If you have Juan's email you have all the instructions you need to make payment to him. His email address serves as his account.

My suggestion is you don't need a backup plan with Juan,someone else yes,but not him.

The right attitude is exactly what you said, figure out what price you're willing to pay for the girl in front of you taking into account the kind of experience you're looking for.

Ditto Manazales comment on Juan. In monthly dealings for 7 years never a problem. Mmake the reservation quickly though, it is starting to get busy for Nov/Dec/Jan.

In renting an apartment with Juan, he sends the instructions for making the initial one night's PayPal deposit (along with other instructions) after you reserve the apartment. You didn't receive the instructions email because you hadn't comitted to a reservation.

So for others making their first rental with Juan: when you email him, find out what's available for your dates, make your decision, then tell him which one you want to reserve and confirm your dates. He will then email you back confirming your reservation and send you the instruction email. It's that simple.

He is a stand up guy. If you are still not sure go with a hotel a when you get there you will find out how silly you were. Maybe you are not ready for this hobby?

The orignal question posed to the board is legit and I am sure some guys like to come off as the worlds best deal maker. However, I am speaking from very recent experienc that Sub 100k COP for ST and around 150k COP for LT are very doable. I speak next to no spanish and don't really try to negotiate the last Pesso. Also, I have simply walked away from chicas asking for 300k COP for a few hours. They are simply starting from a crazy price point and I don't want to deal with that kind of nonsense.

There are varying quality of women. I am simply stunned when I see pictures posted of women that guys think are 8s or 9s; these same women I would rate as 5s or 6s. So quality is a factor to keep in mind.

Bottom line is that some guys probably exaggerate but when you average all of the information the truth is probably in the middle.

Headed to Cartagena in November for the first time. Didn't want to hastle with securing an apt, so was just gonna book a higher end hotel room. Are there any known to be chica friendly? Was thinking of staying around El Centro but I guess we could do Boca Grande as well.
