It took me a few trips to figure it out but I would bring VS lotions and some other things which I don't want to mention and dangle them in front of them as a propina for gerat service. My last 3 or 4 trips I started to trade stuff I paid 20 to 30 bucks for, for sessions. For each trip I bring a suitcase full of Victoria Secret products. I have been doing so for the last four years for at least four to five trips a year. Sometime I have so much I leave it with a friend in Rio and pick up my next trip.

I have not been stopped by customs and on the occasions they have examined my luggage they are more concerned by about my personal electronics as gifts more so than the VS.

Yes, VS is sold in duty free at obscene prices.

Interestingly, enough when you exit Centaurus there is a woman on the sidewalk as you walk to Rua Visconde de Pirajá, selling VS lotions.

They are good for barter for services and as tip for exception services. The power of VS is a strong at the Real.. It is amazing.

I went to the VS website and there are hundred of products. What is the Rolex of their product line, so I can just concentrate on one or 2 products that they will love. Don't waste your time on the Mermaid. More fish than woman. You have already cleared customs. That is where you have to worry about it. The limit for those cremes is 10. If you bring more than that and you don´t declare it and they check you then you are up shit creek. I mean if you had 12 it would be no big deal. You would just have to pay for 2 bottles. But 40 or 50 over the limit as someone was saying without declaring it and paying duty then you are asking for it.

As in the USA the limit for spirits is 1 liter. Now you will always see people bring 2 or 3 bottles. They usually let it slide, but in the case they decide not to you will have to pay $5 duty for each additional up to a certain limit. If you bring in fruit or raw meat without saying anything then you are looking at $500 fine per piece, then they will throw it away. When it doubt declare it.

I hope you'll enjoy Florida. I'm not sure how Saturdays are at Florida? Florida Bar can be very good or quite dead. It depends on the number of girls coming there that evening, which depends on if there is a foreign ship in the harbour.

Common sense is your best friend. This applies to both adults and children.

As for my experiences, electronics is the big issue. Customs is super picky and careful. They are more lax when it comes to perfumes, lotions, etc. However, use some common sense and don't push the envelope with the amount you are bringing into the country.

An important addition: The spirits limit you mention is on imported spirits. If you buy in the duty free shop in Rio in arrivals, the limits are different. You can buy 12 bottles of wine and 12 bottles of spirits. I see people going out of there all the time with cases of Johnny Walker etc. The prices are not bad either. You can save a bundle by doing this.
