I found a lot of usefull informations but I have 2 questions:
1. Where is a good money exchanger (exchange rate)?
Save your euro's and use the ATM's instead.
Amusing report, it's hard to believe that a lot of guys go to Jakarta and kind find a girl - but it's certainly the case, judjing by PM's I get.
As you say. 30 Bar is always dead now, but the upside is that the ratio of girls to bules is actually better than it used to be in my experience.
Finally, I assume it was Ms Y you shagged on the first night not Mr Y as stated!
LOL. Um yes. They were all certifiably female. Love those Indonesian curves. Was a spelling error rather than a gender error. LOL
Guys,
It's embarrassing but I have to ask if anyone can tell me what the operating hours of Hotel Travel are.
Btw the guys are right Young German, your posts will only appear later so don't keep re-posting - but good FRs:).
Menteng,
I'm still suffering from withdrawal symptoms but hopefully will get there next week to cure myself:D.
Many thanks
MD II
Hotel Travel is operating 1 pm untill 1 or 2 am. I am not sure.
I have enjoyed both trips. I only recognised yesterday that I have injured the skin of my knees. That must be from the bed sheets at hotel travel. We have had different positions and if you move to fast then your skin can get burned esp. if you have a girl in your arms.
Afte lunch, I decided no more work, and went back for a nap, then went to Menteng for a massage and HJ.

Very regrettable that our friend who is THE specialist of Jakartan nightlife will not answer that question. Are you planning to contact him?

When I got up today, I knew it'll be a bad day. :(
Seems I have to continue suffering with the pretty Indon chicks then.
Too bad...... :D

Touched brother! Enjoy! How I envy you. But in the meantime I'll try to forget the Indo chicks in the arms/between the legs of the Medellin chica's.
I'll be in Jakarta in about three weeks, so I am starting my homework by RTFF. Problem is, to a first timer, much of this is like Greek to me (and I've studied Greek!!).
I will be staying in Jakarta at the Aryaduta Hotel and Country Club. I don't know the area and I'll be with a colleague who is very vanilla. I'm sure he has know concept of ISG, and I don't want to be the person who initiates him.
Me on the other hand, I like to sample much more than the cuisine when I travel. But I'm just worried about being tied so closely to my colleague...and the fact that I'm not familiar with the area in which I am staying. I'm wondering if any of the locals or seasoned ex-pats can give me advice on a sure thing if I get 1-2 hours free to "go for a walk". I'd rather stay in the area of my hotel, but I'll take a taxi if I need to. I'd love to sample some of the massage parlors I've read a bit about on here.
Thanks in advance. You may feel free to PM me..or answer on the forum. Trust me, I'll RTFF...but this is also part of my homework assignment.

Many thanks young German. I have to say that I remember getting similar injuries many years ago doing doggy on carpet:D.

You poor suffering soul:p - I'm still awaiting your grand return to Jakarta so I can learn from the grandmaster...

Hi Gern,
Just a quick "heads up": if I'm not mistaken you're not really staying in Jakarta as such; the Aryaduta Hotel and Country Club is in Lippo Karawaci/Tangerang which is 30(?)km West of Jakarta. While there probably are possibilities (and I know some of the girls I've been with stay there) I wonder if it will be straightforward for you. Any chance for you to re-locate to the city proper?

Nope, but if Bro Menteng change his mind I'll get on the next plane, hehehe... :D
Actually I'm traveling to Surabaya coming weekend.
Enjoy!
Cheers!

Lippo Karawaci is in my personal opinion out of Central Jakarta and the last time I was there for work it took 2 hours at night to reach Tangerang. It's very much like a Expat Town and may have possibilities but chances are higher in Central Jakarta!
