Just wanted to reply to this post by Super Ming regarding the Thai Massage place near the Nonhyun station. I went there tonight at around 8:00 or so and was denied entry. I think it's the same place, there is a pink sign out front that says "Foot and Thailand Massage". I am waygook and went by myself, so I assume that was why they would not let me in. I was going to ask the guy who answered, but he said no twice and shut the door on me before I could get a word out. Gotta love Korea.

Also, if anyone wants to do some scouting for the board, if you keep walking away from exit seven, keep walking until you see a Tous les Jours cafe, and then make a right down an alley, and there is a massage place called Pattaya. I didn't inquire, but my mongering senses make me think it could be a fun place; assuming they let you in, of course!

I went to Itaewon on Saturday night to check out the scene there, and was hugely disappointed with what was on offer compared to the relative "quality" that could be found a few years ago.

Many of the bars were single girl bars when in the past they had three or four working in them, and the quality on offer left a lot to be desired.

Ambrosia had the nicest looking of all the girls on the hill, and the best presented girl too in a miniskirt and halter top. The downsides were tiny breasts and ridiculous charges from which she wouldn't negotiate. The one girl in Madrid refused to drop below 100,000 won for even a blowjob, but I did get an offer for a 50k blowjob from a girl in the bar next door (Polly's Kettle side). That bar had three girls working but none of them were even a 5 on the quality scale.

After a few other aborted attempts at getting affordable play with an attractive girl, I found one lady who seemed pretty cute at the bar that used to be called Indian Joes (or next door, my mind gets foggy now), however I followed her in only to find what I can only assume was her mom sitting on a sofa in there. Woooo, time to back out the door.

Overall then, Itaewon is a pale shadow of the place it was even two years ago, and then it was nothing in comparison to what it was in the early years of this century when lots of good, affordable fun could be had in and around the hill.

On a side note, Fantasy has moved across the road and into a basement location, but I didn't venture down there. Has anyone else been in there recently?

I don't think I remember ever seeing cameras posted in the RLD areas (588, cheonho, yongsan), but I don't its a far-fetched idea either. However, I don't think their main purpose is to capture foreigners on film visiting brothels.

For example, the Cheonho RLD is located right next to a police station, and plenty of people walk by the station to get into the main area. From my personal conversations with the workers there, the majority of the police activity in the RLD itself is to make sure there are no fights (as many of you know, lots of drunks at night). I would assume that this is the main purpose of the cameras. Also, I have walked passed plenty of cops in the alleys, and never have I once been stopped. But I'm also not ignorant enough to actually solicit in plain view.

I remember back in the summer of '05, in 588, around 5pm or so, an ajoshi was getting a ticket/summons for solicitation. But I don't think they took him to the slammer. Mind you, I was walking the other way, but thats what it looked it.

As for Rican stud's story, I don't doubt its authenticity. I know lots of Korean women are on the prowl around Itaewon. My friend was propositioned by 2 women for 200K a piece at a club where the current Hard Rock Cafe is located (either there or Spy Bar, can't recall right now).

Remember, the cost of the liquor/room at the room bang runs at least 300-400K per person, plus the takeout fee (which is negotiated in the room). The one that I know of is called Bacchus, it is located in Seolleung, near exit 1 (I think this is it, the one going towards COEX, on the opposite side, same side as the KTF Tower). After going up the exit, there will be a bus stop on the left, and a Woori Bank on the right. Make a right and go up the street, you will pass a large church on the left, a Starbucks on the right. At the next intersection, make a left, you will pass the Lotte Gold Rose officetel. Make the next left, and Bacchus is on the right. It is huge, you can not miss it, there are about 10 workers/parking attendants outside.

Around that area, there are plenty of room salons, I think a block over there is another one called Royal Salute. Honestly, I have seen some of the hottest women in that area (because there are lots of offices and businesmen working in that area). Hope this helps, but word of caution, if you are a foreignor, all bets are off. As you already know, weh-guk-in don't have too much luck in Korea.

I read a lot of things about the Hill before I left for Korea a few years back. I was very curious, even though I had been to some other RLDs. So, one day, I decided to do some recon, and ventured to the Hill on a late afternoon. All I can say is, I would never want to walk through that area again. It certainly was a circus show, with the grotesque Filipino (or some other dark SE Asian) women working the bars. The only good thing of my walkabout around the area was that I was able to see thru the windows and look at the monstrosities! Thank heavens that I didn't have to actual enter any of these establishments. After about 10 minutes, I turned around and never looked back. Even taking cabs thru the main street, I look the other way when passing the Hill!

Next guy to visit a RLD, ask the girl or the mama about the cameras. They will definitely know. They live and work there, have police and gang contacts. They would know about any arrests, hassling of customers, or the locations of any nearby cameras.

So, can someone explain this to me; is it illegal to visit a RLD here in Korea if you're a foreigner? I mean, is there a law that says this? I honestly never read anything about this on here before.

Here's another question. I have a Korean work visa, and I am thinking about going to Angeles City next month for a week. When Korean immigration sees my return ticket from AC, could they not allow me back into the country, or something like that?? I assume they would know why I was going to AC (there's only one reason a single man goes there!).

On a related note, has anyone ever taken the Seoul-Clark/AC non-stop flight on Asiana Airlines? How was it?

The crackdown was discussed on this site in 2005/2006 when the crackdown was in full effect. You have to read back through to find those posts. Although prostition is widely available and tolerated it is not legal in Korea, you take a chance every time you play here if you can’t pay. The Cops can bust you any time they want but they have arrangements with most of these businesses like RLDs, Anmas, Massage shops and clubs so they are leave them alone when they play them game. That story about the teacher being busted is old news, it happened during the crackdown and as I remember he was making good money but he loss it all because he got busted. Do not pay with credit cards when you go to Anmas, some people got busted after they visited Anma’s because the cops were able to identify them from their credit cards receipts

Unless you commit a serious crime in Angeles city, Korean Immigration is not going to bother you about going there. Military members and civilians frequently travel from Korea to Japan, Bangkok, Manila, Cambodia and other hot spots with no hassles from Immigration. I know some guys who had to add pages to their passport because they travel so much. Korean men are known for getting in trouble in the PI and Thailand. There’s was talk one time of prohibiting some Korean men from traveling to the PI because they were giving Korea a bad name.

I flew from Seoul to Manila (similar to the SEL-Clark Flight) on Korean Air several times and there was nothing remarkable about the flight other than the large number of Korean men travelling there to do what everyone else is doing
