Just recently I had a young friend of mines who came to Medellin for a short stay. This is about his 7th trip here. He is a different kind of guy and his main objective is having fun, regardless of cost. I can tell you that he used an agency that has girls in a Whatsapp group and every one of his girls arrived on time and looked really nice, better than nice, in my book they were all 8's and up!
Every day, this young thundercat had no less than 3 chics come through his upscale apartment in Poblado. The guards recognized me and never gave me a hassle, even when I brought 3 chics from Centro out to the apartment. No one ever complained about us playing music, chilling, relaxing and cooking, while enjoying the girls.
This guy was the kind of guy who knew what he wanted and spared no expense. This guy never complained about price and told me that he had been stuck in America for 8 months without being able to return to Colombia and he just wanted to unwind with all the extra cash from bonuses he received while travel was restricted. I can also tell you that this guy was on a million to a million and a half pesos a day budget.
If you do not have the kind of budget that this guy had, then you will probably not see the kind of girls this guy was dating. He truly had 8's, 9's, 10's. This guy did not try and undershoot the girls or bargain, they gave a price, he paid it, we partied!
We had the nice big bottles of Tequila and Grey Goose, this young guy did not spare anything, even when I suggested that he could do things on a much cheaper budget, he insisted that he only had a week to play and did not want to haggle around with prices or look for girls in the street. This guy knew what he wanted and most of all he just really wanted to unwind and have everything at his command and I salute him for that because not once did he ever complain about money, not once.
I can tell you this, watching this young man enjoy himself really gave me a different perspective on mongering and the outcome of what each monger wants, which will be individual for each monger. I came with a plan to survive regardless of how long I had to be in Medellin. My friend came on a one week trip and achieved everything he wanted to achieve. He even booked an apartment for his return in December, he will be staying 3 months on that trip. Took me a few days to rest up from all of the partying with him but this is just a review of the great weak he and I had with all of the girls in Poblado. Pollo Negro is out!
