Yeah disc brakes are great, my Maguras are mighty on my MTB (when they don't leak), my old trusty Avid are not so bad either and I can't wait to get my hands on a new disc brake equipped road bike. Of course if you don't ride a lot or if you're a slow descender, rim brakes are fine.

With your 6,7 kgs bicycle maybe with electric gears, how many time did you climb Swiss side of Gran San Bernardino, or Furkapass or Umbrail, or same level, when they are easy for me on my 9 kgs alloy bicycle without disk nor electric gears, when my French bicycle reached at least 5 times top of much steeper Zoncolan, even more up to top of much steeper Mortirolo and discovered Col de Loze with 24% steep and a real wall on top on last Summer. So good to climb topless under sun, when I'm not paid by Jumbo nor Bora, but just for my passion, moving flesh inside of me, with sometimes around 5 degrees on top when you highered your body temperature under effort, then You really clean your lungs at 2500 meters high and can fuck covid.
