That is a very extraordinary theory. Most people are learning from each other about how to be better. Smart girls learn that they might need to collect regular customers, by performing reliably. Only the very most gorgeous girls getting BFed all the time, don't need any regular customers. I believe each extreme can become the "culture" developed in the bars, most often established by how the leaders in that bar keep score. Bear in mind, many of the girls in these bars only learn what they are supposed to be doing for a living from the other girls. There isn't a universal code of conduct manual sitting on a shelf in each bar as far as I know. And most mamasans sure don't give a damn about it.

I don't think it's by the other girls, I think it's by management, which is basically equivalent to the mamasan.
I think the mamasans play a key role in training these girls and telling them how to act. It's just that in most bars in Bangkok, they don't give a damn because they have customers regardless.
I know in Jakarta some of the places have the girls trained to provide very good service, while others do not. No drinks sales, and the bar collapses completely. Customers that don't want buy drinks are a waste of space. Paying a BF is not good enough for the bar to make good money.

Perhaps I didn't express it very well earlier. Some here seemed to think I was talking about opposing bar "cultures" in a world where almost all of the girls are surely trying to be good in the bed but some bars happen to have a lot of girls who try but fail at it while other bars happen to have a lot of girls who try and succeed at it. Regardless, they seemed to believe, all bar "cultures" are promoting the idea of the girls at least trying to give very good or better service in the room, right? Well, no.
As you caught it, my point was that some bars develop a "culture" where there is little or no interest whatever in being good in the bed, they don't even try. Instead, the prevailing "culture" dictates the goal of the job here, the way these girls keep score among themselves, is to scam as much money out of the customers while delivering the least amount of passable sex as possible.
