Last night on the Cheap Rent side of Soi 6 some bar opposite Repent was having a 6 year anniversary. Free Food was advertised.
It was empty. Free Food always bring the Old Expats out but not this time. To be fair I didn't know what kind of Food as I didn't see a pig being Roasted.

When Beach left location on Soi 15, now Shark it was going downhill they create the narrow space behind Moon. From the beginning it was a bad setup they remodel twice prior to Happy knocking down wall to join the two using the other rooms left and right of the main stage to accomodate tour groups in the end the expanding was a total failure.
Prior to Covid times getting tough they close Peppermint, their annual party on 18th of April, was cancelled then Covid hit during that period man behind everything pass away. Prior as you noted when Bacarra opened 2009? The BF was 600 just before Covid it was 1000? With restrictions and Condition to return. Then happy hour 69 baht for sangsom over rocks till 9:30ST was 2000 LT 3500 LD was 130-160 baht serves my memory if correct.
Bacarra was the best club didn't push 100 plus girls up and downstairs, the board just before bathroom were the listed numbers of girls 8 pm board was full by midnight more than half were gone on weekends even at 1000 a pop.
Bacarra, the old manager was great today at Peppermint mamasan Dao at IIvy both had class. After last two visits being 17th although my cousins and friends in town real millions I left shaking my head not to return although I still know a number of regulars who started from day one. The contracts and need to meet quota is so out of hand it is irritating where every mamasan who I know are hounding you for drinks even waiters, waitresses want their share you can't get a free moment to check the lineup on stage it was a frenzy!
As you noted BF are just out line a small group opening a number of club with the intend to monopolize the industry on WS, as note XS most likely had the best and youngest lineup of all the clubs a few recognized me and cousin visiting 79, so it seems they have been added to the list of 2500. Just crazy!

The pricing is stupid, most of the girls are starfishes and the moment you nut and she's putting her clothes back you, you realise in that moment of post nut clarity that you could've gotten 3-4 solid freelance sessions with girls who look almost as good (and certainly perform 10 X better) for the same price.
I prefer to leave gogo barfines to those who don't suffer from my level of PNC.
If I may come add, when you finish with FL in room there is no sense of hurry. She will take her time relax or perhaps go for a shower and if the mood is good may ask you to join her. You don't feel like a client / customer in that moment. With a bargirl, the moment you finish, your session is over and she is not yours anymore. Its pure commercial feels like shoot & scoot. Also if one treats FL well one can expect reasonably good GFE and better in room service. Just my 2 cents.

My impression is that after those minimal issues are settled the vast majority of customers just "go with the flow and see what happens in the room", accepts whatever is doled out to them and pays the amount agreed upon. Then, even if they didn't get anything like what they really dreamt about getting they happily hand the girl an additional 300 - 400 baht tip anyway. LOL.
That is my impression at least based on some reports I have read and the way many P4 P girls assume the procedure will go with me too.
However, it doesn't go that way with me. My bareback fucking success rate using the "go with the flow" method runs at about 15-20% over the years. Even worse than that in Pattaya, keeping it more pertinent to this particular forum. Which is way too low unless I want to pay for many, many sessions in order to get one decent pop and enjoy one annoying buzzkill hour after another.

Still doesn't matter. I'd much, much rather they say No to me in the bar or on the street or online than at the moment of entry in the room.

Generally if you are paying for short time both will leave relatively quickly to secure another customer for the evening. Given this I just pick the girl I find the most attractive because that's basically the only thing I can count on. The performance is unpredictable so I just sift through barfining a bunch of GoGo girls until I find the 1-2 at each bar that I like. Sometimes if I'm lucky they will stop charging me any money.

The salaries will naturally get "lowered" when the girls do not sell enough drinks. I do think there are enough girls but man the quality of the girls is not very good. There are only a handful of girls that I would consider barfining when visiting XS, Pin-Up, Palace. Having said that, the business model doesn't bother me that much as long as I get what I want.
With all these posts about gogos, the question is who here pulls ladies from Pattaya gogos?
