I have never heard of the hotel, but if you want to know just email and ask if you can bring a guest and if there is a joiner fee. If they have a joiner fee or say no to guests, then look else where because there are tons of good hotels in PP for under $30 / night. If the girl has no I'd see if the desk will take her cellphone.

2) Corruption. More common with government officials who are also running a business on the side.

It used to be owned and run by Aussies (maybe even still is since its been a little while since I was there).

Cool place to beat the Phnom Penh heat.
