It seems like we're talking 60 vs. 50 Euros, not a 300% difference.

On the rest, I have actually discussed it with them and the reasons for not going private are very simple. Far less hassles with rent, utilities, phone answering, supplies laundry, furniture, cleaning, cooking, etc; far greater security; a place to sleep; more traffic; sauna and soon jacuzzi; no hassles with permits or taxes from the local authorities; no nosy neighbors; more room to move and come and go as they please, at Artemis. And the added advantage of having time to screen guys and say no if necessary during chit chat at the bar vs having to make the instant commitment in a flat. The flip side of what we guys experience in the private flats. Quite compelling and could easily balance out net positive vs the potential revenue lost from not going private.

My visit to Artemis wasn't recent, but I'm writing this for two reasons, first to thank all of you guys, especially permanent contributors (like Angus M, London T an many others) for all your insight to FKKs and how it all works.

Second, this was my first successful visit to FKK (there was another one to Collosseum with not much action) , so I think other first-timers may find it useful.

I got there around 18:00 following instructions found on this site, plus I also played a bit with google maps and street view, and even earlier I watched the video from Angus's blog.

The lady at the front desk patiently explained to me what to do, as it was my first visit. But as this is the place where you start seeing fully naked chicks (they come to the front desk to change money I think) , I had to restrain myself from saying "yeah yeah, I know all that" and run into this paradise.

The building inside was big, nice and impressive. There were quite a few guys walking everywhere as well, apparently on that night they had higher than normal share of Italians, they also had some Russians, who seemed to use services of Russian speaking girls, but majority were German or English speaking.

From what I could see guys don't normally talk to other guys, unless you came to Artemis together. Everyone's just minding their own business.

It would limit entrance a bit, building a coolness image, never being overcrowded, have far better food, stylish more erotic decor, some decent background music vs techno pop junk, and have only the hottest of the hottest girls. It would figure out some pricing structure to allow girls to earn a little more, building loyalty and service on all sides. It would offer different "business-men's" day and night rates. It would be slicker and more international than the private bordellos, and have the FKK naked atmosphere in which you can linger as long as you want, with a bar. It would seek to create a buzz as the place to be, for both hot times but also interesting conversations all around. It would have a small business center so you could do some work, allowing longer stays. There have been a few attempts but all seem to have tanked for various reasons, such as the old Bel Ami (tax evasion) , the Pascha club remake there which folded after only several months because no one bothered to check if all permits and neighbors permissions were in order, the new Bel Ami near Mon Rouge (some sleazy mafioso vibe and occasional break-in) , Mon Rouge at night, just does not work somehow, and neither does the silly Bar Rouge in Mitte.

We need some locals to deal with the locals, maybe Oliver Kahn. You can invest all those Norska Kroner into something lasting, that will grow to become a real Berlin thing. Not the biggest. So I tried to apply for a Schengen business visa as I usually only spend 3 months in Europe over any 7 month period but the twats at the German consulate told me I need to return to my country of birth. Or passport held country to apply. I told them I haven't lived there in 20 years nor been there in 17 years yet they say that is a must do. What the fuck.
