Trip Report - day Two ( Part One - Particia Kimberly )
I woke up at 8:00am on Monday morning. My friend and his girlfriend had gone to work. The plan for me today is to walk around the Ave. of Paulista and visits some shopping malls. I feel it is the best time for me to monger.

Trip report - Day Two - Part Two - Angela_Red Way
After leaving Particia's apartment, I was hungry. I figured the building was close to the Ave. Of Paulista and I walked towards that direction. I stopped by a restaurant and saw some people waiting outside for seating. I knew it should be good enough. It is a small restaurant serving typical Brazilian BBQ. It is simple and nothing fancy. After lunch, I continued to walk up the hill along the Ave. Of Augusta which is one of the famous streets for the night entertainment in Sao Paulo. The street is quiet and many clubs/bars are closed at that time – early afternoon. The weather was hot and I sweat a lot when I finally see the sign of Ave. Paulista. I knew I have to get some Real for the event coming up in an hour. I went into a big mall and ask for exchange place. The security guar understood what I meant but I did not understand what he said in terms of direction. He was so kind that he called another guard inside the mall and they help me step by step to the Novo Mundo. Taking care of money, I am rushing back to my friend's apartment.
During the search I did in the morning on GP Guia, I found the address for a prive called Red Way. Trip report - Day three, four, five and six
First, I would like to rationalize on my action of tipping Angela on Monday. I feel obliged to explain that since many members on this Forum do not like the idea of inflating the prices when mongering. However, I look at that from a different perspective. First, I re-position my focus on outcall and prive this time in order to contain costs. I used to do only outcalls on my previous trips. I have a good starting point at R$80 per hour this time. Then, I found Angela and I have built good chemistry at our first meeting. My decision is to stick with her as my preferred choice during my stay instead of reaching out to find new talents. Be honest, there is limited options for me as a monger who does not speak Portuguese. In other words, I face a higher risk of meeting an under-par provider than sticking with someone I have known and felt satisfied with. Therefore, I will pay a higher price to hedge any downsize risk for me. In my personal view, everyone should pursue his most comfortable way to monger and this is just my own strategy. Day five – walk on the beach at 10:00am since my friend's beach house is very close to it.
