Pattaya Reports

I'm in pattaya right now, first trip was in 2015, last trip was back in 2016. So I certainly don't have the experience / hindsight that much older mongers / expats do when they've been / live in Pattaya back in 2008-2015.

I'm not going to complain about prices, that's stupid. Prices will always go up in every mongering country. But I will complain about the lineup, holy hell what a disappointment. I will always love and visit Thailnd, but its hard when you can see how much better it used to be. That doesn't mean other mongering cities can beat it, they can't, but its still a bit sad.

Sapphire, bad. Sensations, bad. Whatsup, gone. Insomnia, shockingly trash (but its been on the decline even in 2016). These used to be my go-to spots for WGs and freelancers. I'm scared to walk into Skyfall to check how bad it has gotten, not to mention any other new go-go. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to scout every hidden gym beer bar or gogo or disco. I'm sure there’s still solid talent that can be found.

XS and Palace are the only saving grace for me. Iron, Pinup and Baccara are ok. I will try kink. I didn't like my last visit to Fahrenheit but apparently a lot folks still do.

In summary, I miss the old Pattaya. I don't know if 2015 counts as "old" but there was a lot more quality around. I will still visit obviously, but my smile won't be as wide.

Go into Butterfly and OMEGA, Toy Box, and maybe Flirt. You may find a few pleasant surprises. For go go bars, try Co Co and Moon go go.

Sapphire, Sensations, Baccara, WhatsUp, Fahrenheit, Happy, Skyfall, and Windmill (for dirty fun) were the prime WS gogo bars in 2015. You won't find any gogo bar like they were back in the good old days. I remember Sensations you had to walk through well over 100 girls just to get in to the bar. There must have been 150-200 girls on many nights. Oddly places like Palace had very few girls the couple of times I visited back in 2015.

Some attractive whiteys can be found at kelaya bar 66. I think they might require 40 drinks though. In total, not to 1 girl.

Day 1.

The night began at Bliss. I had a few drinks with a girl named "Lick" and her friend. Lick quoted me 1500 baht for the bar fine and 4000 baht for ST, and she offered LT for 5000 baht (I think). Seeing her in the lights, I decided to pass.

What bothered me about the Bliss was the constant harassment for drinks. Despite being there for less than 20 minutes and buying drinks 3 drinks each for Lick and her friend, others started approaching for drinks. Bliss was nearly empty around 10 pm, with only three customers that I counted. The pressure to buy drinks took all the fun out.

After Bliss, I intended to go to Windmill but ended up in another gogo in the first alley. I don't recall its name. They were less insistent on drinks, but the lineup was weak. After a few drinks, I finally made it to Windmill, not much to say other than I was able to check the box by visiting. I did get the price. 500 for the room and 4000 for the girl. No thanks.

At this point, I was done with Walking Street and decided to go to 6th Street. I had more fun here, especially at Utopia bar and Toybox. A girl at Utopia wanted to go to the hotel with me. I might take her before my trip ends, but I had too many drinks and was tired, took a motorcycle taxi. I won't do that again; I was afraid for my life with the way they weave in and out of traffic.

I have taken care of a couple of ladies in the past in one bar. Then others see and want in on the action. I simply say this. I can't take care of every girl in the bar. It's not my responsibility. That always works.

as fior Soi 6, not 6th street, you made the right move. Walking street is only good for a once in a while excursion. I love it. But I spend there majority of my time on Soi 6 and in gents clubs.

She's not who you want to BF. Yes, of course many other girls came running up to you looking for drinks cause they saw you buying quick drinks for the girl you were with. Thai girls have a keen sense on guys who may not know how things work and take full advantage of them. Your girl should have waved them off. If she didn't then she's not the right girl.

Bliss takes full advantage of being the first(?) gogo bar as you walk on to WS. Like a night market, think twice before buying from the first stall that sells something you want.

Never had a girl ask for 40 drinks at Kelaya. Even years ago they didn't go with all guys rather who they liked. Problem was they wanted gogo bar prices and this was when Soi 6 was strictly 300 + 1000. I never lasted more than 1 or 2 drinks with a girl at Kelaya. The good thing about Kelaya is the girls aren't sharks and they don't rush you for drinks, unlike what Gator experienced above.

I am heading over to Soi 6 in the next few days. I will report back with any sitings of 40 drinks AKA Raj Patel. His assessment of the talent in soi 6 is soley based on photos in Facebook. If he is on the ground, he needs to actually enter one of the bars to see the full line up. Walking by and making 500 Baht ST offers to random girls just won't cut it.

I am here from last 3 weeks and 6th visit this year.

Only thing I did differently this time that avoid Gogo bars and it's costing me 40-50% less money this time.

Gogo quality is going down, girls and even waiters way too pushy for drinks, mamasan asking a big tip after you barfine a girl and also buying tequila shot pressure.

I mainly spend my day in gents club or in a room with Thai friendly girl.

Evening. Mostly Soi6 and night with Thai friendly freelancer or sometime I barfine from Soi6.

I like gents clubs. Girls are naughtier, value for money, relax environment and they have rooms as well.

I think I am going to stick to Gents club, Soi 6 for evening drinks and Thai friendly.

Soi Bukhao is cheaper than Soi6 but quality is not there.

I would highly recommend "Fire", especially if you can participate in one of the Fired UP events they have on Wednesdays and Fridays. They girls might not all be the best looking, but they really do know how to have a good time and the management team seems to know how to please the customers. I would also suggest Hollywood, again, some really cute girls and they seem to know how to treat a good customer. A nice balance between being forward and being aggressive. That at least has been my experience. These are just my Soi 6 experiences. I would also suggest tagging along on one of the sponsored Soi 6 bar crawls. It is a nice way to experience many bars on the Soi with like minded people and the bars you visit have an incentive to put their best options to you. If you find something you like, no problem to drop out, either for the evening or catch up later.

Utopia around 9 pm had some Very Ok lookers. Meaning more than 1.

Very worth 1,500-2,000. I fancied the one in Glasses.

One Utopia girl flexxed what looked like a large amount of thousand baht bills. She was overly Joyous. MeThinks someone Vastly overpaid. Hahaha 🤣.

Another bar where I was at. A certified 2 got Barfined. Not by a Korean though. He look like from East Asia. No offense.

It feels a bit like agogos overplayed their hands with the urge to make a lot of money fast. Higher salaries and we see 300 THB LD soon. The whole business model is broken at least.

Not only read here but all over the internet you read more about pushing for LD's and the Asian learned the ladies the trick you don't have to tell a "my sister no drink please" stories. So in some agogos they just arrive like a flock of seagulls.

For 2023/2024. Not sure what agogos punters should go to have an "old time" experience. Probably windmill is still oke. But KINK is also heading to overthetop? Yeah still fun there but doesn't give the same feeling as before (or Windmill precovid?
