Finding willing women certainly isn't a problem. My biggest concern is what PipeLayer mentions, compatibility for multiple days together. Your timing sounds fine (starting too early is bad), but you will need to arrange to meet several girls in person to find one that's suitable for a travel companion (and even that's a bit of a crapshoot). Video chat, exchanging photos and messages can eliminate a few outliers, but will NOT give you enough information to decide -- only meeting in person counts. Personally, with online dating, I prefer to meet anyone looking semi-decent in person as soon as possible -- surprises go both ways (sometimes a meh girl turns out nice in person), and online "relationship building" is almost [I]completely[/I] irrelevant.

It's not clear to me if you're looking for a P4P girl or a regular girl. If you are doing Bangkok then heading up-country to the villages around Chang Rai then there won't be much action and taking a companion makes sense. A city girl might not like it too much if you go down-market in your accommodation, but you would be pretty unlucky to find one who's like that.

On the other hand if you're going to Pattaya and Phuket then taking someone is probably pointless.

I visited Crazy House last night around 10 or 11 pm. There was basically zero talent in the bar last night. It was pathetic. It doesn't surprise me that they let a 50-60 year old up on stage. They let the staff there do whatever they want, and it probably doesn't matter because they are the most popular bar amongst falangs so the customers keep coming back anyway. Whatever, let them, a tourist trap can be a benefit if you never fall for it.

I've been to BKK numerous times but as a tourist, so honestly no idea about monthly expenses. I searched over Internet for this but most of the information available are outdated!

Where I'm working right now, pays me 40% more than this salary but since it's Thailand I'm willing to compromise.

Any suggestion / comment on expenses in general would be appreciated.

Near Major Mall for about 14 months. It was a couple of years ago. And while I know there is a constant fright on who can live on the least. I don't think 35 K is realistic unless you are willing to give up some comforts.

Halfway decent accommodation with utilities (power water cable phone laundry) at least 25 K plus 10 for food and that's your 35 blown.

For leisure excluding P4P I. E. Cinema, drinks (depending on how much), transport, straight massages and other sundries allow another 10 and you're closer to the basic requirement.

Add in P4P and depending on your libido I would forget any notion of saving money. Incidentally depending on your contract most likely there will be some deduction from your pay packet for taxes.

All that aside welcome to the land of smiles where you will have the time of your life and never want to leave.

Tom.[/QUOTE]The answer is no. 70 K will give you a reasonable existence in BKK. You will not be able to "save" anything. BKK is far more expensive than it used to be. You really need 100 K plus to live an ok lifestyle and travel a bit. And that does not include any "savings. ".

Actually, not only will you not be able to save, but you will most likely burn through your entitle savings practicing this hobby. It's addictive, especially if you live on Suk.
