Went down for a few hours with Xxnegrito who didn't mind driving. Hong Kong was okay. It was more like a sausage fest as there were few chicas there from past visits. There were a few worth taking up but they were quickly gobbled up by others. This was a big change from previous visits with the limited chicas present. It didn't help that we got there late and the club closing at 3:00 am, the time just flew by.

Got to the Zona at 8pm this time and LC had three young slim attractive girls dancing outside to get guys to go inside. It worked. LC had a totally different ambiance from last week. It is the reports of violence that is keeping the gringos away. Almost every gringo I know is scared to death of Mexico based on what they've seen in the news. I was on Revo Thursday afternoon and it was empty of gringos. Except me. There was an article in the LA Times last weekend about how the locals are going out to the clubs and the rise of new bars/restaurants/etc along La Sexta. Eventually more good news stories about TJ will bring gringos back.

When they have the cover charge, it is $3.50 or 42 pesos for the Tecate Roja. If that's not your brand, you can exchange it with a bartender. They usually only have the cover on Thu/Fri/Sat nights. Sometimes if it is dead on Thursday they'll not have the cover.

The clip, er, strip clubs outside Zona Norte are going to be more expensive. There can be some really hot chicas but bring your dinero. I was in Amnesia since I on Revo for happy hour. Total customers: 4 including me but they still wanted a $8 or 104 pesos cover that included one beer or shot. At least during Hora Feliz the guy beers were $3 each (national brands). There were about 10 girls. 6 of them hot. 4 average. Girl drinks were $10 or 120 pesos. A privado was $20. Had a good time but then went to the value oriented Adelita.
