If you have a USA based cable TV account sling it to Colombia then hook your TV up to your computer and / or Apple TV or similar device. It will also allow you to watch on an Iphone and IPad.

I just back from a week in Cancun with my Colombian girlfriend. Colombians need a passport to enter Mexico and this easy to obtain. She had to go to two places locally in Medellin and the cost was about $100 USD total. She had to return to one of the places a few days later a pick up her passport. Very easy.
I had read of a few instances where Colombian women were denied entrance into Cancun. I was advised by another board member to have her bring at least $500 so she had $900 upon arrival. I had no problems with immigration. A few basic questions and on our way we went. It was nice to have the cash on hand upon arrival though. Great trip but I would not return. I will take South Florida and The Florida Keys in a second over Cancun. My girlfriend needs a Visa to enter the US though. I want to add that I am 40 and my girlfriend is 29. Also, on my trip to Cancun, and my previous trip to San Andres, I only saw one couple where the age gap was 25+ years involving a Gringo. I saw this couple in customs in Cancun. Unfortunately, they were way behind me in the line so I can't say if they made it through or not.
I was required by Copa Airlines to show proof of my return ticket to the US from Medellin. This happened in the airport in Cancun upon trying to return to Medellin. A manager let me use a computer to access my emails and print out my itinerary. If necessary I would have purchased a fully refundable one way ticket from Medellin to the US and then cancelled upon arrival in Medellin.
The next step for me and my girlfriend is to get a tourist visa to the US. This process should take less than a month. I was told that the acceptance rate currently is a whopping 85% and all tourist visas are for 10 years. I will report back either way. I want to add that I am not looking to get married or live with my girlfriend in the States any time soon. The goal is a couple of short visits to the States per year.

Does she have money in the bank? If she is a poor barrio girl, I don't think she will get a visa.

I spoke to another guy here that is pretty well connected and he says that Colombian girls are getting into the US easier also. Need to fill out an application online, print it out, and bring it to El Centro. Cost is $165 and needs to be paid in El Centro. Every person is accepted and then a date is set, normally in about two weeks, in which all applicants are required to travel to Bogota. The decision is made that day. All tourism visas are good for 10 years.
I have heard that the most important thing, in being accepted, is stability in Colombia. Having a family that lives in a decent neighborhood, kids, good job, bank account, etc. Obviously the thing that they are screening for is Colombians not looking to return to Colombia.
I will report back after the process either way.

It's like a pyramid. The more beautiful, the more risk. Colombianas have amongst them a minority, but a very active such, of girls that are total psychopaths. It's incredible, but's it's a real social phenomenen! Meet one or two, just for the experience, for example at the 100% hoax site Amolatina. What you will experience with Amolatinagirls is what to be expected thereafter, in various versions. And; Yes, you can be a handsome guy! These girls don't care at all! They are like Cobras, focusing on killing their pray, wihtout any wish neither ability to feel some sort of empathy for their victim. The money goes to plastic surgery and luxury consumption.
All / Even local men say the same thing. I have several Medellin friends that avoid the local girls, even though they consider the girls to be along the most attractive one's in the world! Why: because they are always looking for money! You can't have a real relationship. That's the price of beauty in Medellin. It's good for us "putoneros", we just love to pay for sex, and then, fully relaxed, focus on something that has real value, while the prepago runs to Studio F and waste her sex-money, and do so until she can't! Conception of time, does not enter their world, just as little it does Cat's or Dog's world's! They just are HERE & NOW!
The result is that romantic sites are PR for prepagos. And for honest girls that don't think at all in those terms, if they knew what is constantly going on (the Cupid owners don't want to know, but they know) they would abandon those sites to never come back!

At Cupid sites and at Latineuro you might meet a honest person, even though the probability is very low, but paying relatively little money it's worth a try! While at Amolatina or Latinamericanlove the girls and the owner have an agreement. Which is logical, but really sick moral, and in the end improductive, since it scares away the guys and everyone that have heard or read of their stories.
I only have experience with Cupid and my 9 years of experience is the total opposite of you guys'. I have only met 2 gold diggers in person (one in Bogota and one in Cartagena) and they were promptly cut off as soon as I saw their angle. You have to nip that shit in the bud as soon as it starts. You are not a bank. But as soon as you agree to start giving or sending a woman money then that is exactly what you will be. Tell them no from the start. Don't be afraid to lose out on the pussy. There will always be pussy. And if worst comes to worst you can go right out and buy some direct for probably much cheaper. I have never had to give a cupid girl money or gifts and I am not about to start doing it today.
The site AMOLATINA. I mean I have met a totally "artificial"girl from the site I just hated her, her looks was 100% the result of modern science but very unnatural, I did hardly belive what I saw. And personality, was even worse! I had to control myself not explode of pure irritation. I also exchanged emails with five of the girls. This was in 2009. I chatted in Spanish and the girls from Medellin answered in English. When asked to answer in Spanish the conversation either died or she said " I just want to practise my English". Ridicolous! I entered to look around and get a picture what the site was about and I found out it was a total scam. How does such business go on? I mean, who stays longer than a day or two. Well, avoid.
And there are more of scamsites. It's like the sites over Russian mail Order brides. You pay money that represents months of incomes for a normal person in Colombia, in just an hour, a day or a fake date. I will come back with a review over other sites related to Colombia.
All sites are about $. All! But in different styles. Good reviews are often totally fakes. On Cupidmedias sites you can find a pretty girl, but before that you are likely to run into several internet-scammers. Here the girls operates independently. Cupidmedia of course know about this, but don't care, which actully might hurt their longterm interests. Colombianas are pestering foreigners to make them send money, to have sex for money or what would become a relationship for money. Peruanas, Argentinas, Chilenas, NO. Colombianas, it's part of their culture. Goodhearted members of this forum says that it is bad luck, I say it's a social law, as valid as any physical or matematical law!
These two sites are 100% scam sites.

You were correct.
This was a gut punch. Normally I am ready for the worst, when decisions are completely out of my control, but I was not prepared for this.
My Colombian girlfriend is 29 years old. 2 kids. 12 and 11 years old, lives in the same house her entire life with her parents and her kids.
Same job for 4 years as a secretary for lawyer. Letter of recommendation from lawyer with job details.
Letter from me stating that I would be with her and financing her trip.
Unfortunately not good enough.
The things that they focused on were as follows:
Do you own a house?
Do you own a car?
Do you have any relatives in the US?
How much money is in your bank account?
What is your job and how much do you earn?
Total cost was $700 which included airfare for 2, taxis, and the application itself ($175).
First taxi I take the next day in Medellin has a driver that received his US Tourism Visa one week earlier. The driver has a brother in the US, owns his taxi, owns his house in Belen, etc.
I will look at this again just before and during my January 2015 trip. I was told that writing a letter to the US Embassy might help. I will talk with an immigration lawyer back in the US. Her mother has a second house, albeit in a shitty area of Medellin, that she can officially sign over to her. I could put $5-$10 million pesos in her bank account also. We shall what happens, if and when, I cross that bridge.
Her mother bets me that she will get rejected on her future attempts. Typical attitude of a poor Colombian woman who has watched lots of poor get rejected in favor of the rich.
Applicants are allowed 3 attempts for a US Tourism Visa. I was told in Medellin the acceptance rate was 85% but found out in Bogota the actual acceptance rate is 60%.
If anyone has any suggestions please post them here or send me a pm.
