I guess if you are in contact with someone that has it you would. That could be triggered on the app you need to use.

I read a post from a Colombian immigration laywer explaining this article. His response was that with a valid PCR test 72 hrs before boarding the plane you do not have to quarentine but if you do not have a valid test you must get one as soon as you arrive and must quarantine for 14 days and be tracked by some corona app. I forget what the app was now. But again this is hearsay so take it for what you will.

If you arrive on a humanitarian flight or your trip is before Sep 30 then you must arrive with the negative test or do a 14 day quarantine that is supervised by the health authorities.

What is not clear to me is what should happen if you take PCR test before you board.

We need more details on this part, maybe the App sends you notifications or something you need to respond to.

"Big Brother" will be with you, and you will be tracked and they will know your whereabouts. It will almost be like being in China, before you know it, anywhere you want to go you will have to have your phone with you to get in and out of places!

If you take the test and have results you are fine. No quarantine. It states si NO Cuentas con prueba.

Those expat groups are full of posts that promote real estate and legal services from Colombian providers. As always, I encourage everyone to consult the official sources to make travel decisions and leave the interpretations and second links via expat groups in the entertainment zone. In this case the second hand report is largely accurate although the use of the coronapp is not explicitly required on the Colombian Immigration website or the Ministry of Transportation web site.

Neither does the announcement say the corona app is a requirement. It describes it as recommended to facilitate travel. That app is not new by the way. Daniel Quintero, the mayor of Medellin, has been pushing it hard since April. I guess it's easy for me to say but it is not something I would be willing to use, at least not as intended. It's very simple to put it on a smartphone that you leave powered up in your apartment. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. It's just that I don't see a benefit in giving away personal data when you don't have to.

Big Brother!

You download it when you do the pre-flight report, and then you report through it as necessary for 14 days it appears.

What happens if somebody doesn't have a smart phone like a child or someone who doesn't have one, are they denied entry.

It's a real an invasion of privacy having them being able to track you, etc. Albeit my smartphone stays locked up in my apartment and I carry a burner phone with me. What I do know is they tried the Corona App at three malls in Medellin earlier this year to enter, and it was abandoned after a while. A boner killer for sure to enter a mall, yet in China you almost don't even get to take a piss without using their APP. I don't like the way things are headed with all of this!

Anyways, we all may be stuck with having to utilize the Corona App to get into the Country, and I guess will find out from SJobs and others as they go thru the process.

Maybe to be taken with a pinch of salt but my driver today was telling me that starting this weekend bars and restaurants are able to serve alcohol up until midnight.

Other countries do it by SMS or have someone come to your place to take your temperature a couple of times a day.

I valuated a few alternatives, especially Uganda, but then I decided for Medellin. I bought the tickets. I should fly in October, if they do not cancel the flights. I will stay for a couple of weeks.

- Can I use Uber in Medellin?

- Can I buy a local SIM card?

- Prices on prepagos are the same you get when you go in a brothel or you negotiate with a girl you meet on Tinder?

- Is it possible negotiate the prices I see on prepagos? I want to get the most of what I pay for.

- Do all the girls usually do GFE, FK (deep) and OWO?

- I have seen many prepagos girls do incall, which is the additional cost for outcall? Should I go to their place or should I take them to my place?

- How much is usually Uber for a 20 minutes trip?

- Which are the zones I should completely avoid or I should avoid just during the night?

- Where I can find the most beautiful girls?

- Is it a good practice pass by a girl on a street and speak to her? Which approach should I use in this case? Should I go straight to the point and offer her money?

- Which are the best places for nightlife?

- I have seen the temperature can drop till 17ºsee in September. Should I take some jeans with me, or can I stay in Bermuda all the time? Would I need a jumper? I want to travel light.
