Same goes for the AMPS. One place may have both good and terrible masajistas. The starting rate of 19- 25 E /60 may sound cheaper, but the upselling at the AMPS is notorious. And "everybody" except the typical tourist knows that the Chinese houses in Barcelona offer good sessions from 60- 80 E /60 with DFK / DATY / BBBJ / CFS included (and sometimes even more!). So paying 100- 150 E at an AMP feels like a robbery. Just don't.

I like visiting AMP for the massage itself after having walked the streets of Barcelona doing sightseeing, maybe a brothel visit and your mandatory Estrella or cava at a tapas bar. It's inexpensive, relaxing and a nice break from the hectic pulse of Barcelona. Then, surprise, surprise, halfway through the massage you can have a little fun when she starts making clear that extras are on offer. If I don't see the value in the extras, I just let her continue with the massage.

I really don't have a good AMP to recommend, and honestly I don't remember the names any more either. But here is my understanding of why line-ups and "no-appointment" walk-ins are generally not available at the shared private apartments.

It is an enormously difficult administrative task to get a license in Barcelona to operate a true walk-in brothel. The Apricots website once had a section of all the things a place has to go through to get one.

On the other hand, there is nothing illegal in Spain (as long as there is no public solicitation) for a woman to work as a prostitute or for a guy to be a John. And unlike the United Kingdom, it is not illegal for two or more prostitutes to share a flat that is used for prostitution. And there is nothing illegal if those two or more prostitutes hire someone to help them with security, booking, telephone messages, cleaning, etc.

So at a shared private apartment, you are legally booking an appointment with a specific escort. Some of her flat mates might also be working at the same place at the same time. And during the process, you might encounter, either during communication or while at the facility, someone she (and the other ladies) have hired to help them.

But if they have line-ups, and guys walking into places who got the specific addresses from advertisements, they might appear to be operating as a brothel. And they are not brothels. They are independent ladies sharing a work apartment.

Plus, there really aren't that many of these independent ladies who would happen to working at these small facilities at one time. This is why we have reviews. So a person can read the reviews, study the pictures, and make an appointment.

Hard Knox.[/QUOTE]The two biggest area of complaints are that some of the women advertising as being in their 30's and 40's are using outdated photos, and some of the largest brothels that feature line-ups have a pretty big budget to get very professional photoshopping done on many of the photos.

The smaller operations and many of the independents don't have a big budget for photoshopping, and the places with relatively younger ladies do not need to do a lot of photoshopping, since most younger ladies look good naturally.
