Is it a buyers market? Do we want what's available.

Or is it the unwanted fruit?

Do the stunners steal the few mongers or do they leave until high season?

The first was a single night in a 1,000 baht hotel; it was terrible (sorry, I forgot the name). Second, was about 1,700 baht and it was pretty decent (tower wing at Ambassador on Soi 11). I was quite happy there. Later I read that Dynasty Grande near Nana Plaza is much nicer, and that runs about 2,200 baht.

So, between a terrible place and a very nice place the difference is just 1,200 baht. Depending on your financial situation, that might not be much difference for your personal comfort. I will never again stay at a place lesser than the tower wing at Ambassador.

Now that it's low season, is Thermae still only for Japanese / Korean?

If yes, do the girls ever get more desperate for customers there, besides when it's closing time?

Especially during rainy season.[/QUOTE]Miami Hotel at Sukhumvit Soi 13 is 1200 baht. Old school (GI) but very clean and guest friendly in a good location, nice pool as well.

All this hotel talk should be in the Bangkok Hotels thread. That way people looking for hotel information in the future can find it. And it clutters up and distracts from the usual Bangkok forum posts regarding ladies noses, personal musings, and the ever present 'correcting' the opinion of other ISG members.

That said: any referencing of hotel prices in Thailand should include whether the price quoted is ++ or net, as the 20% difference between the two is significant to the discussion.

There is really no excuse for it because the Thailand forum has the most categories out of all the other locations. The problem is people don't RTFF. Anyways about this 20% nonsense. I've always booked my hotels on booking dot com and have never been quoted at price before tax. The price is always after tax, the exact total amount I pay them when arriving. Strange you would mention that.

I had another visit to Crazy House last night, heaving with a higher percentage of Japanese / Korean than I remember. I got to say I got totally pissed off with the too too heavy hustle. I know the order takers well and always look after them when leaving but this time the persistent hustle to buy then tequilas just got on my wick. I said to the woman who brought me the beer that I would tip her a 100 when I was leaving but would give her nothing if she kept asking me for tequila. I was OK until another came out of nowhere asked me who I wanted from the stage and after picking "film" no 159 if I remember correctly she also wanted tequila. I thought what the fu*k, normally it's the chics who hustle for drinks but at CH the waitresses if you can call them that are twice as much in your face. I asked "film" who claimed she was a uni student studying interior design what she wanted to drink, yes you guessed it the double up tequila and coke scam. I bought her three tequilas because she was a little shy and I am a true believer in a couple of shots being a great leg opener. I realized she lacked a few ingredients to reach my normal spec and taste threshold but her personality and style were above what I normally encounter in bars so off we went. I gave her a good time which she more than appreciated and returned enthusiastically. I considered it a successful evening but please CH ease up on the hustle its getting too much.

LT would be around 4 K. You could be lucky to pick a girl for 3 K LT if the girl is desperate and its closing time. Atleast that has been my experience in Bacarra. Last year a real hottie asked me 3. 5 K for ST. Finally settled for 3 K.

Thought that was incredibly steep but decided so splurge and agreed. Even after I said yes to 8 k, she actually thought about it for 5 minutes and ultimately declined to wait for Japanese customers. Maybe thought she could make more?

I assume the girls on the 2nd / 3rd floors who are considered the be-team, are significantly cheaper.

Today after having a non action at Club 107, I decided to check Sow Coi. Each and every club gal was wanted 5K bath + bar fine. Very ridiculous pricing.

Even at 1.00 AM they were not ready to bring down their pricing. It wasn't that busy, wondering what's changing.

They may do this for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because they may get more money doing STs. Secondly, they just don't want to go.

- Was their asking price of 5 K baht + barfine for LT or for ST?
- Did you counter with 3-4 K and they did not budge or did you just walk away with no counter offer after they said 5 K?
- Are you mostly talking about the Coyotes who line up outside of the Soi Cowboy bars or was that same price quoted for the real go-go girls working on the stage inside the bars, too?

If the opening quote of 5K + barfine was for LT at 1AM and coming from the Coyotes that line up outside the Soi Cowboy bars, then not much has changed at all over the past couple of years. That would be fairly normal opening quotes from some of those girls, if they quote any price at all. Actually, if all of those Coyote girls were quoting at least SOME amount of baht to take them for LT at 1AM then that speaks to how slow business is these days and in need of money they are in that they are at least willing to go with a customer for sex at all.

Maybe you misheard what she said or maybe her English wasn't very good and she misspoke. Or are you in the Indian, Arabic, or Black guy category?
