Guys, coming to manila in a week and I'm thinking about taking a regular with me to some remote spot for some R+R. Instead of bringing a big box of condoms, I was thinking about getting her checked after I arrive in manila before we head fro the province. Is it possible to get it sone in a day or two (that's how long we'll be in manila) and where would I take her? More pragmatically, is this a good idea? I'm fixed, so she won't get pregnant, but what other drawbacks have I not thought of?

Main issue is HIV. Is really a 3 month window period for testing to be effective. So you need to be sure about what she has been up to over the past three months as HIV test might not pick up a recent infection.

Price does not equate service. Do you want eye candy to take out to high class dinner place, high class disco, travel to beach destination?

Thanks, Sammon! You have told me what I thought. I understand very well that "price does not equate to service". I've been in the Makati bars many times, but have rarely seen anything in the Viva Hot Babes category.

Robinson's Ermita has a clinic in the far cornerof the mall, does all sorts of tests. Probably the most important is Hepatitis series, get tested for Hep B and Hep C. HIV results take a week last I checked, but can be done in one day in hospital setting.

Just for the old fashioned tests like Elisa or western blot.
These go for the antibodies.
Go for a PCR test and the window is a few days only.

I have broken a crown, but i'm scheduled to fly to manila on April 6. I'm thinking that i can partially fund my trip with the money i save by using a Manila dentist.

Any opinions? Has anyone had similar services provided by a good dentist there, and if so, what is a reasonable cost? Do you recommend him/her?

I have dental work done in China ,Manila and Bangkok ,I think Bangkok dentist service is much better ,I have a crown done in Shenzhen china 2 yr ago for 240 usd but I have it redone in BBK last yr because is not fit correctly .

I have cleaning and exam done in Manila before about 20 usd they do a ok job not as good as in the US and Bangkok .

I see the dentist every year in Manilal. I get a cap or 2 and it pays for the plane tickets. I had a dental implant last time that was about $2000 less than my US dentist.
