The Metro is awesome and the girls are workd famous for their beauty.
also it seems that you get great value for your money with Chica priceing and reasonable hotel rates. Although the food is not that great you can eat cheaply if you stay away from Pobaldo.

Now I must say that if money is no problem for you then CTG with the beach and all may be a better bet for you. For now I have to stick to MDE.

I was in MDE for 15 days then I went to CTG for 3 days . I was in Colombia from July 11th to July 31st with my time in CTG from 7/26 to 7/29 then back to MDE for 2 days

When you get to well known in a area like that the girls tend to become a pain in the butt. Asking for food money and others saying how come you didn't you take me tonight? Didn't we have a good time together the last time? It gets old after a while so the 3 day trip to CTG was a welcome change.

Since I stay in Poblado, naturally chicas want to eat in Parque Lleras which can get expensive. I will next time stay in Laureles and see how that goes. BTW, at night. Look for the "Food on a cart" or something like that. Hamburger and drink for like 2500! Can't beat that!

Couple of questions.. How much did you give your chica for the 3 nights? What were the asking prices for ST and LT for the places you went to? What are the prices of beers and individual drinks?

As a quasi budget monger myself, I like to know what I'm getting into if I ever go there.

Urban handled all the paying for the drinks. He would ask me for 50 or 60 K for my share and so I really don't know exact prices. I do remember Pleyboy being 250K for a large bottle of rye.

Since I wifed up I was not asking prices,but one of our group got a hottie out of Electra for 70K near the end of the night.

I'm off to Cartagena from 30th August for two weeks. I've been 5 or 6 times before and about half of those times I have got stuck with the La Ley Seca rule. Can anyone tell me if in early September this is happening? IMO CTG is kinda dead if there's no alcohol going around.

Also, daytime options. There's Playa Hollywood, but I don't really know of anything else. Tony is ok and all, but I'd rather not. Do you have any updates?

KB[/QUOTE]Hotel Caribe is one of the original structures in Bocagrande and has many families that stay there. Also many weddings and receptions are held there. I got married there seven years ago and when we went to our room many hours later, I got the full look over by the staff. Luckily, one doorman knew my wife and things went better. If you register an extra guest and your "wife" is appropriately dressed, you might have no trouble.

For the cost you pay for the hotel, you could rent a a very nice two bedroon apartment where you will not be hassled except for your guest signing in when you bring her home. I have stayed in about six different buildings over the years, but I like Mirado del Laquito. It has a nice pool which at times you would be alone.

Sorry to go on, but I cannot understand why anybody would stay in a hotel when there are better options.

i used to live in ctg years ago (2004 ) and rented an apt with a telephone line and i subscribed to the local isp enred for internet access. it was slow dial-up and constantly dropped connections.

i'm wondering how good the internet connection is these days, the supposed "broad-band" in the apartments.

i am employed by a company now but work from home. what i want to do is move to ctg ( for a while ) and set up shop there. good broadband is a must, i'm guessing 1mb download speed would suffice.

along with the internet connection i am going to need some sort of reliable telephone source .. voip ( skype, vonage, etc.. ). one with a local number in the states so i can be called by co-workers.

does anyone know if this is possible/do-able with the services there and which voip would accommodate telephone needs .. which are minimal but necessary from time to time.

my objective is to just go, and not have my company know i am there and be able to conduct business as usual.
