I think the upstairs costs Php100 on week days and 200 on the week ends. The room on the right hand side from the stairs seems to cater more to Koreans and I can understand why given the amounts of money they spend drinking. The other room is more mixed, with girls who have not necessarily targeted Korean guys.

I always preferred the upstairs simply because it was less crowded than the hordes of humanity that seems to congregate downstairs.

I like the upstiars. Less crowed and I've never had a bit of problem finding really cute girls there. Usually it's fighting them off to find the one I really want. True, the ones upstairs have to walk through the first floor. But it generally eliminates the plain Janes that are on the first floor and either can't afford to come upstairs or can't get anyone to pay for upstairs for them.

Plus, last time I was in there they had Freddie Agular playing upstairs. So they do have some good bands there sometimes and worth it just to chill, regardless of the talent. (which is always there).

I suspect your are absolutely correct.

I've seen the occasional group of civilian babae in LA cafe on weekend nights when there is a good band upstairs. They are like spectators watching the freak show more than active participants (although they WILL dance as a group up by the stage at times). You also see LA Cafe regulars introducing new girls to the scene who are not YET "hookers". THIS is how you grab a diamond in the rough but you must pounce without delay as the age of innocence is fleeting around LA Cafe. Getting intros to a new girl through an established vet whom you have treated well in the past is an invaluable entre.

So, Manila hold my interest, as I've long been intrigued by the LBFM legend, and the prices seem reasonable. At the same time, Bangkok has much to recommend it too, and the prices are roughly equal. Shanghi, while it's prices seem a bit higher, has many attractions (such as the infamous red rope massage). Of the three, Shanghi is cheapest to get to, while Manila is the most expensive. So, I'll ask a question that caused me to name this post:

Can any of the "regulars" tell me why I should go to Manila?

I'm open to suggestions, guys, so make your case and I'll listen to any arguements.

Go to Thailand if you just looking for a place to fuck prostitutes….It is safer and the prices are reasonable girls and hotel wise. The ladies are more “worldly” and compliant sexually.

Very difficult to find decent girls in LA cafe anymore. Loads of girls but most if not all are average to ugly. I think one of the reasons is that they just stop the beautiful girls at the door for fear of them being too young so what is left is mostly junk, with the occasional exception. I have a friend, 25 yo, a pure beauty and she is just not allowed in LA cafe because she supposedly looks too young (which is not even true). The limit to enter now is 20, not 18 anymore, and even if you have a birth certificate they will assert that it's fake and not let you in. The quality of the girls compared to a few years ago has dramatically decreased. Also the food in choice and quality has gotten much worst too while the prices have remained high, and you are constantly bothered by sellers inside LA Cafe who try to push over-priced and old chips to you. LA Cafe is definitely victim of its success. I hardly ever bother going there any more and have better luck just going out to regular Malate outlets and meet regular girls, or just go straight to gogo bars. The Management in LA Cafe needs a good kick in the but but they don't bother cause it's still going very strong.

Noticed that you posted on the Thai forum and, presumably,the China forum as well. Best to cover the angles but you will find that most guys have a preference and tends to stick to that countries board and will support their home teams.

Depends what turns your crank. Do you, as Illogic succinctly puts it, like to 'fuck prostitutes', or are you looking more for a more gf experience? This will determine where best you might best head for your vacation. Furthermore are you a meat and 2 veg kind of person or are you looking for something more exotic?

AIDS/HIV is (reportedly) very rare there, but. It is still a risk, toghether with a lot of other nasty souvenirs. Many girls do not have condoms with them, so you have better to be prepared.
