If its better or worse well that depends per person and their ability to adopt to these changes?

Fact: since covid there is a major shift in demographics of the tourist in Thailand that have a HUGE impact on the city.

* Less Westerns and more couples / families of western countries.

* The rise of Asian tourist (arab / indian).

* More koreans who go there for a long weekend (just a few hour flight) who just have a different spend behaviour than most westerns.

* Increase in salaries after covid (due to lack of girls in 2022 - higher salaries - higher barfines - higher prices for LD).

* We now even see an increase in kickback for drinks (from 50 THB precovid to 100 THB now in Pinup as an example).

The effect on someones holiday is of course depending on what he does?

If you are into freelancers / Thaifriendly / beachroad or whatever you won't find a big impact. You can still find enough girls for the precovid prices and there are plenty of girls.

If you are into agogos the impact is probably the biggest because of the increase in barfines and prices for ladydrinks.

And yeah with the increase in salaries and all. Some girls don't go ST / LT that easy as before.

So did Pattaya change? Hell yeah!

Was it better before? Hmmm I would say it was more EASY before. Now you just have to be more "price aware".

When you're looking at a 60+ guy with a Thai girl 40 years younger it's really obvious what's going on here. One time in chiang mai some Thai guy on a bicycle rode past me and said something in Thai, I don't know what it was but it had "boom-boom" in the statement. I was alone, with nobody. He saw a white guy alone and he probably said oh look another farang here just for boom boom. I suggest you become a bit more self conscious of what you're doing and that some locals may find it disrespectful. There's plenty of countries with trash people and trash cultures that I wouldn't mind shitting all over. This is not one of them.

There are plenty of other places you could go in Thailand and feel like you're not disrespecting the locals. For example: Phuket City is a nice place with few tourists and little prostitution. You could respect the locals as much as you want and then visit the whole island without seeing "disrespectful" foreigners.

And just to let you know, Pattaya is really full of trash Thai nationals too, not just foreigners.

First night, no action. Tired due to travel.

My GF in Bangkok is 22, I am in my 50's (pass for mis 40's I'm rold, meh), anyway, she gets hit on all the time and just prefers the "safety" with me. Also likes the security and lifestyle.
