Phnom Penh

I'm worried that I might be too much of a special case to find what I'm looking for, so any help is appreciated. I'm 30 years old and looking to lose my virginity in Cambodia. I'm very fit and attractive, and can't really explain why I haven't lost it yet back in the US, but have never had a girlfriend. I guess I'm too shy. Too complicated to go into. Anyways, the only reason I would want to lose it here is because I can find attractive and young (18 yo) girls here that I wouldn't have a chance with, given my age, in the US. And girls my age in the US are too experienced for me to feel comfortable with. But a nice first time experience isn't the only consideration. I don't drink or dance. So bars, nightclubs, and KTV locations are pretty much out of the question. I've been around Phnom Penh now a few days. I've been by all the popular locations and haven't seen any real possibilities. Can't deal with bars, the girls on 63rd st are mostly average looking, and haven't found any brothels. I had an awkward experience yesterday when I entered a Tuol Kork KTV thinking, as I had been told, that KTV establishments are thinly veiled brothels, and when I was taken to the karaoke room and I explained that I don't drink, would only want a coke, don't want to sing either, and asked where the girls were it seemed the bouncer / host guy there wanted me to leave. Don't know how safe it would have been for me there anyways given two of the girls sitting out front looked no older than 14-15. So what's my best option? I can tell a moto driver to bring me girls, but they can only bring 1-2 at a time and most of the time ignore my request for 18yos and bring me older girls. I'd rather choose from a much bigger group. Are the brothel days in Phnom Penh over? Am I too late? Is Pattaya a better option for me? I came to Cambodia for other reasons, so if nothing happens it would be disappointing but not a waste. But I also don't want to have regrets when I leave.

They have clean air conditioned rooms for $15 (maybe if you pay for a week in advance you can get a better rate). I don't think they check IDs unless you ask, but if you do not escort the girl out they will call your room before they let her leave.

thanks[/quote]cambodia is not for you if you are reasonably ok looking. it is very hard to meet normal girls. the girls at the brothels, bars, ktv do not care if you are young or a virgin (in men's terms it means nothing). if you are in the age bracket of 12-16 it may mean something to other high school girls. so do not go and advertise the fact with girls. they will be amused but least bit interested. maybe they will take advantage of the fact and scam you.

but in phnom penh you should have been successfull in getting laid quickly. maybe you are too cautious, afraid of **** or just afraid. only thing i want to say is with prostitutes there is no need to worry if you satisfy the girl or not.

pattaya is also for seasoned mongers.

i would suggest chat with phi normal girls. they can speak english and will be accomodating becauuse they themselves are not much experienced in sex.

i remember when i lost my virginity at age 13 with a girl of older age of 16. she had experience and taught me but i doubt if i really satisfied her. sex was over quickly and no amount coaxing from her could get my thing stand up again. i guess at that age it is hard to have sex more than once a day.

It sounds to me, like you are putting up a bunch of mental roadblocks for yourself, the same reasons that you are inventing that kept you from getting laid in the US.

For example, who says you can't go into a bar or nightclub JUST to meet girls, without drinking or dancing? There are literally THOUSANDS of girls in PP waiting to meet a guy just like you (a guy with $20 in his pocket). And if you are young and good looking, that even opens the possibilities a little more.

But, you have to be at least a little bit aggressive. Anybody who is experience and knows the "score" will be able to swoop in and steal your young hottie, while you are busy staring at your shoes and making excuses for yourself.

My advice would be, go hang out in these bars anyway, go to Shanghai where it sounds like most of the girls are not even available for takeout. Buy them some lady drinks, buy yourself a coke, talk to the girls and have a good time.

You need to get over the fear of talking to these girls initially. So just go and have fun without the enormous pressure you've built up for yourself about trying to lose your virginity. Maybe after a while you will be comfortable enough to tell some girls what you are looking for, maybe they know somebody who knows somebody. Even make friends with some of the guys, who might be able to take you under their wing.

Also if you are inexperienced and end up with an inexperienced girl, you could have a disaster. There is nothing wrong with going with a girl that has a little bit of experience. Are you really going to turn down a 25 year old hottie, waiting instead for the mythical girl that just turned 18 yesterday?

Sorry for the tough love, but the only thing stopping you is you. So go out, learn to have fun, and let things progress instead of stopping them for all these silly reasons.

The problem is that you want something fairly restrictive and aren't willing to try many places to find it. If every guy could find very attractive 18yo girls and didn't have to bother with annoying bars and clubs, life would be pretty pleasant.

Massage parlors in Bangkok might be your best bet. Some have 40 or 50 girls working which you can choose from, though the younger ones are more expensive.

Glad you cured the guy that was buying drinks at the drop of hat. He probably overpays massively as well which totally spoils things for everyone who follows. Once a girl knows she can get $40 for an all nigh from some clueless tourist then everyone in the bar will want the same. The average wage in Cambodia is barely $15 so buying multiple lady drinks etc is just stupid.

If so, keep it in your pants until you stopover in Thailand, you will find plenty of nice young and willing girls to take care of you, and they can be very young, all claim 18yo, but a few are younger. And don't bother about not drinking alchohol, I have spent many a night on Coke and Soda water and 7up, nobody will think any less of you for not drinking. You can still go to discos to listen to the music etc. But get a decent hotel, not a flea trap, believe me that will turn the girl off quick smart, be sensibly generous and you will have a great time.

To all who have replied, thanks. And yeah, I realized that Phnom Penh has changed a lot since the 90s. It's nothing like "Off the Rails" makes it out to be. To be honest, that's what I was looking for. And it's not being able to please the girl that I'm worried about. I couldn't care less about that. I just want someone young and attractive because I know that I probably will never be able to get an 18yo back in the states. I also don't want to go through the hassle at the bars. Bars put me off and it's really only about sex. If I wanted to chat a girl up I'd stick to american girls who can at least speak english well and can hold a decent conversation. On the other hand, I don't want it to be too cold and business-like and not feel like I have many options. In PP I didn't feel like there were many attractive girls outside of the bar district. From what I've read of Pattaya it seems you can walk the beach and girls will wave you down. But those reports were also from years back.

That was the routine at Local 2 Guesthouse (March 2012). No problem with bringing a girl, and a decent place to stay for about $20 (no breakfast.)

If they do not see you as a sex tourist they will take an interest particularly in a young stud. The sales woman who was about 30, not too old for an old fart like me, actually reached out, took my hand and walked me around to another part of the shop where the bedding was. I will bet I could have followed up and at least got a first date, but I was asking the questions to figure out how much to give the "child bride" that I was supporting. I have a son your age, he is mucking around with women of 30 etc, and won't let me tell him he needs a younger girl, not one reaching her use by date. When I took ill in Bangkok last year, I asked him to come over and escort me home, I didn't need it, but I hoped he would come and see that there are still women in the world who are not throw backs to elephants, but he could not see the wood for the trees. He spotted all the ugly ones and lost interest. Your first date with a thai girl may well be a threesome, not in that way, she will bring a chaperone to check you out, second date you are on your own, they are adventurous, they want to sample a farang at least once in their lives, and don't ask if they have been checked for HIV, you will at a minimum get your face slapped by any decent girl.

You won't find what you're looking for if you don't like those environments.

There are still girls on the beach road in Pattaya, but I doubt you'd like them. Many are about 40 and very rough looking, like streetwalkers back in the US.

I still say your best bet is massage parlours in Bangkok. Minimum hassle and 18ish girls available in some.
