If you are approaching the area from Soi 6 you will reach Kasalong Bar first, then zig zag a bit through a small passage on the left as you face Kasalong Bar's shop front to get to L0lita's. But if you approach the area from Soi 8 you will reach L0lita's first as you described, then do the little zig zag through the small passage just past L0lita's on one side and American Bar & Grill on the other to get to Kasalong Bar. Maybe you got Soi 8 confused with Soi 6 in your memory.
