I saw a Farang sit on a bottle of water for a long time. He hardly drank any of it so never needed another drink. Definitely a waste of space. If customers are a waste of space and try to attend regularly, they may well be denied entry (known non spenders).

There are a lot of staff to be paid their salary somehow, and they want to make a profit. Freeloaders are not welcome.

Drink sales is the main source of money. Barfines are somewhat more minor I would guess. Only a percentage of the girls get barfined each night. Plenty of the customers are not barfining a girl, and that often includes myself. I have barfined a girl perhaps only 4 times this year. Only my regular girls and not every visit. My regulars are often missing. They don't work consistently. All had been away on holidays.

The responsibility for making this transaction a rewarding one for both sides falls both ways. It doesn't just fall onto the customer.

I have spent (wasted) plenty of money on drinks in bars where it eventually turned out the bar and staff were the freeloaders, not me, wasting space, my time and my money. In fact, on balance, I would say the freeloaders are far more likely to be on the bars' side, not on the customers' side. And it is certainly not on my side even though I assure you there are times when I am inclined to sit on one drink for a long time and wait.

The idea behind these bars is that you don't pay a cover charge. If your intent is to go in and just sit and watch the talent, then I see no reason why you shouldn't have to buy a few drinks. The thing is, even if you just get a water or coke and milk that for a while they won't kick you out for the most part. They may make you feel uncomfortable but force is rarely used to remove someone who is trying to get a free or extremely cheap ogle of the talent. Some of these places can get extremely packed which can turn off actual paying customers (typically the 'freeloaders' are less likely to mind minimal elbow room). If you're waiting around for something better than the right thing to do is to just come back later and see if things change, otherwise you should contribute to the bar and services.

Therefore, he has contributed something to the bar; he bought a drink. It isn't really "free" for him. The bar version of a freeloader wouldn't mean no one in the bar is doing anything at all. It is simply that they might not have earned a reason for him to buy another drink. And it is entirely possible that he is waiting to see if there will be a good reason to do so any minute.

Having a bar full of customers who nurse a single SML for 90 minutes isn't going to encourage them to pay agencies more to increase their talent pool. If you want hotter women then you need to contribute to the bar, plain and simple which is why the Japanese / Korean bars have the best talent. Those guys really know how to have a good time at a bar.

I've always been a fan of soapies, but haven't had a chance to go for a while. I used to go to Nataree (before it closed down) and Annies (before the talent went down and the prices up). I was glad to find out recently thanks to a forum post that there's an upscale place like Mitu on Suk 33, and decided to give it a chance.

Short version: it's overpriced.

Long version:

Good points: The location is easy to find and not too far from the BTS. The staff is super friendly, and you even get a free ice cream after your session. The rooms are clean and pretty big, and most of all the air con is not freezing, which tends to be the case in too many massages places.

Average points. You get to choose from a menu on an iPad (actually, they show you their online page and you scroll down) so you don't see the girls in real life before you choose them. I asked Papasan who was there, he pointed out 4 girls and recommended the 1st one. I followed his advice and chose Faris. To me, she looks like a far cousin from the girl on the pictures. She's heavier, very average looking, but nice smile (braces) and a good personality. She speaks little English, but enough. I would not have chosen her if gotten the chance to see a lineup. After a shower, we went into soapie mode on a good air mattress. I was lying on my front, and that part was amazing. Finally a true soapy experience, she knew what she was doing and doing it well. After about 7 minutes, she turned me around, and this takes us to the *negative points* section.

Negative points. From the time I was on my back, she went straight to BBBJ, which was good but not amazing. After a mn or two of playing with my dick, it became pretty mechanical. The best 3 lookers in CH in my opinion are gone. They have not been able to replace them with like beauties.

There is a limit to how long a guy can sit on 1 drink before he becomes a waste of space interfering with money making given limited seats and all seats being taken. This does happen in a busy bar like Crazy or Bacarra. If the guy wants to be entertained for 3 hours, that might not be reasonable. If his visit is 30 to 40 minutes, then fine. We can't expect him to be more thirsty than 1 drink. I don't know if the bar has a line where they the think x drinks per hour is reasonable.

Baccara used the tactic to expect customers to part with x amount up front before entering to prevent waste of space customers. It stopped me from entering since I did not expect the entertainment to be good enough. I could easily decide to leave within 5 minutes.

Some bars don't actually have anything I would describe as entertainment and Crazy House even has disentertainment shows where fat ugly girls do an ugly show, and take up a sympathy collection afterwards. I don't watch those ugly shows nor tip for them.

A bar could not survive if it was filled with customer's drinking water buying neither lady drinks or bar fining but equally a customer should not be hustled into buying drinks every 15 minutes as he checks out the talent. It's a free show and patrons should be aware they need to ante up if they intend staying on. Both management and customers need to be reasonable. No doubt there are freeloaders hanging around only to ogle the girls and I have no problem with refusing them entry or asking them to buy another drink but by the same token I cannot excuse the over aggressive hustling for example I find in Crazy Horse.

Will be in BKK during Khao Phansa. July 8-10. Will anything be open? I assume SC and Nana will be closed. ? What about the MPs? Or a place like Thermae? Want to know what I can expect.

First time in BKK during a Buddhist holiday and want to know if there'll be any action. I'm staying near Asoke BTS.
