PS: I don't want to get one for the whole night anyway, when I have just met her on the street (did this two times, never again). For a good TLN you should have a good chemistry. The best way to do so is by having some drinks and dance a little... Just my 2 cents.

I was told to repost in a different thread so hopefully this is the right one. I'm plannin on stayin at NG Sept. 16-23. I was planning on booking tonight, but I wanted the opinion of the forum to see if it's just an awful time to go because of the hurricane season. Last year I went in November so I never really experienced the bad weather. I just don't want something dumb like that to ruin what should be a great experience. Thanks for all the help! PS. I Know you can't tell me whether or not there's gonna be a hurricane. But if you've been there in past septembers, I'd just like to know how frequently they hit during the season or if it's something that I shouldn't really even worry about. Thanks again! Actually we can. There has been no hurricane on the North Coast for over 100 years.

You may experience tropical storms but if you are staying in Sosúa this need not ruin your holiday. I have had some great times during stormy weather.

Of course, if you are going for the beach, the sea, or outings to the campo this answer does not apply.

Hurricane Jeanne in 2004 did extensive damage in the Sosua area.

These figures are good enough for ballpark, but remember that at current rates of exchange 1500 pesos is equivalent to about $42, which is not very much in a country where food and consumer goods like tooth paste and toiletries cost more than in the US.

You may be able to lowball, but this leaves you somewhat open to subsequent poor performance, requests for more money, or stealing.

As I am usually more concerned about the quality of the sex rather than the money, I have usually found it effective to incentivize the chica by offering a rather low retainer with a decent bonus for superior performance. For example you might offer 1000 pesos with a 500 peso bonus for superior performance, even if your real intention from the get go is to pay 1500 pesos. Most of these chicas are simple souls and they will get a sense of achievement and self esteem out of earning the bonus.

As regards all nighters, I would be a bit wary about opting for all night unless you have sampled the chica on a short term basis first and established that you and she have sexual and personal chemistry. If she is not going to kiss you girlfriend style and seem like she means it, then forget it.

The trouble is that many chicas may agree to all night reluctantly, but really they are itching to get home to children, family etc. so their heart is not in the job. The ones who are good for all night may have decided that you are good potential novio material and will pull out all the stops with an eye to long term rather than short term compensation.

All in all, although some of the women you meet will be hardened pros, it is probably better for the unwary who don't know the players to regard the chicas as decent poor women seeking money for survival, and act and treat them accordingly. This is how most of them see themselves, so this is how you will get the best results, regardless of objective truth.

Bottom line: the quality of the sex you get will depend mostly on the chemistry between you and the chica, regardless of the amount of money changing hands. If she likes you, you will definitely be able to negotiate a reasonable price.

Tropical Storms with lots of rain are possible in Sosua. North Coast, Sosua lies near a fault, so the ground has rumbled there in the past with small earthquakes.

The chicas have to make money, rain or shine some will be out. I was there for one trip and it rained everyday for 5 straight days. The intersection near the liquor store (super super), near the two banks, was flooded. The streets near classicos were passable.

More fun to have sunshine everyday, but that is not something that can be guaranteed. Even if a storm hits Sosua, you should still be able to monger.

Most Dominican chicas hate to get their hair wet in the rain. When it rains sometimes there, you will see the chicas covering their hair with plastic shopping bags and some motorcycle taxi guys (motoconchos) will tape plastic plates that restaurants use for take out food, onto the fenders of their motorcycles to block the spray of water from the tires.

True, as many others have. But:
1) By the time they reach the North Coast they are no longer of hurricane force, "just" tropical storms bearing the same names.
2) If you are fortunate to be a gringo, inhabiting buildings intended for gringos, you would be exceptionally unlucky to suffer any real harm from a tropical storm. For the poor bloody locals who live in shacks, often in low-lying areas, it is a different story. It is they who suffer the "extensive damage" you mention, not us.

Sure, if Bettaman is so unlucky that he spends much of his 7 days in stormy weather it will be a bloody nuisance and somewhat reduce his enjoyment, but are the odds on that short enough to deter him from booking a trip? Definitely not.

Got to Sosua Friday. Coconut palms resort offered me a deal. It was 70 dollars for a week, but you have to hear the sales pitch. Nice resort adequate rooms, decent food and private beach. Went to Classicos Friday night it was half full, El flow was packed as usual, but I settled on Latinos because the had the NY vsTPA baseball game on TV. Trying to figure out if I want something new or a regular. Settled on a regular because I didn't need any drama at the resort. Told maria from Cabarette to meet me at the sosua taxi stand in two hours. While I'm watching the game something strange was going on. This skinny white dude in dress shirt and shorts keeps circling latinos looking spaced out. After 15 laps in ten minutes, I ask the waitress whats up with him. She said a girl from Santo Domingo came up and the next morning he was like that. They said she put the heebyjeebys on him. Well back to the game NY kicked Tampa's ass. Picked Maria up and we went home. When she saw this nice ass resort with a nice pool, she instantly says lets fuck in the pool. I'm not getting kicked out the first night. Maria is a cold freak and can fuck anywhere and never says no. So I like to play the I don't want no pussy role, because it turns me on having her seduce me. We fucked on the couch, in the mirror, then on the bed. The bed kept banging the wall, I expected to hear security knocking at my door, but it never happened. NOW HERE'S THE BAD PART my girl has to be at player dorado for work at 9am At 7am we go to get her cedula, and they gave it to a girl who didn't even look like her (WHAT)On top of this the Barney Fife security agency (dominican security) says No chicas can have their cedulas until this girl is found. So every girl that turned in cedulas had to leave without id. I say to them if she got the wrong cedula, her cedula is here. Go down sosua and find her but colonel Shultz (security) says no. After 8 hours the girl realized she had the wrong cedula and returned it. But I wasn't in the clear yet. They said if I didn't bring the girl in they wouldve never gave out the wrong cedula. I was handed 70 dollars and told our arrangment wasnt working. I couldve challenged it but with security against me any kind of bullshit can happen. So back to Europa, dominoe bar, 4 roses, classicos, latinos and the el pollo man. I've wrote in previous reports about my goings on in these places so I'll spare you. But Thursday it's Boca Chica.

To the old Vets. I use to go to sosua and stay at John place. I have sence been converted into a Rio monger. I will be in Sousa Tomorrow for only 4 nights need a nice girls friendly place. I was there last year for a week and stayed at the Europer nice place.

I have just finished my third stay in Sosúa. Every time I go to Sosúa, it is a completely different experience and this was no exception.

As usual, I stayed at the New Garden Hotel. One important tip is that you can have Wilfried send you a taxi to pick you up at the airport. That would be especially nice for those who are linguistically challenged with Spanish.


New Garden is rapidly expanding and changing every year that I am there. They are finishing the touches of what promises to be a nice restaurant. The Haitian construction men were busy painting the final bits of the new addition.

As soon as I showered up, I strolled over to Siempre Sol on the beach to seek out Herman and girls. I had been with only one girl the previous year, a feisty, totally insane Haitian girl named Simone or Simona. She was so nice, so GFE last year and I was anxious to be with her again this time around.

After the usual greetings, I asked Herman about Simona and he immediately called her on his cell phone. Some 20 minutes later, there she was casually strolling down the beach with some Haitian girlfriends in tow.

She greeted Herman first and, unexpectedly, gave a curt hi to me. That was it. Yes, she had changed. Last year, she was in tears when I left and even accompanied me to the airport. She really seemed to have been sad at my going. It was no cheap act.

This time round, Simona seemed to be quite cold but made it abundantly clear she wanted me to get her. In the course of an hour, I was convinced to buy her a drink as well as panties and a matching bra. Soon after, when we left the beach, she suddenly really needed a good comb and manicuring. Another 200 pesos.

New Garden is now quite strict with the girls who enter and so Simona produced an ID that bore the name Espéré. When asked this, she said, unconvincingly, that was her new but real name. It was especially unconvincing since no one called her that.

Once at the hotel, she performed her services but the changes were alarming. No DATY and while doing the old in and out, she was belting out the same lines, in English, as a black porn star in a cheap flick and with about as much sincerity.

Indeed, in just a year, it seemed she had learnt not only pidgin English but pidgin German as well. Wow, how many guys have gone through her? Before, we only conversed in Creole and Spanish. She sure learnt a lot with customers! Horizontal University must be tops for learning languages!

She told me, in English!!, that she would come over in the morning and fuck me a lot. She never came. That was it. I got another Haitian girl to replace her (there are plenty of fish in the sea of Sosúa) who told me what Simona's problem was: cocaine. It all fit. The next day, the "becoked" Simona showed up at the beach and brazenly sat in front of me and a Belgian I was talking to but I just ignored her. The ebony queen of snow tried to convince me to buy her a drink and lunch but I am no chump, at least a complete chump.

Too bad, but she still is pretty and her age never seems to change as it is the same as last year. Hmmm. She still has a lot of mileage left and guys who like slim, svelte black girls will be lining up for her. Buyer beware!

I got her in the daytime when I was kill time with my amigo and released her at night to pick up something else. Although she was excellent in bed I can't remember her name. LOL. Not a whole lot of talking needed with this one.
