Went to Shark, because I am familiar with there and liked it enough in the past 3 years. Line-up is looking worst though. It's a bit of a cow festival on stage, but I see so many familiar faces. I can see why CH needed to ban the practice because customer and lady drinks are virtually the same price.

They should actually charge more for a lady drink to cover her commission if 60 baht, however I am happy the lady drink price is lower than at Suzie.

Yes some of the staff are shitty. I really don't care. All bills have to be signed to avoid ripoffs or anything unexpected. Even BF has a bill sheet to be signed these days.

To my taste, the average girl standard in CH has declined as they slowly move to a more Bacarra like look. So am surprised you liked it more than previously. I particularly liked it in its first year although my favourite was there about two years ago. The most stunning girls are all gone in my opinion. Went yesterday to Hillary 2 bar on Soi 4. It is now one of the few places around where you can have live music. No big surprise for those who are familiar with the place, a lot of FL are looking for a prey. Its only been 5 years since the big AEC scare which did prompt the government to speak out more than normal when it comes to pushing for more English in schools but it was mostly rhetoric and they ended up retracting funding which continues the cycle of low quality teachers and education content. There are also a lot of young Thais, in Bangkok and more so the provinces, who don't think about the practical benefits of learning English until its forced upon them.

A couple of questions and comments:

1. Why on earth is a Thai refused entry at CH? I have not seen this happen anywhere else and I have not been to CH with a Thai man, so pardon my ignorance.

2. How much did you say the barfine is at Cowboy 2 ? Looks incredibly steep. Have not been there in ages.

3. A huge lesson for punters. Never let your ego get the better of you. Had you refused to pay upfront for a drink and walked away (like so many I know would) the whole encounter would have just not happened.

4,. Despite poor experiences in the past you remained focused on the key objective. You did not let a few 100 baht ruin the mood. And I think the girl knew that she had overquoted 3000 but since you did not negotiate she voluntarily turned it into an extended ST. I hope some of price police here make note of this.

The bar fine at Cowboy 2 is 2,500 before midnight and 1,000 after. It is because they are trying to give the impression of being higher class or more high so as the Thais put it. As I stated, it's set up more like a G club so the ladies are not obligated to go out with a customer but if they do, it is worth their while. 2 years ago I was quoted 6,000ST there and I did not like the lady enough to take the plunge. Cowboy, Dejavu are in a group of Agogos that are confusing to most mongers. They think every lady on Soi Cowboy is barfinable.
