Spa opposite Mag City in Maradana RAIDED
sorry for the delay in posting this...
a couple of weeks back the spa opposite mag city in maradana was raided, the following is an eye wittness testimony that sends shivers down my spine. at roughly 5:30 am the spa was stormed by cops in civil (including 1 police woman in civils) they kicked open the doors of all the occupied rooms and asked the girls to come out at once and gather in one room, everyone was commanded switch off their mobile.
customers had to get dressed and were asked to sit in the front reception area. one cops had been pretending to be a customer and this was the bastaard who must have given the signal for the cops to arrive luckily the girl had not offered to give him a shake.
the cops then proceeded to ask questions from the receptionist asking details about the nature of activities. no one was allowed to leave.
at about 7:30pm erveryone (customers included) were bundled into a van and taken to the fort police station, luckily one the girls had secretly managed to call the owner and inform him of the situvation. this was lucky as a little later all the phones were collected by the cops.
the situvation was very, very bad, it looked like everyone was going to have to stay in jail for the night as the court case was set for the next day. some of the girls were crying, one had a small daughter waiting for her all alone at her home, another had a breast feeding child.
at about 10:00pm the spa owner's lawyers arrived, and after that all were given back their phones and allowed to make calls and after giving a statement only the customers were allowed to leave (at about 11:00pm).
i followed this up after a few days by calling and speaking to one of the girls, she said that the spa owner had won the case and they had been released the next day after the court case. i think this was because the owner is very well connected in fact he had sent not 1 but 2 lawyers
that day and i later heard that he was willing to spend lakhs of rupees to save the girls if he had to.
but the reality is if not to the lawyers the customers too might have to have spent a night in jail not to mention the embarasement later.
