You missing a couple of major points. Don't worry, you are not alone and a lot of the so-called experts don't get it, either. The repeat lab tests for antibodies are meaningless if they don't predict reinfection. I don't use lab tests for evidence of reinfection, I use the number of sick people who got reinfected, which would be in the millions if people were not immune from prior coronavirus infection. That is the only true measure. Did any of the 8 people you claim (an extraordinary number for one person to know about, BTW) get sick again with Covid? Even if you say yes after the fact, the epidemiology proves, up to this point in time, that immunity is conferred by primary infection. Not lab tests, not pundits, not politicos, not physicians, etc. Look for outcomes and not processes. I am not arguing the point to prove I am correct, even though I am. I simply don't want people to have unwarranted fears. If your statements are accurate and I have my doubts, then the only thing you may have proved is retesting for antibodies does not predict lack of immunity. This is consistent with how a body becomes immune and reveals your basic lack of understanding of medical physiology. You do not need to have measurable antibodies to be immune. The be cells of your humoral immune system retain MEMORY on how to remanufacture antibodies if reexposed, is how it usually works. This mechanism remains to be proven with Covid, but is probably true.

If and when the immunity wears off, the epidemiological evidence will be obvious, interconvertible, overwhelming, and undeniable. It's cheap ($15) or free with insurance for the antibody test, so most of the people I know who have had it are getting tested regularly. All of the people I'm referring to (the adults) travel frequently for work and the PCR is a requirement, so they are already being tested every few weeks with PCR, so they get the antibody while they are already at the lab.

I actually know WAY more people who have covid than these 8. I was just referring to the ones who are getting tested regularly. Although another friend just posted yesterday that he is on month 6, and his test DID come back with detectable antibodies yesterday.

I also know over 10 people who have died from covid, not from complications. They were all in their 50's, young 60's. A close friend who works in a hospital in CA just lost two relatives last week.

As far as I know, no, none of them have been re-infected, but they've also been far more cautious, so. Hard to say which is causing the effect we see.

We were discussing how many people you know who got reinfected with Covid, and you said none. As far as the "effect," I explained it in macro and micro simple language, but that's okay. There is a lot of tragedy out there due to Covid, so far reinfection is not one of them.

If you want a girl that is not a hooker then get a girl that is not a hooker. Don't grab a hooker (from some "premium exclusive website") and imagine she is not a hooker when she sat there and fucked you because you gave her money. Definitions mean something. Until such time when reinfections start to reappear in the numbers that would be predicted by the know attack rate of the virus (this is not "random") then immunity has been conferred. Long term immunity can be achieved by beta cells ability to remanufacture antibodies from "memory" without the presence of detectable antibodies. This mechanism has not yet been proven in Covid. And we don't know the effect of future strains, blah, blah, blah. For now, you don't have to wonder, the proof is right in front of you. Even when the vaccine comes out, we won't know at first if will we need to be revaccinated and how often, annually like influenza, or less often? You are supporting the immunity argument when you talk about the rare cases of reinfection to date. The exception proves the rule.

I paid less than I would have for a 1 br in any mid-sized city in the US. My monthly fees are $COP 350,000, about $USD 100. Water, light and gas are 250.000 cop. Add internet and cell for COP 100.000 and that is my monthly nut. Paid COP 6,000 at the Plazulita de las Americas the other day, for breakfast of scrambled eggs, arepa con queso, and chocolate negro. About $usd 1.75. From a very cute young lady who is studying English.

Not looking for resale value, but I figure my heirs will do OK. However, at this price, if I have to walk away, no huge deal.

In fact, don't give a damn about ROI or resale, but my quality of life is pretty much unmatched. Gee so sorry I did not buy that condo in Portland or San Francisco!
