colombia is so dangerous. I'm sure many heard what happened at the Mansion a while back. A older gent staying at the Mansion would flash his cash around. Treat everyone to dinner at Palmitas. Overpay the girls. Routinely have 10k in his safe. Guess what happened? Mansion got held up. Fortunately no one was hurt. Moral of the story. Follow customs and don't stick out and make yourself a target! I certainly wouldn't want to hang out with someone like that in Colombia.

If you are happy and satisfied with your level or service then you should leave a nice tip. If the services provided are not up to your standards no tip is also appropriate.

You will hear a lot of this "You'll Spoil the girls. " all that means is that the 5k-10k "tip" that the others guys leave will be seen as cheap. Simple solution; don't be cheap. It's another $5USD

I'm going to Medellin and I looked up stuff on Medellin Mansion but it is too expensive, so I'm going to stay at a Hostel as I originally planned. Does anyone want to meet up with me on Friday or Thursday or both days to make rounds at casas. I'm a monger from MIA. I had plans with a friend who spoke Spanish but he canceled is not coming with me to Medellin anymore, so it looks like I am going alone. I wanted to know if anyone could meet up tour Medellin.

If not is going to casas, not knowing Spanish, dangerous?
