I am considering taking a lay-over in BK during the first week of January – any perspectives on whether the scene here is alive during that week or if I should look else where?

This is the 4th. Consecutive of my holidays / vacation trips to BKK.

The mongerings scenes are the same with a lot of MP'S and lightweight on Nana and Soi Cowboy go go bars.

Definitely, I am enjoying the sure bets that I can get from MP. 'S girls for a 2500baht session. With a decent GFE. Style. The bars are now full of sharks who are real hungry with the downturn of economy in NEP.

It is great just to come for a few drinks and the shows, but it may not well worth the money and effort to bring back to the hotel.

However, the overall BKK experiences are well worth long haul trip from USA. At anytime.

My 4 weeks holliday is almost over. I spent 1 week in BKK, 2 weeks in Pattaya and than the last week in BKK.
Both places have pros and cons. But, over all I can say I prefer BKK. Imho BKK has more beauties, also more choices. I prefer Free Lancer from discos or beer garden because no bar fine, no lady drinks and no 3rd party involved. Also, the hunt for the prettiest girl in the club is one of the main pleasure. In Gogos, it's too easy. You just point to the girl you like, pay a lady drink, deal about the price, barfine and that's it.
Nornally I go to Gogos just to bridge the time before the discos and clubs get busy. But, yesterday I had a very nice experience with a gogo girl. It must be years since I barfined a gogo girl.
Were in Mandarin in NEP. Somehow the Mamasan recocgnized me from a previous holliday. Must be in another gogo, since I was first time in Mandarin. She is a very kind lady asked what girls I prefer. I explained, I like girls with round, big asses and small waists. I know that is very seldom in Thailand.
Mamasan found one from the top stage from that bar. She is 19, looks a bit like Gogo from the movie Kill Bill and undressed she had really a very sexy hardbody. Ok, not really a big ass, but compare to the size of the waist the hips and ass have the right ratio.
Will say even when she was petit, she had curves and that is important. I don't like the usual strait und underdeveloped Thai girls bodies. I really hate flat asses.

First I point out that Thai currency is Baht ot THB is O.K.
So often we see Bath and Bhat. Being a pedantic I can't resist LOL

But on more interesting stuff, I am a bottom and curves man myself. The ideal bottom should be like a full ripe peach or apricot. another thought is the bum cheeks should be like an upside down heart shape. firm but with a bit of giggle and wobble.

I don't find Thai girls bodies to be all that straight.
I course I don't frequent Nana Plaza with lots of straightish ladyboys.
I find Chinese girls to be often a bit too straight for me with flatish bums too common.

"airw lek sapork yai" is the Thai expression for small waist but wide at the thigh area. which is what I prefer. I am not a massive tit man especially if silicone. But i nnever complain about natural C or D cups if not saggy.

Two other points. It looks more sexy to me if a girl has a nice 2-3 cm gap betweenthe top of her legs. If they bash together, then she iis too fat for me.

I share your preferences regarding curvy figure. Just I think a Thai girl with a hip to waist ratio from 0.6 is very seldom, even 0.7 is seldom. If a slim Thai girl have waist circumference from lets say 60 cm (which is about 24 inch) than she needs to have hips from 100 cm (40 inch) circumference to have a ratio from 0.6. That you might find in south Europe, Middle East, South America often, but on East Asia such is very seldom.
For example Beyonce Knowless has a very curvy figure. A quick check in the internet will teach that her measurement are 33-26-42. That would be a ratio hips to waist from 0.62. Other info is that her measurement is 36-24-34 and thats a ratio of about 0.7. So, how ever Beyonce is about 1.69 or 5'7". For smaller Thai girls such curves are almost impossible.

I recognize LB almost ever. They seems to know about the magic of hip to waist ratio and you often can see (at last in Pattaya) that they use had some operations in that regard. Cut out of lower rips, to get a smaller waist and filling of silicon at hips and butt. So, they looks sometimes really bizzare.

I agree Chinese girls are imho even more straight and have less curves than Thai girls. Though there are enough guys who like it just in that way.

Walked down past that pretentious "Ice" bar and found some nice ladies at the bar attached to the Honey Restaurant, to the left of that little Honey plaza. Was a very friendly bar - kind of like the ones you see down on soi 6 in Pattaya, except these girls were actually good looking. Anyway, I talk to her for awhile and ask about the barfine. 500 baht, and she wanted 2000 for ST and 4000 for longtime. Beer nearly came out of my nose. Haven't been quoted those prices since a Suzie Wong supermodel last February, and this girl was nowhere near as good looking as the Suzie Wong's girl. Tried to negotiate but she was adamant, so I fucked off home and had a wank.

I think next month I'll finally go over and try Tulip. Experiences like this keep happening in this city (mainly in the bars). It's not like I look rich - I was wearing cargos and a beach t-shirt. I'll save my money for Tulip or Pattaya where I can get better value.

Got yesterday a quote from a girl in a gogo in NEP, from 1000 ST. She is very pretty, barfine 600 Baht and 1000 Baht ST. Well, I would have done it, but when I asked if she could see me after work in Spice Club, she told "can not because am 17". Well, of course this was a no go, for me to take her, even when she was very hot and kisses very sweet. Well, after that I took the girl from Mandarin.
FL in Spice or other clubs ask for 2000 LT, some even less. Depends on many factors. Some who are very pretty, but not long in business may ask less, than others whose look not so nice, but worked already in Singapore or Hongkok. So, in Bangkok it's hit and miss.

Best advice, when you get bad prices in one bar, try the next. Bars with no or not much customer, might be a good choice. Girls might be desperate to make some business. Could imagine that the gogos in Patpong might be a good place now. Not much customer, at least such who barfine. So, girls might go down with price, or agree to meet outside the gogo after work.

Not sure what you mean by "full of sharks", Tratnguyen1. Is that a good thing or bad? I would have thought now is probably a good time to visit, as the girls would be hungry for business and likely give better service. Also, less competition for the good girls.

No need to worry about the tape measure. Just do the width by eye. I was talking about distince from one side to the other. We cannot go round measuring all the girls carefully.
It may be slightly easier to meet the criteria this way.

Contrary to what you say, quite a lot of Thai girls do manage to get under the 0.7 although I will concede 0.6 is rare in any Country and less than that, seen only occasionally, looks quite strange and not even desirable.

Thats why MPs like Tulip are valuable. Reliable and don't have to negotiate.

Imho, BKK is still a No brainer for a mongering trip. Maybe I come from an old school and take the convienence of BKK over the adventurous sites like Manila or Jakarta. The baht is running weak and this is a better time to visit my USD is streching up to 35B. Vs. 30B only 6 mos. Ago.

Okay, I had more bad experience with the hungry girls, the sharks. In NEP. The good news is just happened last night when I visited the Country road bar and take out a beauty in services and only 3mos. In the game. The beauty offered LT. For 2000baht and I just Can't say no eventhough I already Had my fills in the MP early.

So, I can call that a Home run and try to keep her for the next couple days.

I guess he means the girls are now very eager to get a Lady drink or barfined. It sounds good, but of course it can be a bit awkward, since almost only the ugly girls in the bars will be desperately try to squeeze a lady drink out of you. The pretty ones don't need that.
Checked yesterday some gogos in NEP in which I usuall not go. The Rainbow gogos were full like everyday. The smaller ones Lollipop, Vodoo, Mandarin second floor, Hollywood, etc where not real fun. As soon as I sat one or two girls were on my side and tried to grind out some money from me, with the usual questions, like were are u from? What's your name? Who long will you stay? etc. On the dance floor were no pretty girls imho. So, I tried to leave the clubs as soon as possible. Couldn't say that I found one good one in NEP yesterday.
So, I went to Soi Cowboy. Wow, I were in one club which was really outstanding. It was Tilac. It was full and difficult to find a free place. No, waitress asked my what I want to drink, since all were busy. On the dance floor some really hot dancer. It was really relaxing not to be the center of attention and just could enjoy the nice views. So, Tilac was really like an Oasis in a desert. Some of the girls were really stunning, better than everything I saw until now even in the Rainbow bars.
Those real stunning girls were different dressed, than the other girls. They had no numbers. I am not sure, but I thing I saw them before in Spice Club as professional dancers. I guess those girls are either were expensive, or can not be barfined at all. I did not ask the staff, since I just enjoyed the view.
Later tried some other bars in Soi Cowboy, like Baccara, Midnite, Sharks, etc. Not bad but also nothing special.
At the end I took a FL girl from Spice disco, which I didn't regret.

I ask myself how all those bars with less customer and especially all those little street stalls which sell T-Shirts, Throusers etc can survive. Specially those T-Shirt stalls, looks not like a good investment. There are hundreds at Sukhomvit and most likely thousands over all Bangkok which all sell the same kind of T-Shirts. Looks that they don't sell much over the day.
They build up there little stall in the afternoon and dismantle it late at night, maybe not selling on thing. Even when, I guess the profit per T-Shirt can't be high. Poor people indeed.

@Zahle and Mick Licker, of course I do not tape the girls, but of course I check with eyes only. I think in Thailand you will find less curvy girls than in Africa, Europe, or America. Of course in North /Middle Europe and most likely North America nowadays girls became more bolt and less femine.
From Asia, I think that one who like curvy girls find better selection in Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines. I was never in Vietnam so I don't know the situation there, but saw alot of Vietnamese girls in Germany were I usual live. Thailand is of course a great place to spent the holliday. Over all it's the best place imho, just imho it's not as easy to find a curvy Thai girl.

Now, you can see that dress in many gogos in Pattaya. In Soi Cowboy the marine look is on vogue. Many gogos have girls at the entrance with that dress.

Sounds like while I like slim but curvy, you are probably looking for a lot more meat. While I like a 45 kilo girl (50 if taller), perhaps you like 60 kg with big booty.
